Passed exam 809/900 on AUG 11 15 in Edmonton Canada. Let me tell you christiano and thomas is way to go, The questions were actual copy of these dumps. obviously some of them were different a bit but just in words apart from that it was same.

score 835 pass on Aug 10 2015. Used THOMAS and this one to pass. try to understand all the questions and answers from dump. Most of questions are reworded, but if you understand those, it is not hard. less than 10% questions are really new and used common sense to make a choice.

The sims were there. They were my first 7 questions.

Passed with an 802 a couple days ago. Studied with just Christiano and Thomas dumps.

I googled anything I didn't know so i would understand all the possible answers, not just the correct one.

I only got a couple sims from these dumps. Some of the others were easy based on studying these dumps and a couple others weren't.

All in all you will do great if you study and understand the dumps mentioned.

I passes with an 810 last week. This dump helped me a little bit but don't rely on memorizing questions to pass. study the sims from here they are exactly the same as the ones on the real test, the only hard sim that I remember is where you had to identify IP address types.

for example
Class A address
Class C address
Loopback address

and then it gave you a mix of IP addresses that you had to drag and drop to the correct name. I recommend studying the Professor Messer videos. they are on youtube.

also keep in mind that the real test is a lot harder than this practice exam.

Passed the 801 with a 790/900. It was a little tougher than I originally thought. There was about 10 questions where I just guessed. Please read your rest the questions slowly because the wording is very tricky. I used most of the time given to go back and correct some of my answers. The sims I had were:

Library wifi
Bluetooth, IR, radio frequency
Build gaming/virtualization pc
Encryption with wireless protocols
IDD harddrives
IP addresses

I think I got lucky and go the easy group of sims. The first six questions were sims and I did them fairly quickly. I think little more than half of this dump was on my test. I only studied two of these test dumps, some googling, and a little professor messer videos.

I hope this helps. Now on to 802!!

i found most sims in victoria dump. all you have to do is to study two or three dumps. don't memorize just the questions and answers. understand every question and google every term and technology you see new and unknown because i am sure you will get new questions in test which are easy if you've idea about that technology.

Just passed 756 today.
SIMS that I had :
1) Bluetooth range vs infrared vs Radio frequency
2) Public library setup
3) Configure OFFICE Desktop vs HOME theater Desktop
4) IPs (class A, Private, APIPA, etc)
5) Setupg IDE drives into desktop case to improve performance. You have 4 types of drives and you have to put them in 3 slots. Drives can be used more than one time.

Took the 801 this past Thursday, passed with a 752. Watched Prof. Messer Vids once, got the most recent dump (can't remember which one) and read all the posts from the past six months. I also had a private tutor, but the most I believe I'll benefit from this was an industry reference for my resume.

Not too many questions verbatim (definitely less than 40% I would say) but if you know your stuff and understand the applicable reasoning behind every answer, you'll pass with no worries. I recently took my 801 test and passed with 809 out of 900. This dump is still valid but doesn't have all the questions in the exam,so its important to also learn with a relevant A+ book and know your stuff. I recommend that you should also go through the Victoria dump,also because it has all the sims that will appear on the test,it has 692 questions which sounds like a lot,but you should go through them if you want to get the sims that will enable you to pass. The answers that the Victoria sims provides aren't 100% accurate but the sims are 100% correct. Thanks Cristiano for the dump,it was very helpful. Good luck on your A+ test everyone.

Just done the exam today and noticed a whole lot of questions that I had never seen before even in the practice questions :S

I have sat the exam 2 times now and the first 9 questions are simulation. Make sure you know the motherboard and all of the components as you have to label a diagram of the motherboard.

Does anybody know where I can get a whole lot of the practice questions for free. Really need to sit this exam again and pass it!

Just passed 801 a moment ago with 809 i only used this dump, read the comments for assistance with sims's, i also went through professor messer's video's on youtube. One simply cannot rely on the dumps alone if you have had no exposure to the A+ content before. You need a relatively solid understanding of the subject! Passed the test with 887/900 on Monday. Mainly used this dump. It contains few questions you'll find exactely as they are (including a couple of SIMs) plus some others which will help you a lot. Also go through this dump's comments as you will find very useful information on the other SIMs and some "tricky" questions. Just passed the exam today with 796. All sims were exactly the same as those discussed previously. Max 15 questions from this file, the rest were either brand new ones or rephrased. Good luck everyone and don't rely on vce only.

Passed with 852, not very many questions were from the dump, However it makes for a good practice run. The sims mentioned below were accurate.

I wrote the 27/03/14 and passed with 770 but I don't wanna lie it was challenging, I used professor Messer's Videos,A+ book and this dump but common sense helps a lot as u don't get this questions word to word and all the simms were there,thanks for ur comments.

