Failed 659/900. This exam can be helpful but don't use this solely thinking you're going to pass. From the very beginning I had about 8-10 simulation which this exam did nothing to prepare me for.

Still, there were maybe 6 questions from this exam that were on the test.

Use this, but read the damn book and find a way to get simulation examples. Damn Simulation threw me.

Wow. Passed the net+. I studied very hard. Watched professor Messers videos and studied numerous books.
However I am certain I would not have passed but for this dump. Thank you all so much! A previous commenter mentioned that these dumps were more helpful than their examcram book. I would agree, except that I read examcram and mike myers. I dont think you can pass with the dump alone. But it sure helped

Ohh!! I did it 764/900 anyway I passed. First of all study many resources and most of all it is a memory test . Try to memorize the ethernet and wireless standard second your performance and some practical experience off course will be good for you . I got 6 questions or more simulation. My resources are
1. Prof messer videos. Watch all of it many times
2.prof meseer notes

SIMS:

1. Match tools
2. Setup wifi AP's with antenna's (parabolic, omnidirectional and directional). As well as security (open for building 1 and WPA2-CCNP for building 2.
3. Change settings of AP 2 (full 100 and channel 6)
4. Drag correct cable type between switch and pc (cat5 straight), WAN (Single mode, LX) switch and patch panel (cat6 crossover) and server and switch (cat6 straight)
5. An overview of 2 networks connected togerher with pc's, AP's, multiple routers etc. You need to select the device that is causing problems. I thought is was the WLAN router (switched WAN connection with LAN) but are not sure!)
6. Ping server from 4 desktops. Change SM and GW. Easy!

Overall pretty tough examen. I already did S+ and studied hard for N+.

How can I get the real simulations in the exam mode? Which software should I use to open the simulation? Note: I have the VCE software from avanset but I want just the simulation questions to practice exactly as they are in the exam. The one I have in the VCE is read-only with some explanations.

Can anyone please answer whether to use the parabolic wireless antenna inside building 1 or directional antenna? I was reading from Test Out and they have directional for inside and parabolic to connect two buildings together. One of the commentators here mentioned to use parabolic antenna inside the building. I am a bit confused here. Thanks! :) I have the test this Wednesday.

Just ensure that the AP has 5 channels of seperation between them so that they dont overlap. (Channels 1,6 and 11)

Just passed the exam with 869/900. I think I had 4 or 5 Sims, none were new. 20% of the questions were probably word for word on this dump, but there were new questions. In all my studying (which entailed watching all of Prof Messer's material and studying multiple dumps multiple times) I never came across what port 88 is for, so know that. If you understand the dumps to the point where you know why the answer is the answer (because you know the concept) then you will be fine. Hurry up and take the exam, because at the end of August the 005 exam expires.

I'm about to take the exam and I'm looking for the SIM to practice. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Two sims exactly the same.
These are the sims I had. 50% same multiple choice questions.
I passed with almost no IT experience and only 6hrs of study.
1.2 Buildings have 5 wifi units need to be configured (encryption and antenna types) 3 units inside building 1 and 2 units to connect the buildings together.
2.Subneting for departments in a company, each one has specific amount of users.
3. 3 WAPs, one of them need to be configured (Channel, duplex .. gets).
4.Match connectors with their names.
5.Match tools with their jobs.
6. 4 PCs, ping them with the server, and re configure if there is any wrong.

On the 3 WAP you should change settings for AP2. Mode-G, Speed -100, Duplex-Full, should Channel be 6 or 11.

