EMC: New Exams Coming in January: E2O -597, E20-377, E20-375
While most of us are deciding on where to party for the New Years’ EMC is busy overhauling its certification program. The company is updating a number of its EMC Proven Professional certifications.
On January 9, 2015, EMC will introduce 3 new certification exams: E2O -597, E20-377, E20-375. Two of these exams are specific to EMC²’s RecoverPoint, a data protection program, while the third is tied to a different data security suite, EMC²’s NetWorker. All exams have been designed in order to make sure that EMC certified professionals keep up with the latest trends on data technologies, data recovery, storage and networking solutions. E2O -597 Exam: NetWorker Specialist Exam for Storage Administrators
This exam is a qualifying exam for the Storage Administrators –NetWorker Specialist track.
This exam tests candidates’ knowledge of concepts and terminology, and the capabilities of successfully administering solutions using EMC NetWorker. As a successful candidate, you will need to demonstrate the knowledge required to administer, configure, monitor and maintain EMC NetWorker backup solutions. The EMC E2O -597 Exam will contain 60 questions and lasts 90 minutes.
E20-377 RecoverPoint/SE Specialist Exam for Implementation Engineers
The EMC E20-377 exam is a qualifying exam for the EMC Implementation Engineer RecoverPoint/SE Specialist track. It targets the area of deployment of RecoverPoint/SE systems, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting and management of physical and virtual RecoverPoint Appliances and Splitter.
Containing 60 questions and taking the maximum of 90 minutes to complete, the EMC E20-377 exam focuses on deployment of RecoverPoint/SE systems, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting and management of physical and virtual RecoverPoint Appliances and Splitter. Other topics include RecoverPoint/SE architecture, theory of operations, splitting technologies; site planning and configuration requirements; configuration and operations of consistency groups as well as configuration for integration with different virtualization software.
E20-375 RecoverPoint Specialist Exam for Implementation Engineers
EMC exam E20-375 tests the skills in deployment of RecoverPoint systems, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting and management of physical and virtual RecoverPoint Appliances and Splitter. Like the 2 exams above, it contains 60 questions which candidates need to complete within 90 minutes.
As a qualifying exam for the EMC Implementation Engineer RecoverPoint Specialist track, the E20-375 focuses on deployment of RecoverPoint systems, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting and management of physical and virtual RecoverPoint Appliances and Splitter.
It also covers RecoverPoint architecture, theory of operations, and write splitting technologies; site planning and configuration requirements; configuration and operations of consistency groups as well as configuration for integration with different virtualization software.
