Autumn Harvest: Two New HPE Certifications
How long we didn’t cover any news from the IT company HPE…But it’s high time to change this situation, especially, when we have a good reason. Recently, HPE released TWO new certifications! Let us introduce you the HPE ATP – Data Center Solutions V1 and Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP) V1 certs! They have already become quite popular among IT specialist. But first things first.
HPE ATP – Data Center Solutions V1
What does this HPE certification validate? – It certifies that you can identify, describe, configure and manage core HPE data center solutions including HPE ProLiant Gen10, 3Par, Nimble and OneView infrastructure management. This cert also validates that you are able to describe the HPE data center strategy, and design HPE server, storage and networking solutions that are ideal for small to medium-sized business (SMB) enterprises
Why should you earn it? – You should attain the HPE ATP – Data Center Solutions V1 cert, if you want to fill the gaps in your skills, test your knowledge of HPE data center solutions spanning servers, networks and storage or advance your career as a certified professional.
Who is the typical candidate? – IT professionals who plan, design or manage data centers.
Which steps should you take to earn this certification? – There are 3 main steps:
Step 1 – Register for this certification in The Learning Center
Step 2 – Complete recommended training: 01114481: Designing HPE SMB Data Center Architectures, Rev. 17.41 & 01098484: Building HPE Data Center Solutions, Rev. 17.41
Step 3 – Pass the related exam: HPE0-S51: Building HPE Data Center Solutions
The HPE0-S51 exam has 60 questions (multiple choice, matching, drag-and-drop) and 90 minutes to complete them. The ideal candidate for this test should have a minimum of 12 months’ hands-on experience in the core HPE areas (Server, Storage, Networking) and 6 months’ hands-on experience in other HPE SMB solutions and technologies.
Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP) V1
What does this HPE certification validate? – It certifies that you can implement and manage Aruba campus switching solutions at the enterprise level. This cert also validates that you are able to implement ArubaOS switches, including access provision and redundancy technologies, configure dynamic routing using Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) and the Edge Gateway Protocol (BGP), protect the network using Access Control Lists (ACLs) and other security measures.
Why should you earn it? – You should attain the Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP) V1 cert, if you want to successfully implement enterprise grade Aruba campus switching solutions and advance your career as a certified professional.
Who is the typical candidate? – Networking IT professionals with a minimum of 1 years’ experience deploying enterprise level network solutions.
Which steps should you take to earn this certification? – There are 5 main steps:
Step 1 – You should be qualified for an upgrade path: Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP) V1- upgrade from HP ASE – FlexNetwork Architect V2 and HP ASE – FlexNetwork Integrator V1 & Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP) V1- upgrade from Cisco, Juniper or Brocade
Step 2 – Register for this certification in The Learning Center
Step 3 – You must have Aruba Certified Switching Associate (ACSA) V1
Step 4 – Complete recommended training: 01095999: Implementing Aruba Campus Switching Solutions, Rev. 17.41
Step 5 – Pass the related exam: HPE6-A45: Implementing Aruba Campus Switching Solutions
The HPE6-A45 exam consists of 60 questions and lasts 90 minutes. The ideal candidate for this test should have a minimum of 4 to 5 years of general networking experience and 2 years of experience focused on interpreting network architectures and customer requirements to install and configure Aruba solutions.