Got 6 Sims.
1>> Match Connectors with cable types
2>>3 AP, AP2 is faulty.. All you have to do is change the AP2 mode to G mode and channel to 6, also don't forget to upload the speed to 100 and duplex to FULL.
3>>One sim about 4 PCs unable to connect to Servers A and B. All you have to do is update the Sub-net Mask on 1 Pc and Default Gateway on another PC (PC1 and PC2 are the culprits.
4>>Drag and Drop about networking tools
5>>1 Sim was about 2 buildings with WiFi
Ensure Building 1 has WiFi set to OPEN on all 3 AP with Antennae used Parabolic LEFT, Omnidirectional in center and Parabolic Right. Also ensure that the Building 2 has the WPA mode Set to WPA-CCMP.

This dump isn't valid.Use your brain.It says v2013 and we are now in 2015,which means that this dump is old, likewise the ones that say v2014.Use the ones that say v2015,eg,luxx,ronboot,diana, Oliver.

I had my test today 06/03/2015 in the US, passed with 864, this dump is useful but don't depend on it to pass the exam, i mean it can help you to understand few things and you can see few questions same in the exam but not that much to pass it.
Sims are :

Can you tell us what material you used that helped you pass?

Took the test yesterday 5/5/15 and passed it. I don't think the dumps are that accurate because a good portion of the test had simulations about networking scenarios and I had to manipulate the equipment in the simulator. Some of the questions were there but not many.

Passed today(25/03/2015) with score 832/900.
Dumps not valid any more, but will help with studying.I have used testout to study. Sims were the same as mentioned in previous posts.

None of these dumps will help you pass the test. I passed the test with a 8xx/900 with only two hours of study. My CCNA/CISSP knowledge help me crush this test. There were 5 simulations and they were pretty simple. The hardest one can be through the use of CIDR. Understand how to break up an address and assigning blocks of IPs depending on the size requirements per department. Another, you have to match the cables ends and another was based on changing an IP so other cpus can talk to the server. THE VCEs are valid for INFORMATIONAL STUDY. So, if your missing them really bad… the test will be the same way. If your killing about 75 percent of the questions (not through memorization), you will pass.

Was at a testing center today. Yes, 005 is still a valid test. Delete the idoit comment of it not being valid.

Just to clear up any confusion, I just called CompTia and they said although the 006 was introduced late last month to replace 005, 005 will still be administered until the summer. Please note that 006 will be more challenging-- especially for those who don't have much or any hands on experience, or for those that do have experience but lack the formal education associated with it (just because you spent 15 years as an IT administrator someplace does not mean you will pass this exam- trust me, I know people with "real" experience who failed these exams). In any case--- save yourself potential headache and take the 005 exam ASAP!!!!

I called CompTia and the said that test N10-005 will be avaliable to take until August 2015. After that, N10-006 will be required and N10-005 will be removed or not valid.

None of these dumps will be valid anymore since this version of the certification, N10-005, was retired in late February of 2015 and replaced with N10-006; you can read more about it on comptia's site.

HiGuys I wrote the exam today in South Africa and the dump is not valid but it can help you know how to tackle some questions and its exactly how dev and others explain it there too many new questions and the sims are totally different, all I can say study hard using Proffesor messer or trainsignal videos, I managed to pass the exam with 735 from the 720 passing mark :)

Took the exam on 2/16 and passed with a score of 849/900. I did not use any brain dumps (don't trust them!). However, examcollection.com is very useful in finding out what sims to expect. I used Prof. Messer's videos, his study guide (best $10 I ever spent on anything education related!), CompTia exam objectives and a variety of practice question mobile apps (believe it or not, some of these are very useful!). Here are the sims I got:

1)3 AP's, need to configure AP 2. Make sure you select a non-overlapping channel.
2)Match hardware tools with description.
3)Sim with a router, switch, hub and access point-does the device have multiple/single collision/broadcast domains?
4)4 PCs, use ping to determine which ones cannot connect to the server and why (on my exam two of them were able to connect, one needed subnet mask changed and the other needed default gateway changed).
5)Match the correct cable types with two server racks (devices included PC, server, switches)

Suprisingly, I did NOT get the subnetting/CIDR sim, which is what I studied for most! Also did not get the sim dealing with antenna types. Nevertheless, review all sims mentioned on this site, use a variety of resources in your study and you should do just fine.

