This file’s questions are not the latest and results me failed my exam at the first attempt! My friends used the Braindump2go’s 2014 Exam 1Y0-A16 Dump and he passed his exam with a satisfying grade! I am now using that dump, my god, contains so many questions! Passing an exam is not so easy, I think I need 1 month to prepare for my this exam! GOOD LUCK for me and you guys!
This dumps is not valid anymore, just used testking questions and passed my exam.
Thanks.
70% wow so when you say you used this dump. do you mean as is or the updates posted in this comment section as well??
Used this dump and got 70%
The standard questions are correct. The decision tree have some errors. But if you had been doing their solutions and with some sense should see be able to pass.
All the best!
Used this dump, passed with 70%. the standard questions are correct, the decision trees are different, but if you have been designing their solutions and with some sense should be able to get it. All the best!
hi all,
i got some real question can any one answer ??
1) several applications accessed by the finance and hr departments of healthy helping hands require application access to be as secure as possible.one of there applications is the positively people applications.
how can an architect meet the company requirements for secure access to the positevelypeople application?
ANSWERS:
A)STREAM APPLICATION TO XENAPP SERVER AND PUBLISH THE APLICATION TO USERS.
B)STREAM THE APPLICATION TO THE XENAPP SEVER AND DIRECTLY TO THE CLIENT DEVICE AND PUBLISH THE APPLICATION TO USERS.
C)INSTALL THE APPLICATION LOCALLY ON EACH XENAPP SERVER AND PUBLISH THE APPLICATION AS A HOSTED APPLICATION.
D)INSTALL THE APPLICATION LOCALLY ON A VIRTUAL MACHINE AND PUBLISH THE APPLICATION AS A VM HOSTED APPLICATION.
not valid... many answers are wrong
Is this vce still valid?
Passed with 62% yesterday, I think this dump covered 70 questions. Thanks all!
Passed with 62%, I think this dump is 70% covered. Thanks goforccia!
New questions in tree referencing XenServer Hosts and bottlenecks.
Hi, If anyone has any updates or assistance they can offer it would be greatly appreciated. I used a paid dump as well as this, but many conflicting answers and the newer trees had me second guessing a lot. Scored 54. Missed by 1% !!
I used a paid one also, along with this. There are many conflicting answers which made me second guess a lot. plus new decision trees. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Scored 54. Missed by 1 percent!
Used goforccia with corrections

Read this dump and also a paid one, many questions came but didn't get the pass score. Think I messed up with decision tree ones
didnt clear the exam... plz upload new questions
Wrote referring this, failed. Pretty sure can take it down in next try!
Jaison from United Kingdom
did you get the new Question?!
questions from dump were there, but new questions too, failed yesterday
Passed this exam a week or so back using this dump
It seems to be on the mark at about 50% of the questions.
I also used XD - Enterprise Design_1105.pdf as well as experience working with PVS, Access Gateway and so forth.
With the explanations on this dump it assisted even with questions not covered by the dump. Very pleased. Thanks
Scored 77%
Hi Kingston,
Can you send me the images? Im be able to help..Many thanks.

diaeagle@hotmail.com
Passed today with 75% :-)
Dump is valid and perfect for exam-preparation! Thank you all guys!
Kingston,
Can you send me these images? I will answer it for you.
Thanks.
z1-elektronik@web.de
can any one answer ,i have images of real exam...i faild 2 times and took the images , if any one can answer will email them
failed for 2nd time.. many new questions
ALL YOU NEED TO PASS!
Some of the answers don't make since; for example:
Network traffic is expected to double from the manufacturing "LOCATIONS" when a new application is added early next year. How should Healthy Helping Hands add ress this requirements.
C and D does not make since at all. Most of the dumps have "B", but there is nothing in the scenario that makes Mexico stand out. Therefore "A" is the answer. You should apply a Branch Repeater to all the manufacturing LOCATIONS and not just Mexico.
I hope this helps.

