this dump (known as 'threads' in UK??) is still 100% valid. sat this exam yesterday getting a score of 816. the sim questions really tripped me up the first time around, visiting here before my resit REALLY helped as descriptions of the sims are spot on. thank you soooo much for those that have taken the time to write them on here, they've helped me immeasurably!

Hi just want to know, how many questions is the Comtie A+ 802 exam exactly? Can anyone maybe tell me?

Dump was not valid for me, only about 5 of the questions were from the dump the rest were all brand new. Same sims as stated but 80% of the questions were completely new.

Passed! Lots of questions are still from this dump. Same sim questions as posted below by other users and extra sim questions thrown in:
1. Put in chronological order Windows OS'
2. Set up email for a business using IMAP and SMTP for a cell phone. Company's wireless SSID and password is given, but ignore as it says in prompt the worker isn't allowed to use wireless.
3. Bootmgr is missing. Use command prompt and type "bootrec /fixboot"

Passed 8-23-13 with a 870. I got a total of 75 questions: 7 sims and 68 questions. I counted the amount of questions that were word for word from this dump and 45 of the 68 were valid (66%). If you study this dump and the sims mentioned already in this thread, you will pass.

Just passed with 830. Still valid, though there were about 4-5 new questions (most of which were very easy). Sim 3 and 4 from Barry (a few comments below) were present, although there was a new one where you get an error upon boot and need to upgrade the OS w/o deleting the user's files. It's easy, you just keep clicking the buttons that make sense with the directions given. I forget what the other one was, but you should be fine with the dump.

I just pass this test today with a 814 and this dump is still valid. Only about 3-4 questions werent on this dump.

900/900 passed on Friday the 7th of June. I would have to say the dumps are 90% valid. Only like 6 questions were not from the practice exam and the sims of course.

SIMS #1 --- configure wired network card through network option in control panel, go to ipv4 settings, DHCP on main settings, enter alternate settings with given information(make sure to use actual IP adress instead of IP range address).

SIM # 2--- use MSCONFIG to remove from services an application, and remove it from startup.

SIM #3 -- after virus removal customer unable to retrieve certain websites via browser. Go to CP> Internet Options > Use default Settings> Done
Go to Connections from IE options> click advanced connection settings > uncheck proxy settings.

SIM 4- computer A changed IP address Computer B can't access shares. Command prompt. Computer B- ipconfig /flush then ping ComputerA
Ping ComputerB from ComputerA also.

I'd like to add I am grateful for these dumps as a guide. But, it is best to read a book like Exam Cram, watch Prossor Messer videos and use virtual machines for all Windows OS's for practice and possibly build your own PC (so much fun!) It is best to get the most hands on experience and general knowledge for the exams and for a better understanding for personal and professional needs.

90% valid, there are a few new questions. As for the simulations, make sure you know how to configure a static IP address- you will have to demonstrate. Also, familiarize yourself with the various networking commands! There is a simulation where you will have to use them.

I watched Professor Messor's online A+ videos and studied this dump only in preparation for the 802 Exam. Studying only this dump is sufficient for passing the exam, but for better understanding, I highly recommend the Professor Messor videos. Score: 861/900

A+ certified! Passed both 801 (814/675) and 802 (884/700) today. I used a variety of books including Professor Messor's online videos and these dumps. The 801 dump by aevorea is approximately 80% valid and the 802 dump by Caitto is approximately 90% valid as of today. Same sims as mentioned before. These dumps are good enough if you just need a pass.

Passed today, had 5 Sim's, one was the bootrec /fixboot and setting computer to static IP. All questions from this VCE

Dump still valid. Passed today with a 853/900 i got a different sim instead of the bootrec /fixboot. The sim was launching to launch msconfig and stop two malicous processes extremley easy to do. Other than that study the dump memorize the questions and its an easy pass... now time to work on the net+ looks like those dumps arnt as accurate.. lol

Took the test today with a score of 861/900. This dump is still valid after so much time (only a few questions new). The simulations are the same as stated before by others.. Those from Comptia scrambled some things thou (for example in the "Computer A/B - DNS issue" simulation, the roles of the two computers are reversed) so be very careful, read and understand what is asked of you.. Variations in normal questions also spotted..you just need to adapt on the way, know your trade, pay attention and you'll pass. Good luck and thanks for all the effort to those that made this dump possible.

Took this 3/25 almost identical to the above. When doing the Sim with 2 command windows don't forget to ping from BOTH windows otherwise it'll mark your answer wrong. I missed 2 questions instead of just 1 because of that sim.. This test was piece of cake!

Took exam on 3/23 and got an 845. This is very valid. Probably 5 new questions or so, but common sense type of questions. 4 Sims. Word for word questions from this dump. Use it as a study tool and you will pass.

Thanks for sharing. The dump is VERY valid. Took the exam this morning and I got 900. I got 70 questions that include 4 sim and 2-3 new questions.