Sat the exam today the DANIELLE 534 dump is 100% with working simms. every question and simm was from the dump all 3 of us passed using it with 8xx score

Took Net + and scored 8XX...The test goes like this, 8 simulation questions right off the bat (the dumps didn't even have ONE of the sims, pitiful), then the rest MC. Total of 86 questions.

I'll give it to you straight: These dumps only have maybe , MAYBE 10 or 15 questions out of the 86. These dumps are OLD and NOT valid. I even payed $100 for L2P...OLD and NOT VALID.

My advice, read all Professor Messer free study stuff. Know your CIDR. For two weeks and use these dumps as practice. You'll pass, and you'll be glad you listened to me. These dumps need to be updated, OLD. Promise.

I just passed the test today 840 score in san diego, CA. Only 50% of the questions, if not less, actually came from this dump or the one from Ruth or Deduda. You have to study for this test and actually understand the technology in the book.
Some of the new questions are
- VLSM on an already subnetted network (2 questions)
- identify cable connectors and tools (crimper, multimeter...)
- identify the cable type, speed and connector types (lx, sx,fx,fc etc...) i would say at least 10 questions asked me about this.
- 802.11i af q ...
- signal strength in relative to distance and antena (like 2 buildings 900 meters apart would need what antena that provides at what dB)

is this file still valid because im taking my test next week i need to know, or do i need to study another file

this dump sucks. 10% at most. the simulations helped my score very much. definitely look into the sims and remember them. if you A's the sims you will most likely pass the exam. the multiple question were very hard, know your ports, wireless standards, setting up connectivity, know subnettign/cidr,

I would say that this dump is around 30-40% valid. I just took the exam (31 jan) and definitely passed but I also used other dumps. Study protocols. Memorize ports. The main thing IMO is understanding acronyms. If you know that you're half way through. Also, study wireless standards. I still recommend this dump but don't leave it at that.

Took the Network plus on 1/24/2014.....this dump is still valid!!!

This dump is maybe 30-40% accurate, if you study Ruth/Pappu/Anontester you should be ok for about 70% of the questions. There are now loads of new questions and three new simulations.

- Server RACK You have to choose the right cables(Ethernet + Fiber) to connect two new sever racks together. I think I got this one wrong. Know where to use CAT5/CAT5e/CAT6/Straight Through/Cross over/Fiber.

- Server troubleshooting - You have 4 Computers that cannot connect to two servers, figure out why, fix and make sure with commands. You have to change various things like gateways/Subnets/etc.

- Wireless Antenna - Know all about antenna, e.g Dipole/Omnidirectional antenna/ etc...

The other sims on the dumps are vaild. The questions are maybe 30/40% right. Good luck!

Took the test yesterday 1/17/14 and sims were pretty much same as previous test format but questions were really different from this dump, I recommend waiting or getting some access to those new testking material, as for me I passed with an 800, but wouldn't take the test depending on this dump or pappu.

passed my N+ exam on the 10/01/2014. this dump is not valid on its own, read everything you can get, had 5 simulations, 3 of them from this dump, 1 from Ruth's dump and the other one i have never seen it. questions are quite tricky, read them thoroughly, all the best

I just finished the test today, passed with an 874.. i can honestly say that this dump and Papu's dump were all the questions i got... The sims i got were

1. enabling and disabling the ports on 3 switches. like listed in the comments below.

2. configure the antena types and security on 5 WAP. 3 indoors in building 1 and 2 outdoor between building 1 and 2

3.Verify the tool used to check the cable and say what was wrong with it.. like listed below in the comments.

4. the cable crimp, you basically had to crimp out a 568B cable.

80% of the questions as i said above were from those two dumps. Study the material dont just rely on dumps to study as i believe Comptia has a huge pool of questions to choose randomly from. if you dont know your stuff then don't be blaming dumps if you fail...