This dump is only partially valid and the part that is likely to be correct will not constitute even 20% of an overall positive score. There are 2 new questions in the first part (very easy ones) and 2 new decision trees (about max amount of resource pools per XS host and another one about number of VDI images for different user groups), as well as one modified decision tree (the one about vdisk format for XA). Overall, I strongly suggest to read XD - Enterprise Design_1105.pdf , XA - Planning Guide - Virtualization Best Practices.pdf, XA - High Availability - Reference Architecture v2.pdf, XD - Modular Reference Architecture.pdf, XD - Planning Guide - XenServer_v2_2.pdf, XD - Top 10 Mistakes Identified When Doing Desktop Virtualization.pdf, XenDesktop and XenApp - Best Practices.pdf, Delivering5000DesktopswithXenDesktop4_7.15.10.pdf, Planning Guide - XenDesktop Site Capacity.pdf, Citrix Virtual Desktop Handbook (5 x).pdf, Citrix Receiver Deployment Guide v1 07.pdf, ataseries-designing-a-scalable-xendesktop-farm-notes.pdf, Access_Gateway_VPX_-_Reference_Architecture_0027.pdf, AGEE_AdminGuide.pdf as well as couple of materials about legacy technologies (secure gateway, branch repeater, wanscaler).
Make sure to focus when taking the test. If you answer the 1st of 3 questions and click "Next" instead of "Submit", you do not get a chance to answer questions 2 and 3 of that question. That is a flaw in my opinion. "Next" should NOT be an option until all 3 questions are answered. Especially after having to click "Next" for the first 20 questions in the same spot. It becomes habit
I did this twice and also accidentally selected 8 PVS farms on one question. Don't know how that happened. Would never want 8 PVS farms.
Either way, I passed with a 62 using this and the following item:
http://support.citrix.com/article/ctx121478
Failed today with 52, dump is half valid, but it's now enough. Many new questions.
seekingccia, you said you concur with yv's design for PVS:The PVS Design should be 8 servers, 2 in each DC, 4 Farms and 1 Site each Farm. That is: One farm per DC and a site for each branch/regional office hanging off that DC.
But, you can not find this answers in Question 19.
You mean to say the correct PVS farm design will appears in the true exam?
I can say this dump covers like 50% of total questions. Many new questions can be found especially in decision tree part. You can pass the exam with a low score with this dump, Citrix online course and a proper understanding of diagram.
Congrats - was this dump usefull and what did you score ?
WannabeeCCIA, I believe the wrong answer was chosen in the decision tree(Question 49), so the Q50 would not appears..
Question 50:
Why would disconnecting user session after five minutes of inactivity be the best way to secure sensitive data?
A It reduces the risk of data theft from an unsecured client device
Reason:
This is the only answer which meets the question. The question is about security. B and D are stupid answers. Answer C has nothing to do with security.
Please confirm.
Hey gorfoccia.
Q11: Your explanation sounds very sensible. I think you've got the right answer there. The keyword is "transactional" which falls in line with your explanation. Thanks.
As far as the XA farm design goes, that depends on several factors like WAN traffic, farm management requirements, etc. I don't think there's enough information provided to base a sound XA farm design on but I'd love to be corrected.
I still don't believe PIT's score for 1Y0-A16...
seekingccia, concerning Q11, I've given my explanation, how do you think about Q11?
Concerning XA and PVS farm design, we should consider these questions carefully and make a discussion.
YV. I concur with your design for PvS. One farm per DC and a site for each branch/regional office hanging off that DC.
As far as the XenApp farm design goes, I've also seen recommendations around restricting the farm to the DC. Now a days one can manage multiple farms via a single console so centralised management isn't an issue either with having multiple farms. That said, given the options on Q51, I'd agree a single farm design with 4 zones might be suitable.
What do others think of the XenApp farm design? Single farm or multiple farms?
I think the PVS Design should be 8 servers, 2 in each DC, 4 Farms and 1 Site each Farm.
input?
i'm still thinking about the xenapp Design, why not 1 farm with 4 zones?
1main db 3 sub?
