Cisco CCNP Wireless Certification Gets Restructured

Starting from now on and up to September 21, 2016 candidates will be able to take both existing and new exams. After September 22, 2016 old exams still will be credited towards CCNP certification, while only new exams will be available for passing.

Overall CCNP Wireless certification evaluates candidates’ skills in design, deployment and security of Cisco Wireless networks for the optimal outputs. As a prerequisite CCNP Wireless certification requires candidates to hold active Cisco CCNA Wireless certification or any of Cisco CCIE certifications.

New CCNP exams are given in English and are written based. Each exam is 90 minutes long containing 60-70 queries. The exams are administrated in Pearson VUE testing centres and can be scheduled and paid on their official webpage Pearson VUE website.

Each of four CCNP Wireless Certification exams evaluates candidates’ skills in the particular domains with more in-depth information regarding exams’ composition and recommended training available on each exam page:

Designing Cisco Wireless Enterprise Networks 300-360 WIDESIGN

Assesses candidates’s skills in recognizing customer needs and application demands, their ability to apply predictive wireless design rules and conduct site surveys required to construct and optimize company wireless networks.

Deploying Cisco Wireless Enterprise Networks 300-365 WIDEPLOY

Evaluates candidates’ ability to implement wireless networks using Cisco controller and Unified switching architectures supporting high availability, QoS, multicast, and mobility services.

Troubleshooting Cisco Wireless Enterprise Networks 300-370 WITSHOOT

Examines applicants’ ability to troubleshoot and optimize company’s wireless infrastructure and corresponding services, as well as the tools and methods required to recognize and solve customer connectivity, performance, and RF problems.

Securing Wireless Enterprise Networks 300-375 WISECURE

Evaluates candidates’ skills to resolve client device security issues, acknowledge based authentication and services, together with securing and management of company wireless infrastructure.