I just took the test on 12/20/13 this test and pappu's test help out a lot to get you prepared for the type of questions you would see on the test, about 10-15 questions from this dump were on the test.

@cp, thanks for the heads up on the simulations you received it was a great help to allow me time to prepare for what to expect on the test.

I used the exam cram book n10-005, professor messer website for visual study, this dump and pappu's to help prepare for the test.

Best advice when taking test, read questions slowly and throughly, try to use process of elimination - if you did read a good book for test prep, you should be able to determine whether the question is asking for a protocol or an actual piece of hardware. I got several questions were I was asked to name a protocol and out of 5 choices 4 were tools to use on testing cables.

Good luck future test takers. study a book, learn osi model, common protocols, and ports - should be good to go.

Took the test about two weeks ago. Studied this exam and passed with no problem. It's still good.

I'd say the answers are clear cut but make sure you study hard. Some of the questions may seem ambiguous if you don't know the material. Google anything you don't understand!

I'm going to study all those dumbs as I am taking my test next month. Do the questions from the actual test provide clear cut anwers or does it seem like there could be more than 1 answer?

I passed the test day before yesterday, 846/900. It sounds like I had the same sims as CP. There were 80 questions, 7 of which were sims. This dump helped me with 2 or 3 of them, plus about 40-50% of my questions were identical from this dump. I'm pretty sure failed the sim with the 2 new racks, though.
I recommend study from a book and from this dump, and you will be fine.

Guys im planning to write in january next year, any1 from South Africa please tell if dump is still valid incase no new 1 comes out by the time i write. and do tell abt the sims on the actual exam

I don't know where yall took your test but i just took the net+ and got 858 the anon and papu are like 100% valid.

I passed my test today with a 842 studying mainly this dump, and Professor Messer videos. As other people mentioned, this dump is no longer valid. Only about 10 questions were on the actual exam. Simulations are the toughest. Study your encryption protocols and the OSI/ TCP Model thoroughly. Only like 1 subnetting question. Know your Fiber and Twister Pair CABLING STANDARDS! lots of questions on those! GOOD LUCK!!!

I took the N+ yesterday and passed 885! I can confirm there is a large amount of new questions probably only about 5 -10 questions from this dump. The exam started with about 8 sims including the 3 WAP point, how to pin out a TI 568B Cable, one about your collision and broadcast domains for hub/router/switch and a bridge I think, how to configure some pc`s (just check the SM and IP and it should be easy.) The answers to the questions are even more vague than on this dump and more so open to interpretation, Also well worth knowing about your different security methods eg Radius,Kerberos,Tacacs,PKI. My advice would be wait for the new dump if you have time, if not go with a paid test provider or really really know your stuff!!

took the test today, about 30% of the exam questions were from this dump, yet not a word by word matching, they changed some questions just a little yet it resulted in completely different answers. Simulations were hard, most of them not on this dump. I'd say study hard and know your materials. many people who took the test today with me did not pass.

Taking my test tomorrow...since there is no new dump, any advice is appreciated. Wish me luck!

Know your ports, wireless encryptions, subnetting, wiring types and what connectors they using, firewalls types(software, hardware), IDS & IPS,

This dump is about 40%. 7 Sims all at the beginning of the test. A few questions about OSI layer compared to TCP/IP model. One of the sims was to place the Ethernet wires in order for B. So you need to know that. A lot on ports. One about what ports 500/UDP and 10000/UDP were for that I guessed on. I think I put lt2p and pptp...something. Anyway this dump is no longer gonna cut it. I did still pass though 837. But I did study other things...

I took the test on the 6th.
I had a few simulations from this dump. Several questions. I scored 874. I am a girl with zero networking experience, watched professor messor videos, download about 5-6 different dumps and went through them over a period of 2 weeks. I wasn't just memorizing the answers, but trying to understand the concept and logic behind the answers, googling stuff I didn't know. Overall, very easy test.