I just passed 801 with 750, didn't feel like this dump helped as much as some of the others but it did help, sims were first, library access point, motherboard, video connectors, gamer PC and CAD PC., didn't have to build a server thank god, but the rest of the standard questions were very different all but maybe 25 - 30 that we're word for word from this dump. I used this dump along with exam cram book by Pearson, don't rely on this dump alone

Took my exam on Mar 21 and passed with a 798/900 using nothing but this dump. All of the SIMS mentioned below are exactly what's on the test and were easy cheasy. Looking forward to the 802.

passed the 801 with 822, didn't find this dump very helpful, there were only a couple questions on the test similar to this dump. test is much more difficult than any of these practice tests.
sims on the test are as posted here in the comments, found the sims on the test to be easy. the gaming pc sim also asked for a monitor and pci card which was not mentioned here. I selected the dual monitor and audio card for the gaming pc, other option for monitor was a kvm.
question about 568a and b connections is looking for the pairs of wires that are similar, answer is pairs 1 and 4. they didn't ask for cable colors.
surprising that I had no raid questions.
question on lifting heavy object, its either lift by using your legs or two people lifting. know your printer repairs, had a lot of printer questions.

I passed today 743. This dump is OK for study material but DO NOT use only this dump to study. I suggest Professor Messer and a good book as well. My exam was quite in depth. I got the SIMS mentioned below, motherboard components, configure a wireless router, identify algorithms used in different wireless security types, build a computer used for gaming and one for virtualisation. Some of the multiple choice questions were really OUT there too unfortunately. I used this dump and Messer to study. In addition I have 5 years on the job experience. Now im going for 802. hab am Donnerstag die 801/802 ein einem Tag gemacht und bestanden. Wenn Ihr die Prüfung in deutsch beantragt könnt Ihr während dem Test auf englisch umschalten.Die deutschen Übersetzungen sind grausam und ich war froh , dass ich umschalten könnte auf englisch. Diese beiden 801/802 Christiano Vce´s sind klasse und zu 90 % gültig. Wenn Ihr diese beiden könnt und Euch die Simulationen hier im Forum anschaut, dann klappt das mit den Prüfungen. Also hört nicht auf den quatsch den manche hier schreiben , von wegen nur zu 20 % gültig, dass ist Unsinn.

Took test 02/05/14 scored 832. Exam is valid. About 30% of exam was on it. Exam has gone up 82 questions. Sims are the same. Be sure to study those wireless protocols and cable specs. Otherwise, pretty straight forward if you rock on this test file. Good job.

Can someone help me? I don't understand where the sim is on this exam? I download the software and went through almost all the questions and I didn't see any simulations? How do I find them?

Took the test on Jan 30, 2014 and passed with 854. This dump cover 70-80% of topics covered on the exam I took. Only about 5 questions word to word, but it was easy to figure out the correct answer. There was a new simulation no one mentioned before.

Passed today. Some questions from this dump but not a lot.

Just passed with 818. There were only a few questions from this dump, but the dump is still good study material if you want to get a feel for the types of questions that will be asked.

The SIMs I got were:

1) Set up a router for a library. Other commenters have already talked about this and given tips. The only thing that tripped me up is that the third tab contains a field for entering an administrator password for the router, in addition to the regular router password that is entered on the first tab. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to enter in the same password as the regular router password in this field or leave it blank.

2) Identify motherboard components. This is a good diagram to study: http://www.build-your-own-computer.net/motherboard-diagram.html. The only parts on the exam that aren’t on that diagram are a PCIe x4 slot and a 4-pin CPU power connector (not the CPU fan).

3) Identify 4 video connectors. The connectors were VGA, DVI, HDMI, and S-Video. This is easy if you know what the video connectors look like. Just do a Google Image search.

4) Range and typical use of Infrared (IR), Bluetooth, and radio frequency (RF). Other commenters have already discussed this.

5) Build a gaming PC and a virtualization PC using a collection of computer components. This is easy if you know that a gaming PC should be the most powerful, with the exception that the virtualization PC requires the most RAM and the most hard drive space. So use common sense and remember that the gaming PC requires the components that would enhance your gaming experience. Also, on my SIM there were only enough parts to fill up both PCs and no extraneous parts, so that helped.

6) Identify which encryption types belong to which wireless security protocols. This was the most difficult one because I wasn’t familiar with some of the options. The wireless protocols are: Open, WEP, WPA, and WPA-CCMP. The encryption standards that you have available to assign to the protocols are: None, RC4, AES, DES, and 3DES. You can assign one encryption to multiple protocols. None of my study material even mentioned WPA-CCMP, DES, or 3DES so I was pretty lost.

