Thank you Malik and Anderson. I have completed this exam and it is still 100% valid. Though there are additional questions. The D&D are good.
I passed and i am very happy. Thanks again Malik and Anderson. Good Luck to everyone.
My advs to people new to this forum, please do read every thread before posting.
Many thanks again.
Ok just curious. What is all that DnD corrected.txt talk about and where would I find the file? Anyone?
are the multiple choices question in 642-873 ARCH same in CCDA as well? ALL A,B,C,D only? what reviewer did you use guys?
can somebody explainme what does the new drag and drop is about?
i mean OER drag and drop is about definition or about order of the phases?? and what about SAN???
can anybody give us info regarding the dump and new drag and drop which is SAN and right order of OER Phrases and also the right order of below DND.
solate vlan
isolate port
community port
promiscuous port
please help me my exam will be next week.
Can anybody share it 's exam experience give new information regarding new drag and drop which is about SAN and also about the right order of OER Phrases.
Shouldn't the answer to this question be (E) and not (F) as shown below? :
142. When is a first-hop redundancy protocol needed in the distribution layer?
A. when HSRP is not supported by the design
B. when multiple vendor devices need to be supported
C. when preempt tuning of the default gateway is needed
D. when a robust method of backing up the default gateway is needed
E. when the design implements Layer 2 between the access switch and the distribution switch
F. when the design implements Layer 3 between the access switch and the distribution switch
Answer: F
if the design uses Layer 3 at the access layer, then shouldn't that be the default gateway, making answer (F) incorrect?
.
I've got 936/1000 New Drag and Drop is talkin about SAN
Some questions are not in the same order becareful
Around 6 Drag & Drops
1-Learn Apply Optimize Verify (OER Phrases) the phrases to match are not available in the VCE please try to find it
2-Cisco NAC appliance Agent , Trust Agent
3-CISCO NAM , NAA and etc.
4-New SAN D&D
I have used Malik dump please avoid the latest 5 drag and drops as they are incorrect from 209 - 214
Thanks a lot
cafe_blues, thanks for the insight. I have a feeling that some of the questions on Malik maybe be leftovers from the 642-871 exam, because some seem a bit older to me.
Okay, well I will get through the student guides and look at IPv6 corrections to the D&D here, if sufficient and just go for it. This exam has been on and off already too many times for me. Very interesting stuff but not as fun to study as the more hands on material. Thanks.
Well, whats funny is that the questions that I mentioned here, that had to be corrected, did not come up :)
So based on the D&D posted by the others and Q's in Malik's dump, you'll certainly pass this exam.
The exam was composed of 3 categories. I think it was security, core design and advance enterprise core design. I got 96% on the advanced core. The rest was 100%
Yes, I believe it's safe and on target. I used the authorized self-study guide 2nd Ed. by Hutton, Schofield and Teare.
Good luck to you too.
cafe_blues, Congrats. So, was it safe to assume that the answers as depicted in Malik were pretty much on target based on your score, or did you change them as noted?
Did you use the student guides or the exam cert guide?
I am trying to get through the student guides. Need to get this exam done to renew certs and get DP along the way. The clock is ticking though. :-)
Finished with 987 pts. Most of the questions I got came from exam "C" of this dump though. Plus the D&D about PVLAN ports, more of a definition of the ff as exactly written in the book:
Isolated VLAN
Community VLAN
Promiscuous port
Isolated Port.
cafe_blues, thanks for the insight. I have been putting this exam on again off again because of work , etc. I realy need to knock this one out but keep getting put off by all the conflicting info regarding correct D&D answers and some of the questions that you referenced.
Please let us know how you make out next week. I am still making my way through the student guides but would like to do this by the end of next month if possible. Good luck!
Noticed some text that probably need to be corrected based on the CCDP
self study guide, 2nd Ed.
Which two statements about Network Attached Storage are correct?
A. Data is accessed using NFS or CIFS
B. Data is accessed at the block level
C. NAS is referred to as captive storage
D. Storage devices can be shared between users
E. A NAS implementation is not as fast as a DAS implementation
Answer should be A and D found on Chapter 6 "SAN Design consideration"
Page 246.
----
You are the Cisco Network Designer in Cisco.com, Which of these are
important when determining how manysers a NAS can support?
A. Bandwidth
B. Number of plug-ins per scan
C. Total number of network devices
D. Number of checks in each posture assessment
From the book again, answers should be A, B and D. Based on Chapter 8
"Security Services Design" Page 352
I just could't figure out the question about subnetting/addressing from my recent post. Hope someone can shed some light before I try for the exam next week.
This dump is valid in malaysia, passed with 988/1000, cheers
Z-90,
Congrats! Aside from the obvious errors with the D&D on Malik, are all the answers in the text based questions correct, or do they need to be researched. Any clue roughly the topicsw of the new D&D? I assume you probably got them mostly correct based on your score, yes? Thanks
Guys ,
it is still valid , but there were 2 new DnD , honestly i don't remember them, and got 987. thank god
Thanks for u all :)
Can some show me how the computation was done to get the answer "B" ?
Acme Nutrition manufactures a wide variety of vitamin supplements. It has a single manufacturing facility with 3 regional warehouses and 16 district sales offices. Currently the manufacturing facility requires 210 IP addresses; each warehou requires 51 IP addresses; each distric sales office requires 11 IP addresses; and the IP WAN requires 38 IP addresses.
If Acme Nutrition plans for 20 percent growth in facilities, how many class C subnets will the district sales offices require ? (every link to this question says B. Why ?)
A 19 (3 from warehous range and 16 from a separate class C address)
B. 19 (3 from the warehouse block, 15 from a separeate Class C block and 1 from the IP WAN block)
C. 20 (4 from the warehous erange, 15 from a separate Class C block and 1 from the IP WAN block)
D. 16 (3 from the warehouse range and 13 froma separate Class C address)
aftershow, that is correct regarding version 2.0 and 2.1..
Z-90, when are you gonna take this exam? Pls tell us if vce is still valid. Thanks!
Just to be sure, ARCH 2.0 is 642-873 and 2.1 is 642-874?
passed today 987/1000
all question from this dump.
D&D were from ipv6 post below
one new D&D for me about
isolate vlan
isolate port
community port
promiscuous port
thanks all you guys.
thank friend jack ipv6 this dump is valid today korea exampped 968 passed
every one passed regard plzzzzz
Passed today with 987 /1000.
Thanks to Jack and IPv6 for my last minute study. You give me the correct answers for the Drag n Drop because TI has different answer.
I think I missed the drag n drop with this choices, Verify, Apply, Analyze and Learn.
I doubt on my answer between Analyze and Learn. All other question is from TI but the drag n drop in TI has wrong answer. Here's the correct answer based on CCDP Quick Reference Guide and I used this one on my exam. 6 Dnd came out with number 6 on the above.