Hey guys, I just took my exam this morning and passed with a 846! This dump really helped me and I would say there is about 40% of the questions from here on the exam. There were 6 simulations on my exam and I recalled seeing 3 of simulations in this dump.

Tip: The exam I took today covered a little more on wireless networking; 802.11, channels, frequencies (GHz), Bandwidth (Mhz) spectrums. Make sure you memorized these.

I took the test today. There were new sims, but overall 95% of the questions were from this dump.

Wrote my exam last week but barely passed. got 7xx got 9 sims some are the ones that were mentioned here and new ones, and a few questions from this exam...honestly even though i passed i wouldnt quite recommend this exam, dont depend on it alone do proper research, read ppls comments ...do the pappu one aswell nd yeah know ur sh** b4 tackling it....Gud Luck to all

I Failed the exam last month, i have to say it was my fault i was just not ready yet and i have 2 say by far its the toughest exam i have came across since: A+, win8, MCSA, MCSE and ITIL. In regards to this dump its good material - ignore the rest. I also downloaded an exam cram N+ book, just to get familiar with with the changes and planing to write again next week. Thanks to every1 who is keep updating their status good luck to every1.

This dump are still valid. passed on Dec 4,2013. only 4 new questions... all sims were from this dump...

Hey guys I just took the test today and barely pass. 3 sims from this dump were still on the test: the one with the cable certifier, the one with the 3 APs and the one with the 3 switches and out of the 80 multi choice questions I got about 10 from this dump so it's not completely useless to study this but a new dump is needed

Hi guys wrote today passed, sims confusing. Study hard guys it is confusing there way they set up the exams. Configure workstations sims came out, configure wireless AP router, switch, AP and Hubs wich one has more collision and broadcast need to know that. Few questions from these dumps but it helps to study them they give you an idea how to deal with these questions Good luck!!!

passed today with a score of 783 i can definately confirm that the exam has changed! new sims, new questions. but thanks to anon for his dump it is a brilliant dump, very helpfull.

Hi All, Does anyone know the Sims/Labs answers and how can I practice them? thank you all.

I just took it today and i passed, the sims are pretty much valid, but for me, i had 2 additional sims. And the questions that came out are only about 40-50%

846 from this dump 11-22 still valid. Study your DHCP theory. there was one question that asked if a client was on a 14 day lease from a dhcp server at what point would it ask to keep the lease. Sim on configuring two IDFS ( patch panels, switch, client.) the fiber uplink got me. know your fiber types. sx fx etc

I took the test yesterday and passed with a 793. This dump is still partially valid but I believe that they have changed the test up a little bit. I would say about 50/50 new questions. There were 2 new simulations in addition to the ones already mentioned. My advice is to study this VCE along with a Net + exam book and Net + videos on youtube and you will pass.

The 2 new sims were:

1. You had to figure out the IP configurations for computers P1, P2, P3, P4. You had to go in each computer's command prompt and type in ipconfig to view the addresses and make sure that they matched up. I believe the subnet mask was wrong on two of them and you had to change them.
2. It dealt with matching the correct cables (single-mode fiber, Cat 5, Cat 6) to the devices in a switch configuration

Hi pal ..., thank you all for your help ...PASSED TODAY.....i think the questions are changing gradually ......i figure ...about 70% of the questions are from the two leading dumps.
The simulation are Valid too, but i got too more easy simulations.

Guys, on the Network + test, there was a a simulation question about setting up 6 or 7 different wireless antennas in 2 different buildings. They give you the omnidirectional etc, does anyone know the answer to that one?

Dump still valid. Passed today with 850. Saw maybe 5 new questions, make sure you look over the sims.

I passed on 11/20 w/ 846. Had 8 sims, 3 from this dump and some that no one mentioned before. 80 questions total, about 75% from this dump. Thanks AnonTester.

