Pass today, but this dump is not "valid". Don't waste your money to take the exam if only remember the answers. It will not works. It is worse than 801. I am sure less than 30% questions I met before. But the good new is all the "new" questions are in the dump scope. If you understand those, you will be fine. Just passed 802, guys the dumps are a curate but make sure u study multiple dumps not only one of them. Simulation u will get the same simulation that is mentioned here but they might not be the same.
I got the boot problem but it was on windows 7 and the bootrec/fix boot command wouldn't work so I had to use bootrec/rebuild br
another simulation was the printer which is new and I didn't see it here. U have to changed the printers Ip . Questions are pretty straight forward make sure u study RAID, viruses, printers, wifi security and u should be fine.

Took and passed the 802 today in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Maybe 2 or 3 questions from here are word from word and about 10 or so reworded. These comments helped a lot so here is my repayment and contribution. Here are the sims I got....

Sim 1
Your bosses print job fails and he needs to be to a meeting in 10 minutes. 1. Reroute the print job and 2. fix settings on his printer so that you can print a test page.

I clicked on the bosses printer and noticed that the ip value at the top was 169. The ip range the other printers were using was 192.168.100. and the last was within the twenties so I changed the top value and the bottom ip value to 192.168.100.25. I then clicked on his computer and the control in list view came up. I clicked on the printers and devices icon. It will not let you click on anything else, believe me i tried. From there you will see the failed printer. Right click and select printer properties and again it would not let you click on anything that did not pertain to solving the issue so keep that in mind. Select the ports tab and click the tick next to any of the other printers ip address and a message will come up saying successfully printed at the bottom right. Then click on the ip address that you changed and it will also say successfully printed.

I got the boot problem sim. Load from cd- click repair at the bottom right-click on the command prompt choice- enter
bootrec /fixboot it will say successful and click done.

I just passed 802. This was my 2nd attempt. All of these dumps were extremely helpful. Not exact wording but similar. I wish I would have known about these dumps before my 1st attempt. Simulations are still valid. Do not rely on the dumps as your only study resource. Otherwise, you will fail. You need to know the concepts. Passed the 802 today, barely. My first sim was partitioning a hard drive, second sim was fixing a non booting hdd with command prompt line 'bootrec /fixboot', and third sim was the mobile phone being sure to use imap and smtp during setup. The multiple choice questions were harder then the ones I've been practicing with. They're a lot to do with recovering RAIDs, setting up network shares and random entry level networking questions for domains/file shares/printer servers. I've been tinkering with computers my whole life, been in a computer repair shop for almost a year, and studied very little for the tests and passed both 801 & 802, not with amazing scores, but I passed. So they aren't incredibly hard if your computer experience is anything like mine. Good luck everybody.

I PASSED my 802! For the sims, I had:
Email on smartphone
Duplicate address on pc A & B (ipconfig /: renew, release, flushdns)
Windows versions (most to least features)
Windows features (printers, add/remove, start menu, etc)

I was upset that there were so little sims cause I caused all of them A LOT.

For the questions though, it was tricky. This dump MAYBE had like 10 questions on the real test. Everything else was similar concepts but new questions.

** The questions @luckyGuess had WERE almost the same questions I had. (IDK he/she was to remember the questions and choices. My brain is like dead right now). Study those!

You will see 2 Command screens (on the left PC-A, on the right PC-B). Click on Screen B and input the following

Windows Boot error:

You will start on the windows Boot menu.
"Select Boot from windows disc". after that the Windows installation window will appear, in the left bottom corner

you will see a option called " Start Up repair", click on it.
Once done look at the bottom of the window and "Select command prompt", the command window will open. now "type in

the following command Bootrec /fixboot.
Once you have pressed "enter" to confirm the command, a message will appear to say that the command was successful.

after that your "done".

When you boot to Win CD in next simulation make sure to click on repair your computer it will look like this

Here you will begin in the Pc network connections window. "Select and open the Wired connection (LAN)". now under

the protocols window "Select IpV4 and open it", now the ip/dns tabs will appear.

