microsoft, special offers, certification upgrade, freebies, mcsa, mcitp, mcse, exams With Black Friday just days away, we are all thinking deals, good prices and special offers, right? It’s that time of the year! In case you missed it, Microsoft stays in trend offering a “Buy 2, Get 1 Free” deal on some exams, plus free retakes in case you need them. The deal basically covers Windows Server 2012 certification upgrades, so if you still have a Windows Server 2008 on your resume, now is the best time to upgrade it.

So what’s that “Buy 2, Get 1 Free” offer?

To be eligible, you need to be currently holding one of the following certifications:

  • MCSA: Windows Server 2008
  • MCITP: Virtualization Administrator
  • MCITP: Enterprise Messaging Administrator
  • MCITP: Lync Server Administrator
  • MCITP: SharePoint Administrator
  • MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Administrator

When you choose to upgrade and follow one of these paths…

  • MCSE: Server Infrastructure — 417, 413, 414
  • MCSE: Desktop Infrastructure — 417, 415, 416
  • MCSE: Private Cloud — 417, 246, 247

…you get three exams for the price of two. You are also granted one free retake on each exam in the pack if you fail.

To take advantage of this offer, you need to purchase the upgrade (go to Prometric website) by May 31, 2014, and finish your exams (including free retakes) within 2014.
