1. Introducing Exam Objectives and Format

Welcome again. In this lecture I will introduce exam objectives and exam format. On the exam you are expected to perform different system administration tasks using NCBL. So as a prerequisite you must know all the objectives of Rscsa Exam and you must know different commands you used to pass Rscsa Exam certification. Knowledge of Rscsa Exam objectives is needed and would be very helpful throughout this course. Next on the exam you will be working with multiple systems or multiple VMs and you will be asked to install and configure ansible control node on one of the VMs and then use this to perform different tasks or remote machines called Managed Host. Exam is based on Red Hat enterprise linux Eight and ansible Engine two eight. For more details we will visit Red Hat website on this URL. On opening this link on the browser, you will land on this page.

Here you can find all the details about Reddit certified engineer exam. On the overview tab you can find exam description audience for this exam prerequisites for this exam. Just go through this on the next tab. Objectives you can find all the objectives of RSA Exam. So here you can see be able to perform all tasks expected of Reddit Certified System Administrator. So this means you must be able to perform all the tasks as expected of Red Dead Certified System administration. This is prerequisite for this exam and this is very important to make sure you must know all the objectives. Next step, what you need to know. So here you can find details how you can prepare for this exam format which I already explained a bit. I would suggest to go through this. And finally information of scores reporting. This is all about this lecture. In next lecture I will introduce Anise Bull.

2. Introducing Ansible

Hello, welcome to this lecture. In this lecture, I will introduce ansible what is ensible? Ansible is an open source It automation tool developed to configure multiple systems, deploy software and orchestrate more advanced It tasks such as continuous deployments or zero downtime rolling updates. Ansible is an open source. It means Ansible is available to public in open. An even can use Ansible and can modify Ansible software according to their requirements. Ansible can be used to manage multiple Linux based systems as well as Windows based systems. However, in this course we’ll focus only on Linux based systems or in particular Red Hat Enterprise Linux based system which is objective of this course. Using an, sybil will manage multiple remote Red Hat Enterprise Linux based systems and will perform system administration tasks on them. Ansible is written in Python.

Ansible modules can be written in Python Pearl and in some other languages. We’ll discuss more on Ansible modules as we go along the course. You can think of Ansible module as a small program designed to perform specific actions, for example starting, stopping or enabling service. Main goal of Ansible is simplicity and ease of use. Ansible playbooks are written in YAML, which is Markup language. Yet another Markup language which is humor, readable and can be understood by anyone. Note much familiar with language, so this makes Ansible easy to use. We’ll discuss more on Ansible playbooks later on. In this course you can think of ansible playbook is similar to a script we create for some repeated action.

Ansible uses open SSH as transport and it is very secure reliable. So to use Ansible we must connect ansible control node using SSH to the remote host which we want to manage using Ansible. We’ll discuss more on this in the next section. On setting up lab environment. Due to simplicity, ansible can be used by a wide variety of departments to manage small setup of instances to thousands of instances. Because Ansible is easy to use, so Ansible can be used by many people like software developer, managers, system administrators and many more people.

Ansible manages machines in a gentleness manner. What does it mean? So it means Ansible does not install any software on the remote machines which we want to manage using Ansible. So, to perform different tasks or remote machines, ansible modules are transferred to remote machines to do the actions and they return JSON output on Ansible control node. No program is installed on remote machines. Ansible does not use any resources or remote machine when doing nothing. Here is ansible inaction diagram. This diagram describes how Ansible is connected to the remote nodes which we want to manage using Ansible. Having already said, ansible control node is connected to remote nodes using OpenSSH transport which is secure, reliable. So in this diagram we can and number of remote nodes are connected to Ansible control node, also called Ansible managed nodes. We’ll discuss more on this in the next section. On setting up lab environment.

3. Important: RHCE Exam Version Update

Hello, welcome to this lecture. In this lecture I have important announcement to make about RSE exam version update exam version has been updated by Red Hat in August 2021 to rel eight three and ansible automation platform one two. Earlier exam version was ansible engine two eight on the top of rail eight. Now they changed Rail version to eight three. They also mentioned minor version and here, instead of mentioning ansible engine version, they mentioned ansible automation platform version as one dot two. Now, what is this ansible automation platform? Ansible automation platform is a solution built by Red Hat to orchestrate different operations in developed environments.

This is mainly built for organizational uses. Ansible automation platform comprises different components mainly ansible tower, ansible automation hub and most important ansible engine in the core. Ansible automation platform version one two uses ansible engine two nine. So from Exam point of view, you must keep in mind ansible version for the updated exam is two dot nine instead of two dot eight. But still, exam on ansible engine two dot eight is possible. There are two different individual exams which are possible. Exam with code ex two nine, four V, eight K, which is based on Ancient Engine version two eight on the top of Relate, which is original exam. And this course is recorded on this version and exam with code. Ex. 294 v. 83k, which is updated version exam which is based on an Sibel automation platform one two on the top of rel eight.

Three. Now you can choose to take exam on any version to earn RSCE certificate. There is no change in exam objectives till now. So if you practice all objectives on ansible engine two nine you should be good to go for exam on updated version you really don’t need to install ansieval automation platform one two to practice all the tasks. You can simply install ansieval engine two nine on rel eight three machine and practice all the tasks. However, I am busy to update this course to meet requirements of updated RSE. But honestly I don’t expect many changes at least from Exam point of view. This is all about this lecture.