The two multiple-choice questions that threw me the most were one asking what type of liquid is used in a liquid cooling system (I thought water but that wasn’t an option), and one question asking for the name of the BIOS feature that requires a password to be entered after the computer POSTs. There was also a question on the wire colors between TIA 568A and 568B standards. Do an image search and memorize the colors on those two. It’s not hard.

In addition to using dumps, I also watched the Professor Messer videos on YouTube and read the Mike Myers book “CompTIA A+ Certification All-in-One Exam Guide.” Another good resource that I haven’t seen anyone recommend is the Comptia A+ EXAM OBJECTIVES ON THE COMPTIA WEBSITE. The objectives give you a list of all the things that you may be tested on. For every item on the list, you should know the definition, speed, range, and number of pins (if those attributes are applicable, of course).

passed with 809, alot of new questions. Use common sense and course content. The virtual server with 10 users is not even being graded and has some parts missing (ie video for htpc and CAD). I did some and left the rest blank. for SOHO, use your home router setup admin to practice.

Some have mentioned professor messer for finding answers to the computer build sims... can someone point me in the right direction for this?
Or does anyone have a nice guide to show how to correctly do the sims??

took mine today hours ago,passed with 8** score,SIMS are as discussed in this forum ,atleast REMEMBER them by heart,got stuck with SIMs in begining,which I was expecting seeing the earlier contributoions.Most difficult was Building CAD/CAM,AV Editing and Win Server 2008 PC,lot of options and not mutually exclusive other mentionable SIMS are
1)Bluetooth,IR and Wifi range and usage
2)Configure SOHO with maximum encryption
3)Match off Home Theater,Gaming and Thick client,as recommended by other start off with gaming,rest will fall in place
4)Configure WAP for library with donated router,set admin password/change the channel and disable mac FILTERING.Though NOT SURE if Security was required in this as administrator wanted kind of hassle free log ons from users
5)MOBO (use the computerhope link mentioned in this thread)

My take on the exams is that, the dumps should form a part of ones overall study plan and should not depended upon solely. Once again I cant be more grateful to you all

PASSED Today with a score of 809. Pretty accurate, all questions are same or similar. Use your good sense, study each question and their answers and you will be good, know especially printers and troubleshooting, private IP addresses, six step of the Comptia troubleshooting process. All sims are as people stated before.

Hello. Sat 801 today 13th January 2014. Passed with 867/900. Tougher than I thought. For anyone else sitting the exam Please Note the following------->LEARN THE SIMS POSTED BELOW by King and others. Know this and it is easy picking. At the very least memorize the custom PC min requirements.
Read the soho sim's carefully. All the info is there. The second soho sim states that the routers were donated. This means you need to clear previous setting's.
The other questions are all basic dump questions. For anyone like me who has a lot of previous experience just remember this---> The exam questions are not about what you might do in the reall world. It's a test of what you know of the 801 course.
I studied exam prep books (Microsoft+Exam Cram Rapid review) as my main study and used the full Myer's book only for reference. I studied no video's as life is too short.

I passed 1/10 with 854/900. I thought there was a higher pass grade, but the passing score is 675.

The sims were indeed exactly as described here. I found the sim with the server with multiple VMs, CAD, and Audio/Video editing setup very bizarre. Generally you'd want a ton of RAM and CPU power for each of those machines, but there are only two quad-core CPU options. You'd think they would at least all be quad-cores. I definitely missed something on that page but didn't seem to matter too much.

Other things worth mentioning:

DDR = 184 pins
WPA2-AES = 256 bit encryption
There was a question about a laptop having slow performance during multimedia use. The only two viable options were 1) replace video card or 2) Add more RAM. I chose RAM since that's a more common practice with laptops but seemed a bit tricky, not sure which answer it was.

I'd also suggest going through official A+ study in regards to Operational Procedures. There were 2 questions about prohibited activity and the practice of backing up the hard drive / quarantining the machine before police arrive.

Other than that, wasn't too bad. There were only about 10 word for word questions from all the tests I've taken on this website; I took about 4 different tests, including all 475 questions from I think this dump. But you should know all the concepts instead of just studying them if you're going into this type of job anyways.

I took 801 test today and passed. I used pretty much only this test to study for it, that and my already knowledge of the computers. The Sims listed were exactly what were on my test. Thanks for this!

I'm taking the exam next Friday, 1/10. Has anyone taken it post New Years? I'm wondering if they are going to change things up now that it's a new year. Either way I'd like to be able to do these things instead of just memorize them, so if I fail, I fail! But I feel pretty confident about actually understanding most of this and applying it in the field. I'll report back after I take my exam. Only taking 801, still need to do lots of studying for 802; just want to take 801 in case it changes drastically in the near future.