I know WAN traffic is supposed to be kept to a minimum, but citrix best practice also says as few farms as possible.. tough one
PIT, 52%? It's hard to imagine how you got this score.
Yes, there are new question not included in this dump, but generally speaking, you can pass this exam by using this VCE file.
Have you seen the corrections I posted latter?
*unfortunately NOT valid
unfortunately valid, failed today with 52%, there are some new Q not included in this dump.
Continued:
Ⅱ) CPS 4.0 farm based on Windows Server 2000 can hold lots of HR users(HR user count is 100)
[Asscesment Doc]
When a new Human Resources employee joins the company, he/she is added to this group and thus gains access to the HR applications suite. In general, this group reports overall satisfaction with application access through Presentation Server. However, some users have reported printing issues as described in Section 1.4.
According to the Assessment Doc, both PositivelyPeople application and applications to support Manufacturing are not resouce-intensive.
So, the lack of physical resources on XenApp 5 Platinum Edition farm based on Windows Server 2008 will not likely occur.
Ⅲ) A single SQL Server 2005 server currently houses only the Presentation Server 4.0 data store and EdgeSight database. The backend database for the PositivelyPeople application is housed at the main data center. It is based on a clustered configuration of SQL Server 2005. Healthy Helping Hands is moving all databases to SQL Server 2008 based on robust new hardware and virtualized servers. They would like to transition the Citrix and PositivelyPeople databases to this new platform as soon as reasonably possible.
So, if the backend database for the PositivelyPeople application is upgraded to SQL Server 2008, the issue "responding slowly" should be resolved.
(4) QUESTION 64
Scenario: The architect for Healthy Helping Hands has identified that virtualizing the entire server infrastructure will provide the best return on investment (ROI) and lowest maintenance costs for the new infrastructure. In order to proceed with this recommendation, a monitoring strategy must be put in place to ensure that the virtualization platform does NOT become overloaded.
Which virtualization component should an architect monitor to identify virtual desktop bottlenecks?
Correct Answer:
A. XenServer hosts
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Concerning QUESTION 11
I think the answer is A.
[Explanation]
A. If the XenApp server is reaching maximum capacity, the lack of physical resources on the XenApp server will make application launch failed(Not "the application was responding slowly").
B. "Healthy Helping Hands has created a new pilot XenApp 5 Platinum Edition farm with applications delivered to 25 pilot users", so the OS should be Windows Server 2008(it should be based on new hardware), and 25 pilot users is in small scale.
Ⅰ) PositivelyPeople is compatible with Windows Server 2008
[Asscesment Doc]
The vendor for PositivelyPeople has tested and certified the application to run on Windows Server 2008. The vendor has also found that leveraging High Availably for XenApp applications would be beneficial.
So, Windows Server 2008 will hold the PositivelyPeople application well.
Thanks for the corrections goforccia. What are your thoughts on Q64.
I've copied from my earlier post for your reference.
Q64: Which component should an architect monitor to identify virtual desktop bottlenecks
What's your logic behind selecting Provisioning Servers? Would monitoring the XenServer hosts not give a better indication than monitoring the Provisioning Servers? I'm also looking at the keywords being "Virtualisation Platform" perhaps more suitable for the hypervisor? Since the Desktop VMs would actually run on the XS hypervisor, its monitoring would give a better indication on resource utilisation of the Virtual Desktops especially while running reource intensive apps like CAD (streamed to desktop VMs).
I'd also like to discuss Q11.
Q11: The transactional network delay report from Edgesight does show high server latency. You've suggested this might be because XA is waiting on another host to respond, most likely the server hosting the PP DB (Option A). Isn't it possible the XA server is reaching max capacity and the lack of physical resources on the XA server is causing the response delay (Option C)?
dav, did you take the exam exactly answering as in this dump, corrections and discussion?
[correction]
(1) QUESTION 39
Why should the architect separate the server and desktop components?
