Perhaps, you have repeatedly asked: Why do companies constantly update their exams? And today we lay all the cards on the table.

It’s not a secret, nothing changes so fast as the market and technology. It means that as a professional, you should always be up-to-date, informed, knowledgeable about what is new and what is changing.

Keeping your certifications and exams up-to-date is important because it proves that you still know what you are talking about and are current in the market. It means that you know how to upgrade, fix, deploy, and manage whatever changes have come along.

EMC is interested in professionals who keep up with the times. So it periodically updates its certifications and exams. Here and this time the company decided to make changes to its education program.

Tomorrow, on April 28, 2017, the E20-597 exam supporting the Storage Administrator NetWorker Specialist level certification will be updated.

This exam is a qualifying exam for the Storage Administrators – NetWorker Specialist track. This certification claims an individual’s knowledge of Dell EMC NetWorker and common backup and recovery concepts.

The E20-597 exam tests the candidate’s knowledge required to administer, configure, monitor and maintain Dell EMC NetWorker backup solutions.

What will the update include?

This update will include:

  1. features and functionalities introduced with NetWorker 9.1
  2. expansion of topics related to:
  • using NetWorker to back up to the cloud
  • deploying NetWorker in a public cloud environment

How will this update impact you?

You have taken the NetWorker Specialist course before April 17, 2017; now you plan to take the E20-597 exam —> take the exam prior to April 28, 2017.

This course taken before April 17, 2017, will not support the updated exam as of April 28, 2017.

And as the proverb says: A rolling stone gathers no moss. So never stand still and don’t miss the opportunity to improve your knowledge.
