Hello my Technical brothers and sisters I still have not take this CAS-001. I am also studying from Book by Michael Gregg and Billy Hainess by sybex. I dump which I have listed in this post is still very good. I have researched every thing in detail. I have spend lot of time reading this book. I have worked as PC LAN TECH for 5 years and worked 5 years in Data Center as Customer Engineer. I have over 21 years of IT experince. I am 110% sure with help of this dump and the book which I have mentioned I should be able to pass this CAS-001 exam. One must effort and time in order to gain some thing in life. No pain No gain input =output. God Willing I am will planning to take it in Novembers or December of 2013. Peace Blessings.

I spent two months to create 450 page PPT for my IPS which need for my work. In sha Allah. I will be taking this test within few month. By the Will of Allah I alread have my A+,Server+,Network+,Secruity+ and other Vendor Certs at well I worked as HP CE for 4.5 years in large Data Center. Now I am going in IT Security I am 100% sure this Cert will open doors for me. My Technical brother of the Path wish me luck. I will let you;ll know when I pass this and slay this Beast!

IT IS TRUE THIS CERTIFICATION IS IAM II and IATIII I verified it yesterday with the government certification compliance group

According to CompTIA, the DoD has just approved this cert for the DoD 8570 as an option to the IAM Level II and IAT Level III.

I check it out and it has 272 Q on the PDF , and I uploaded again with this 272Q; it should be there within3 days . But I would say use last one ; since it is still valid.

Passed 100% but you need to study more on 6 SIMs.
One of SIMs were not on this dump (i.e. Control, Threat and Risk).

I took this exam today and passed! 100% valid. My first 6 questions were simulations so ensure that you understand those as well. Not sure what I scored as this paper only gives a pass or fail grade. On to the next.

@Hashim read this book cover to cover CASP: CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner Study Guide Authorized Courseware: Exam CAS-001 (Comptia Study Guide)

One of the simulations in this in this dump says, "Given the scenario, download, verify, and install the patch in the most secure manner. The last install that is completed will be the final submission." The "Correct Answer" say, "You need to check the hash value of download software using md5 utility."

Can someone please help me with this question because I'm not sure how to arrive at the correct answer for this simulation.

So what are the port numbers for SQL and RDP anyone. I've been looking them up but it seems to be a lot of misconception.

Hi all , I took exam and I passed today ; the exam is 100% valid ; it has about 62 Q with about 4-5 Sim. you need to know port number for SQL and HTTPS, and RDP to answer the question. The Sim was hard ; if you have Cisco background it is easy to figure out..Thank you James for Exam..They do not give out score ;only say pass/fail .but exam is valid

I think it is worth while to have it, I remember when Sec+ came out few people had it ; but now it is mandatory if you want to get a Government Job. So Yes go for it.. i hope this will help you out.

I am just wondering if it worth to spend money taking the CASP hence I am considering the value of it. As we know this certification is launch in year 2011 & till date, I have not really seen any IT security related jobs stating it as part of the requirement. The exam fee is quite costly as well.