Sorry, if this has been answered before but are the D&D listed in Malik correct? There "seems" to be a little contradictory statements?
Also, is there any comprehensive listing of all the D&D, including the latest with the correct answers, anywhere?
Thanks.
P.S. Has anyone taken the new version yet?
Just passed the exam with 961/1000 in Switzerland. This dump is still valid.
Does 642-873 use new exam after 24 Dec or It delayed to May 2011
Can anyone update pls

Thank in advance
Just did the exam in London. All the DDs are listed in the blog. All material are from this vce.. Merry Xmas all!
I did my exam on the 20th of december 2010. This dump is still valid. I think that about 70% of the question of the real exam are in this dump. Good luck
i will be giving the test in a week , any idea will this dumps be available after that version 2.1 is out? i think the version 2.1 has another exam code rite?
Thanks to Tom and whoever contributed on the posts.

Passed Today! ~Thanks all support.
valid on 1st Dec 2010
I just passed this exam today. The dump is still valid, but I got 1 new DnD question about VLAN port (promisciuous port, isolated port, etc. there're 4 option. i can't remember correctly). so I got 987 :)
how many Q's on test? sims or labs?
Thanks richy?
forgot to thank you Malik, thanks m8 !!!
valid, passed today, they did change the order of the answers on some questions, I only noticed after pressing 2 incorrect :) still passed with good score
gl all

NEW: CCDP has been updated. The ARCH v.2.1 course is expected to be available November 24, 2010 through Cisco Learning Partners and a new ARCH exam (642-874) is expected to be available December 23, 2010.
is this dump still valid? bcoz i'm planning to get the exam on Nov 26 2010.but there's update from cisco that says version 2.1.
Any new version available?
Thx.
@helly
I did on day before exam changed to ver 2.1.
I think it should still be valid if you do it now.
wryruru passed ver 2.1 by using this dump. So you shouldn't have trouble too.
Passed today (10.11.2010). I don't know was it 2.1 or not, but TI was 99% valid except one new D&D question.
So, good luck, guys.
hi all,
Lab Warrior what's date that you take this exam?
if I want to test this exam on Dec 10 ,I must wait new version?