Sim #1: Two computers A and B. IP for computer A has been changed. Fix: "ipconfig /flushdns" on computer B.

Sim #2: Error message "BOOTMGR is Missing" Fix: command prompt type "bootrec /fixboot"

Sim #3: Computer is redirected to buy software after virus removal. Fix: Internet Options -> Use Default on General tab -> click Connections tab -> LAN settings -> uncheck Use a proxy server ..

Sim #4: Wired connection. Make sure laptop still connect to work DHCP network. Fix: LAN Connection -> IPv4 -> Properties (leave on automatic) -> Alternate Configuration (enter given IP, netmask, gateway, and dns).

Here are the new questions that I remember:

1. Drag and drop features for Win XP, Vista, and 7. Features include Add/Remove Program, Program and Features, Printers, Printers and Faxes, Hibernation, Start Menu, etc.

2. A question about network security - choose two. I chose Educate User and Set Login/Log Off hours

OUT of the 70 questions.maybe 20 were from outside but not that hard.if you have knowledge of computers you will be able to pass it easily..just make sure you read the questions carefully.

The Simulation questions were

a) Admin changed IP of "Computer A" 192.186.x.x to 10.10.10.20 .Now the client is not able to connect the share drive using the computer name from "Computer B" .Answer is you have to use ipconfig /flushdns

b) After removing virus the client is redirected to antivirus home page prompting to buy him the software whenever he starts Internet explorer. you have to solve the issue.

c) i believe this one was on a Win 7 machine that is not booting up. the picture on the background shows the error message "BOOTMGR missing"
this scenario explains to you that the tech already has a Win 7 installation DVD in the drive and ask you what needs to be done to fix the problem.

I agree with Paul from Nigeria I got 4 sims myself and as for the new questions for the most part they were easy to answer, common sense questions.

Today is March 8th and I passed with a 814, dump is still valid!!!! There were like 5 or 6 questions I didn't recognize. I played around with the SIMs but gave up because I'm not that experienced yet but nonetheless I still passed. Good luck to ya!!!

Passed today, Toronto, Canada. Dump is valid but I got 8-12 absolutely new questions. 4 sims:
1. to restore Win7 "broken NTLDR" from DVD console (bootrec /fixboot)
2. to resolve DNS cache issue with pc1 10.10.10.10 and pc2 10.10.10.20. Used ipconfig /flushdns from pc2 console
3. after virus removal browser keeps opening malware site. Should be fixed. Go to Internet Options > Home Page > Use Default. It worked for me because I got 900 out of 900.

Its still valid. I got a 886 and it was 3 similations on it. One with whats the different between vista, xp, and 7. The other one was something about malware and I forgot the tird one. I was able to do the first one but the second and third one I skilled..

PS.. Also read what the other people are stating their similations were and you should do fine.

This dump is 100% valid. It was word-by-word. Questions from here were exactly on the actual test. All sentences even the choices of answers were absolutely identical.

There were 3 simulation I took

1). Matching key feature in XP, Vista, and 7. To make it easy, I make a note for you all as following; Windows 7 has Programs and Features, Devices and Printers, HomeGroup, and Action Center. Windows Vista has Sidebars and Gadgets. Windows XP has Add/Remove Programs, Printers and Faxes. All 3 OS have common in Hibenation and Start buttom

2).Configuring an email on Smart phone and be able to synchronize with a computer. The key to do is to make sure you use IMAP for incoming mail instead of using POP. The ports on the test were modified not like 143 IMAP and 25 SMTP as a default value. So, be cautious and use what it provided on the exam.

3).A network technician performed a network job last weekend and changed Computer A IP address from 192.168.1.10 to 10.10.10.10. A user reported that she could not access a file server on Computer A from Computer B. What technician should do to resolve this issue?

You have 2 Command interface; one for each computer. To resolve is super easy, just use Computer B interface and run command "ipconfig /dnsflush"

You are not able to use nslookup or hostname command to test. I think the test not gives you freedom or options to check if you resolve it or not. You cannot tell if you fix it but just use that command and it would fix.

Besides reading this dump to get high score, you all should know how to troubleshoot it as well.

1) this one is about windows features on different operating system ( eg. printers & faxes, Devices and Printers, start menu, add/remove programs, Homegroup, Printers, program and features etc.. ) you have to drag the appropriate operating system next to the feature ( eg. add/remove programs would be "Windows XP", start menu would be " Windows XP Windows Vista Windows 7 " ) everything is drag and drop on that simulation.
2) company install two "Genericweb 2.0" application on a windows 7, one of them is giving issues. the company wants you to stop both "Genericweb 2.0" applications from running without changing the registry and other changes on the system.
click on the start menu type msconfig on the search bar and you will find the "Genericweb 2.0" on the startup tab, disable it and apply changes, hit ok
3) i believe this one was on a Win 7 machine that is not booting up. the picture on the background shows the error message "BOOTMGR missing"
this scenario explains to you that the tech already has a Win 7 instalation DVD in the drive and ask you what needs to be done to fix the problem.
you have 2 choices to boot from: hard disk or DVD
boot from dvd to get the Window's installation window, click on repair computer then command prompt and type the correct command line, "bootrec /fixmbr" or "bootrec /fixboot". the simulation will accept only 1 of the commands i wrote ( i don't think /fixmbr worked, i think /fixboot did it) you will receive a message saying "problem fixed" after you put the correct command.
if you can answer the 274 questions of this dump correctly within 40 minutes. you'll be done with this exam in less than 15 min. (mine was 3 sims + 75 question, which totaled to 78 questions.)