I took the exam today and passed (851). This dump covered a little more than 60% of the questions. The labs were spot on i.e. there was the switching loop scenario, the cable crimp scenario (know your 568B color scheme), there were switches and a server and you had to pick the correct connecting cables between each piece of gear. Know your ports because there were at least five or six questions about ports. Take your exam quick before they change the rest of the questions or wait for the next dump. Good luck all!

The dump is about 45-50% valid. There were 5 new simulations and 2 from this dump. I was shocked!! Anyway i passed with more than 800. Thanks Anon and others.

I took the exam last week and I think only 30% of the dump at the most was on the exam which shocked me. I had been reading even that morning that the dump was still valid which it may be for some places, but not for my particular exam. I wonder if there is a new exam out. I was still able to pass but I am telling you... this dump was not valid for me.

Beware! .. Just because you see a post saying that the dump is valid doesn't mean a thing! ....Just finished the test earlier today in Las Vegas,NV (PearsonVue) and there were only about 10-20 questions from this dump on it! I knew enough to still pass the test based on my understanding of "concepts" and from watching professor messer free videos....

The first 7 or 8 questions were Sims and I truly believe that the remainder of the test questions are solely based upon whether you get the Sims right, wrong, flag them or skip them...I saw some of the Sims mentioned in this dump, but there was one Sim where you actually had to enter commands to configure the switch...

I am preparing for my Security+ exam ... Going to prepare by using Comptia Study questions - just to be on the safe side...Just Sayin'...

Do not use this dump if you need word for word. I did see some questions from it that were word for word but a majority of the questions were re worded in a way you that you will need to understand why and what your answering. You can use this dump to pass but make sure you understand all of it. I barely passed with a 730 in baton rouge louisiana

I am not sure if I just didnt remember the questions properly, but there were not very many of these questions on the test. They helped, but there were quite a few questions that I have not seen here probably 50 + Percent. I was still able to pass tho.

Had 80 question exam, only 8 of these questions were on there.. passed with a 744.. there were 7 sims at the front of my exam... none of the them were the sims from the dump... exam may have changed.... not sure...

I took the exam last week in the DC area and found that perhaps only 30% of the questions from the dump were on the exam. I was shocked because I was reading that the dump was still valid and I thought I would blow through it. As I was going through the exam I was like, "That was not on the dump. Nor that one. Uh oh." I was really wondering if I was going to pass as one question after another was new. I did pass however with an 803 for which I was very grateful. Basically for the new questions I eliminated the choices that I was fairly certain were wrong and then made my best guess. I am wondering if there is a new exam out. By the way about an hour before I left to take the exam, I came back to this site for anything last minute, and saw that BG wrote to know the pin-outs for TI 568 B. I am so glad I did. That was definitely on the exam and I am sure I got that right.

I took this exam and failed yesterday. Got 700. I am planning on taking it again on Friday. Are they going to ask the same simulations? If someone has been in the same situation, please let me know. This dump is very helpful, I wished I read the comments about the sims before my first try. I think that's what failed me. The first 4 questions were the exact sims.

I took the test today, this have 8 simulations and many new questions, only the dump anon & papo 10-15 questions, please prepare well for new exam!!!

Passed on Fri 15th with 837. Only 3 out of the 6 sims were on this dump. Likewise, only 4 of the 80 questions were on this dump.

I've heard that there are slightly changes on the sims, can anybody who recently took the test what exactly are the changes? Please.

I took the exam November 15th. Probably only 25% of the dump questions were on my exam and half the simulations were new. I stilled passed with an 803, but I think there may be a new exam out as this dump was not very accurate. Take your time and think through the questions. Eliminate what cannot be true and then give your best guess.

Definitely still valid. Passed with a 871/900. 4 sims about the 2 buildings, crimple cable, and i can't remember the last two. Perfect thing to study here