P.S.: Go through this dump a few times before you finally write your exam. This will help you a lot.

This drop was fantastic. I went through all the tests about 3 times each and a lot of questions were surprisingly on the actual exam. I had all of the sims as well. They happened right at the beginning so be ready for that. My test only had 72 questions which included the sims as one question. This drop is great but I also recommend the A+ Guide by Mike Meyers. That helped a lot in areas I didn't know the specifics about such as laser printing which is on the test a lot.

Passed today 12-20 with 815. Only around 5 question from this dump were word by word, the rest are similar. I had 8 sims and with this dump plus proff messer helped me get thru it.

December 19th and just passed with an 809. Honestly it was harder than I expected. I memorized three different VCE files on ExamCollection and still only saw 21 questions on the test from the VCEs. I know I got really lucky on multiple questions b/c I didn't think I passed. I got all 8 sims that other people mentioned and they were the first 8 questions I got, which kind of psyched me out a little. The first sim was VERY hard and sadly there has not been anyone who has published the answers yet (that I could find).

You need to build a Virtual Server running Win 2008 with 10 users, a CAD PC, and AV editing machine. This Sim has a lot of options/parts and this is where you can do a lot of mistakes, because there is no process of elimination.

The other SIMS were all easy. On the SOHO ones, pay attention because one of them has MAC filtering and you need to disable it, and another didnt have "enable wireless checked". Also change wireless channel on both SIMS. If you pay attention on those two, they are very easy.

The only other SIM that was challenging at all is below. Thankfully it was easy b/c someone else previously stated the answer, just memorize it.

In the Virtualization PC/Gaming PC/HTPC, remember that the Phenom II goes with the gaming PC since the motherboard is AMD.

What were people putting down for the Admin password on the sims with the routers?

Passed on nov 19. Dump questions are 25% plus simm questions described well here, all together 72 questions in 90min some totally new some rephrased. Reading these posts carefuly helps a lot. Make sure to recognize all parts and connectors included on mobo, since one is asking to match tag-names with location on the board. Few others ask to create optimal custom system from the list of parts. So know what's best for specialized PC. Simm give types of PC and it's chipset asking you to choose cpu, ram, video, hdd and extra item necessary for this type like: tv tuner or video capture or liquid cooling. Some parts maybe extra, some are for laptop. Getting through many practice questions and some Messer videos helped me. One question asked which ram has 184-pins. Good luck! If you have hands on experience make sure to master terminology and you'll be OK.

Hello everyone, I just took the exam few hours back and I score 675 enough to pass. However, I will say only 30% of the question from this dump were on the exam. It looks like the exam has changed. Simulations were the same, as from previous comments, and there are new question. One that I got wrong and they repeated twice was Numbers on Pins on the Memory DDR/DDR2/ DDR3 try to memorize this guys. Thanks Cristiano, and Good Luck All.

I wouldnt say that its only 3 but it is true what others are saying this dump is just about obsolete at this point. I would say its about 30 percent accurate at this point It was about 7 or 8 sims. All mentioned below. Alot of new questions. Thank u to everyone who posted. Passed today. I used Darril Gibsons A+ guide Exam Cram and Professor Messor videos. I am going to have to disagree when someone said anyone could pass no that is not true you still have to know you stuff I think it's just good to have an idea of what you are really walking into especially with the amount of junk questions out on the net.

Took the 220-802 first w/Cristiano dump and did great. Was going to use Cristiano dump for the 220-801 with but from reading recent comments it's no longer up to date....anyone have any suggestions? Will there be a new dump soon? ;(

As stated from the recent test takers, dump is getting invalid. About 4,5 questions on here were on the actual tests (word for word). I would say some were reworded and they threw in some new multiple choice answers.
Simulation comments were spot on - Matching Motherboard components, setting up a SOHO, Matching Specifications for a Virtual Machine, CAD, A/V and HTPC, Thin Client, Gaming PC.
And yeah, I passed - 835.

72 questions with about 7 SIMs. I had only 3 questions on my test that were word for word from this dump. There were maybe 10 other questions that were similar questions from this dump, but not the same. Other questions had nothing to do with this dump. Still passed though, Thank God! :) Thank you to everyone who posted about the SIMS, you were all SPOT ON!

Passed my 801 with this dump, but as others mentioned only like 50-60% of questions from dump was on the test. The sims for me were:

-2 PC building sims (used knowledge but looked similar to other comments here)
-2 MOBO identification (one for whole MOBO and another for SIM6 from King Agar's comments below)
-picture of video port matching
-bluetooth, ir, radio frequency ranges match
-2 SOHO Router setup (at a house and at a library)

thanks to all the comments and Cristiano as it gave me a foot forward for the sims and exam.