701/801 are knowledge test while 702/802 are tested on troubleshooting skills. The difference between the code were written on my last comment

701/702 exams will be expired by August this year while 801/802 are new version which take place starting from the last quarter of 2012. The exams are quite different in some details. 801/802 add new content on iOS/ andriod and virtual machine, The operating systems re focused on XP to 7 while 701/702 go way back to windows NT/2000. It doesn't matter which one you get. They both are A+ certificate. It is your choice which one match for you.

Hey guys i would like to know what is the difference between the 220 - 701/ 220 - 801 and 220- 702/220- 802? because im confused on which exam practice files to pick from as i am writing my exam not so long and need to practice.

It's exactly the same. JKO-802 is just a code used by a school or associated organization to get a special discount price at roughly $80-$90.

I took this exam a week ago and all the test questions I saw were identical word-for-word to this dump file. Thanks so much Caitto! I got three simulations: drag & drop Windows XP, Vista or 7 to the corresponding OS feature, validate an IP address on a laptop through Windows Control Panel, and I had to fix a hijack from the Internet Options feature in the Control Panel.

Is 220-802 and JKO-802 the same test? anyone

U don't make any sense you're trying to tell us not to solely rely on this dump because u think it's better to get the understanding of it than to memorize it but yet it was perfectly ok for you to study from this dump because u knew what you were doing right?

Exam 100% vaild i got 900/1000 thanks CAITTO. Adding to this are 3 simulations, drag n drop section to match what features are available on PC (Devices and Printers on Windows 7, Start menu on all OS's), assign static IP to NB and fix hijack website.

Still valid as of 1/10, scored 900/900 and 874/900, respectively. The simulations will vary but there are 3 per test (801/802), all drag and drop format, and don't count towards your score. As for the questions, they were 100% word for word. I don't recommend anyone rely solely on a braindump to pass, you should know WHY the answers are correct rather than simply memorizing. However, these are good alternatives to paying for practice exams like Kaplan and the like.

Valid - passed on 1/8. Had a drag n drop section to match what features are available on PC (Devices and Printers on Windows 7, Start menu on all OS's), computera cannot ping computerb and you have to ipconfig /flushdns, and a setup mobile device to connect to e-mail.

One one on this scenario. It said you are not authorized to use the corporate wifi so all the wifi information it had I simply skipped using and just configured the phone to utilize 3g or something. As far as the actual dump it was 100% accurate

I took the test today and passed 874/900 some of the wording on the questions kinda got me. I really don't think the simulations count but i still did good. thanks cattio

My other two simulations were also like anonymous which was basically a windows 7 PC was corrupted so you had to use the Windows 7 DVD to reboot the drive and then a msconfig simulation.

Tomorrow morning I will be taking both the 801 and 802 purely studying the dumps. Keep in mind I do however have past experience with being help desk and desktop support. I will post if I pass/fail with scores!

Took the exam, passed easily. 2 simulations questions, plus one where I needed to drop and drag features of different versions of Windows. Action Center for XP only etc.

Simulations:
Enable alternate static ip address
Internet options- stop a browser hijacker, home page and proxy.

All the rest of the questions were word for word.

The funny thing is, I would have passed without these exam questions, but i would have been sweating it.

I took my time, did not answer more than one question every 30 secs.

As of this date, confirmed 100% legit.

I will also be taking this test later today. Will update also.

Ouch i just barley failed this practice test..questions were harder than the 801 :( taking the test soon so hopefully this will help boost me to a passing score.

This examcollection is 110% correct. I have taken the exam today and scored 795/1000. Passing score is 700/1000. Thanks and many thanks CAITTO. You rock. One thing I need to add here is prepare for simulations as well. I had two simulations in this exam. The first one was a windows 7 PC which has got corrupted. I need to restart the PC, select appropriate Windows 7 DVD which is already in the drive. The second simulation was to stop two services through command prompt. I have to open a command prompt then type msconfig and look for the two services in the service and startup tabs and deselect them. I have also passed 220-801 with a score of 750/1000. Passing score is 675/1000. There also I was presented with two scenarios. The first one was to configure a wireless SOHO router with channel, password, SSID, secutiry password and mac filtering to allow selected Laptops to connect to the router.