Correct Answer:
A. Infrastructure components are better utilized and configurable pool options are kept separately for the desktops.
(2) QUESTION 56
Why is using Access Gateway Enterprise Edition to restrict all workstation devices and creating endpoint analysis policies based on browser the best way to ensure that user-owned PCs are treated with the strictest possible security, can only communicate with necessary systems, and do NOT have the potential to cause any network downtime without deploying corporate software to the devices?
Correct Answer:
A. Access Gateway can identify devices before they have been connected to the local network and provide the most secure method to access virtual applications.
(3) QUESTION 29
How can the architect ensure that users in the Engineering and Marketing departments have preferential access to CPU resources?
Correct Answer:
C. Apply the service level policy to the Engineers and Marketing user groups based on the users filter.
I took the test this morning..64%
Thanks for all works
seekingccia, concerning question 29, you are right.
(1) The User filter allows you to apply policies based on the user or group membership of the user connecting to the session.
The User filter allows you to apply policies based on the user or group membership of the user connecting to the session.
(2) The Access Control filter allows you to apply policies based on the the access control conditions through which a client is connecting. With this option the policy can be applied or denied based on defined Access Control conditions, which can be defined in the Access Controller of the Access Gateway.
I chose D because of the description of q30: Why should the architect apply the service level policy to the Engineering and Marketing user groups based on the Access Control filter? Now, this question may not be appear.
Anyway, 2 correct answers to another decision tree question.
Thanks for the earlier clarification. I can see some questions can be a bit ambiguous and hard to answer depending on whether an immediate or a long term solution is sought. A couple of other ones to discuss.
Q29 - How can the architect ensure users in the Engineering & Marketing departments have preferential access to CPU resources?
It would make more sense to apply the service level policy to these groups based on the Users filer rather than the Access Control filter. Access Control can only decide based on where from and not based on who. The Users filter can be used to better identify Marketing and Engineering users.
Your thoughts??
Gus, I think you are right, the answer to question56 is A.
The user device is already accessing the AGEE if the EPA is being run, so there is no "automatically redirect".
But I think, "before they have been connected to the local network" should be "before they have been connected to virtual resources in the local network"
For question 56, the correct answer is A.
While the rationale given by goforccia is correct, there are two issues with the outcome:
1. The user device is already accessing the AGEE if the EPA is being run
2. Saying that the EPA can identify devices before they connect to the local network is 100% correct, as they are accessing a VIP, and no proxy has yet been performed, thus no access to the LAN
[Correction 2]
QUESTION 56
Why is using Access Gateway Enterprise Edition to restrict all workstation devices and creating endpoint analysis policies based on browser the best way to ensure that user-owned PCs are treated with the strictest possible security, can only communicate with necessary systems, and do NOT have the potential to cause any network downtime without deploying corporate software to the devices?
A. Access Gateway can identify devices before they have been connected to the local network and provide the most secure method to access virtual applications.
B. Access Gateway can identify Macintosh computers by their browsers with an endpoint analysis scan, and it provides the most secure method to access virtual applications.
C. Corporate devices run a standard Internet Explorer build that can be identified with endpoint analysis scan, and Access Gateway provides the most secure method to access virtual applications.
D. A browser-based endpoint analysis scan can automatically redirect user-owned devices to the Access Gateways, and Access Gateway provides the most secure method to access virtual applications.
Correct Answer: D
Explanation:
You can configure the Access Gateway to check if a user device meets certain security requirements before a user logs on. This is called a preauthentication policy. You can configure the Access Gateway to check for antivirus, firewall, antispam, processes, files, registry entries, Internet security, or operating systems. If the user device fails the preauthentication scan, users are not allowed to log on. This information can be included as a filter within an access policy or a connection policy.
So, it's "users are not allowed to log on", which means user-device are not redirected to the Access Gateways.
There is no way for "Access Gateway can identify devices before they have been connected to the local network"
Correction:
QUESTION 39
Why should the architect separate the server and desktop components?