lab warrior you passed ver2.1?
Nailed it today
Now CCDP at last.
I had 6 D n D. first 5 were given by Jack already but 6th one was:
*******************
Metro Ethernet D&D (Note, these are not the actual options but they have the right answers):
EPL (Ethernet Private Line) - A port-based point-to-point E-Line service that maps Layer 2 traffic directly onto a TDM circuit
EWS (Ethernet Wire Service) - A point-to-point port-based E-Line service that is used primarily to connect geographically remote LANs over an SP network.
ERS (Ethernet Relay Service) - A point-to-point VLAN-based E-Line service, that is used primarily for establishing a point-point connection between customer routers.
EMS (Ethernet Multipoint Service) - used for transparent LAN applications
ERMS (E. Relay Multipoint Service)-used primarily for establishing a multipoint-to-multipoint connection between customer routers.
*******************
Exam wasn't hard but It was good one to have in portfolio.
Anyone has information about ver 2.1 ?
Thx Jack. Passed today with 948. 5 D&D .100% still valid in US, D&D were all good. Practice D&D listed here. Used Arch book, this vce and TI v5.27 exclusively.
It will remain!
Well, I will be giving test on Sunday 7-Nov.
I hope it should remain ver 2.0 exam. I know new one is effective from 8-Nov. I couldn't book exam before 7-Nov bcuz no seats were avilable where I am taking exam.
YES. I passed.
I had only these 5 dnd`s. 989 points.

Most if not all of the drag n drops are incorrect in this vce, thus posting the correct and the appropriate ones here!!! I hope it'll help those guys who are preparing to take the exam before the 7th of Nov 2010!!
@ peter & bali
I suggest you do all of these drag n drops, as you will encounter approx. 6 of them in the exam.. good luck n cheers!!
@IPv6
just confirm the DnD which are currently comes in paper?
Are these are Malik' D paper?
@IPv6: that is what i also think. i think the problem occured only because in the testinside engine they mixed up the roman number with the regular number. if yo switch the type of number you get the same answer as in part D of MALIK. hope they are correct. Are the other d&d you posted still in the exam or just the once from part D? @IPv6

signals the network that it will require QoS
-Hard QoS has similar characteristics
-RSVP is used

@IPv6
Thanks dude.
Will someone be uploading the vce's then? :)
@ Peter
I believe Part D is correct!!
headed vpn devices = vpn headed termination devices.
ipsec tunnels = vpn interconnections for headed
VPN access devices = VPN branch end terminator devices at branch office
Internet services from ISPs = WAN interconnection media
@ ruane
This exam wont be valid after the 8th. You will have to study from updated v2.1 outline!!
@ Peter,
Will this test be valid I if study it and write it after the 8th of november?
There is something wrong with this vce.
PART D and E have common d&ds and different answers..
Part D
headed vpn devices = vpn headed termination devices.
ipsec tunnels = vpn interconnections for headed
VPN access devices = VPN branch end terminator devices at branch office
Internet services from ISPs = WAN interconnection media
Part E
Internet services from ISPs = vpn headed termination devices.
ipsec tunnels = vpn interconnections for headed
headed vpn devices = VPN branch end terminator devices at branch office
VPN access devices = WAN interconnection media
and there are also some other questions where it is also different.
What is correct?
Part E or D of MALIK?
Is this dump still valid? Who knows more about the new d&d? Who passed last?
does anybody know more about the missing d&d? please inform. will take test on friday!
@helly
their will changes ( maybe minor or major, it depend on cisco )

Hoy Pippy,
CCDP Prerequisites
Valid CCNA and CCDA or any CCIE Certification can act as a pre-requisite.
------------------------------------
That statement above says Valid CCNA and CCDA . I think it will be another meaning if Valid CCNA or CCDA .
Anyone here who got CCDP what was your track to get CCDP?
Hi All,
Passed 642-873 on 6th Oct 2010.
Used the following:
1. Cisco.TestInside.642-873.v2010-08-13.by.MALIK.209q.vce
2. Cisco.selftestengine.642-873.v2010-08-03.by.Taylor.219q.vce
All 65 questions from the above.
Thanks ExamCollection and MALIK!
Good Luck!
Great Dump! It is still valid. Passed today with 967
@PREM and @BAMMY
You DO NOT need to pass CCDA to get CCDP. Although this is strange to me it is what Cisco's site is saying. See below:
CCDP Prerequisites
Valid CCNA and CCDA or any CCIE Certification can act as a pre-requisite.

HI BAMMY. U MUST CLEAR CCDA FIRST AND THEN 642-873 ARCH.
I need to take this exam next week. Please let me know if this dump is VALID?. Please tell me any simulation is there in the exam and new questions and totally how many questions.
Hi all,
Can someone help to clarify this please? I have already passed composite exam and I would like to write this exam to complete the CCDP certification. Having checked the cisco site I discovered they specifically mentioned ROUTE and SWITCH as part of the requirements. Do I still have to write these exams after passing composite OR I should just go ahead and do this one (ARCH)? I used to see composite there before. Thanks for your anticipated help.
Passed today with 974, no new questions. All questions are from this dump!
Thanks people who contribute this.

Can anyone tell me whether this dump is still valid for CCDP.Please share your exam experience is if anyone passed this exam after Sep 8,2010
To Ehsan,
Yes your certification on BSCI and BCMSN are still valid. No need to give Route and Switch again. Remember one thing, whenever you have pass any cisco exam then it is valid for the next 36 months(i.e Three years) from the date of your exam passing.
So dont late to complete your CCDP.