A. Infrastructure components are better utilized and configurable pool options are kept separately for the desktops.
B. Server workloads and desktop workloads cannot be configured in the same resource pool.
C. This increases performance of the desktops.
D. This allows for separate pool upgrades.
Correct Answer: A
Explanation:
B is nonsense. C is dependant on more info, D is true, but irrelevant in this case.
The configuration options on xenserver pools are for the entire pool. separating components allows pool options for desktops to differ from the core infrastructure.
Creating separate virtualization pools for the XenApp servers, virtual desktops and infrastructure servers helps to simplify load balancing and ensures that the virtual desktops don't impact the performance of key infrastructure roles (AD, SQL, XenDesktop Controllers, Zone Data Collectors, etc.). In addition, separate virtualization pools allow for the High Availability features of the hypervisor to be tailored to the specific requirements of either desktops or servers. For example, if VM-level HA is not required for virtual desktops, the entire desktop pool can be built without the High Availability features enabled, which can result in substantial savings on hypervisor license costs.
(1)Q21 - This was around which groups should be given a XD in the first phase. You said you chose D but the questions following this decision were wrong. Are you suggesting D was a bad choice?
Q25:
Scenario: "..The groups identified for desktop virtualization during the initial rollout are Engineers, Marketing, IT and Contractors.."
So, D is a correct choice
(2)Q4
under enterprise storage, it mentions that there are plans to upgrade the storage solution to incorporate redundancy, with that in mind.
the healthy helping hands database is being upgraded to server 2008 but no mention of mirroring or redundant storage for this device.
The user profile server is antiquated and has no redundancy.
Based on the above, I'd go B and D
(3)Q67
We need to discuss it..
Big thanks. You have provided by far the most logical answers I've seen yet as I prepare to sit the CCIA exam. A few questions though.
Q21 - This was around which groups should be given a XD in the first phase. You said you chose D but the questions following this decision were wrong. Are you suggesting D was a bad choice?
Q4 - Which components need to be improved for DR. You've chosen User Profile Server and TS License Server. Wouldn't you think the PositivelyPeoples DB is important to be replicated? I'd rule out the HP SAN storage since this is an active-active setup but which two of the UP server, PP DB and TS server would you think are more important?
Q67 - Which two components need to be included in the updated DR plan? As per the current setup it would make sense to replicate the XenApp server (since it has local user profiles) and the PP DB but with the future design using PvS (vDisks for XA) and Citrix UPM it might make more sense to include user data directories or user profiles. Is this meant to be a short term DR solution?
To someone who passed the exam using this VCE file:
Please tell us your score, although it will not be very high, I do want to estimate the correct rate of answers, and I will keep on improving this VCE file.
The score will be 60%~65%, I think.
Now, new Apps and Desktops Certifications in Beta phase and will be launched in early Q4 of this year.
As Citrix declaimed, "a new solutions-focused certification program designed to validate IT professional skills for strategic app and desktop solutions in support of Citrix XenDesktop 7"
They are:
Citrix Certified Associate - Apps and Desktops (CCA-AD) --- Equal to CCA & CCAA
Citrix Certified Professional - Apps and Desktops (CCP-AD) -----Equal to CCEE
Citrix Certified Expert - Apps and Desktops (CCE-AD) ----Equal to CCIA
CCIAs and CCEEs may update to the new equivalent level by passing only one exam
So New exams will be available very soon, and it will be definitely a long time for waiting the valid braimdump for these hard exams.
Don't hesitate! Download this brand new VCE file and pass 1Y0-A16 with low score(but it's enough) before it expired.
1) Changed answers(compared to other VCE) and concise explanation
2) Changed decision tree question(Question 32 and 33) and new question(Question 17, in explanation.)
3) Some questions will not appear at all because of the wrong answer to the top question, I marked these questions as "---Maybe different question appears."
This VCE file has a well organized assessment document with Citrix policy configured for all Human Resources group users(it is new contents).
3 of my friends have passed the exam(1Y0-A16) using this VCE file(their scores are: 63%, 60% and 65%), so, based on these facts, I am here now declared that Citrix exam 1Y0-A16 has been cracked already, although the low score.