"Select Alternate Configuration", now insert the Ip address provided by the sim its 10.10.10.15. The subnet is

255.255.255.0 and the Default Gateway is 10.10.10.0 i think i cant remember correctly but it's close ;) .
After you have inserted all the provided information click "Apply then OK". And you're "Done".

MSCONFIG:

This is a simple one, you will start on the Windows Desktop, "Go to the Start menu and type in the search bar

MSCONFIG". after you're done click on Start up and remove the Tick from the application name provided by the sim
(genware.exe I think ). When this is done, "Click on the Services tab, and remove the tick from the application

name provided by the sim. After that's finished click Apply and OK". and you're "Done".

Tip
In disable startup program called "genware2.0" just go to start type msconfig and it will be in start-up column and

also in service.Then go to start find folder startup and remove programs icon from that folder you dont have to

remove it from trash.

Proxy Setup:

Another simple sim, you will start in the control panel window.
"Select and open Internet options". Once done you will see a address called Hacker123.com or something.
"Click use Blank page" as your home page, this will remove the Hacker123.com web address.
Once done Click the Connections Tab. On this window look at the bottom right corner you will see "LAN settings",

click on it, The Local Area network tab will open. on the bottom of this window you will see a option called "Proxy

Server" and beneath the name is a Tick in the little box.
"Remove this Tick and click OK. click OK again to apply the settings and your "Done".

Another sim will open already in control panel then just click on internet options it will look like this

The sims are valid, I got order windows 7 versions from most to least features, duplicate IP from computer A and B, another one was I had to setup a network card under "alternate configuration" they give you the IP address and you just punch them in, and I think the last sim I got was the bootrec /fixboot. (Can't remember the last one)

But these dumps are not really valid, I only saw like 5 questions and the rest are all different. I got some questions about Windows PE, ATX power connector question, a question about select a wifi channel - wifi channel 6,8,9 are being used and I choose channel 11 as the answer. There were questions where you had to select two choices and the first one would be obvious but the second one was tricky to choose.

Anyways I recommend people watch professer messer's videos for 802 and don't rely on the dumps use another study resoource like a online e-book with questions. I passed with a 728

Passed my 802 today with a 747. Got 4 sims
1. fix windows system(bootrec /fixboot)
2. Place the troubleshooting steps in order
3. Set up a phone for email
4. had to set up tasks to run 2 reports one on Fridays the other on Wednesdays.
Got some questions from the dumps and other where simular to what was in the dumps just wording it for a different angle. All in all the dumps where helpful as was Professor Messner's videos

I took the 802 yesterday. I had 4 Sims:
1. Drag and drop windows versions (from least to most) which has the most features.
2.windows 7 repair through the command prompt (bootrec /fixboot)
3.two disks 1 and 2 are installed in the system. Technician cannot format them from commmand prompt. need to format disk 1 as dynamic disk with two partitions a drive letter 5 with 256000 and drive letter g with 512000mb. both partiton should allow enrcrption and redunancty.
answer;-right clcik on disk 1, click on intitialize, choose disk and option as mbr.hot ok. again right click on disk 1 and choose convert to dynamic disk. now right click on disk 1 and choose new simple volumje. specify storage as 256000 and assign a drive letter f and choose file system as ntfs and clcik finsih. do the same thing for rest of space of disk 1.

If you in S.A and retaking the exam, the simulations will be the same as the ones you saw before. I noticed something about the simulations, I think they'll keep using the same simulations until 800 series/version is outdated. They'll change them when 220-901 & 902 are introduced. By the way I took the exam today and passed with a score 790. The multiple choice questions are updated rather time and again but I got about 20 questions with these dumps I got here.

8. Proxy Setup (Click "use blank" to remove site, under coonections tab - LAN settings untick "use a proxy server...", Apply, DONE)

Lots of questions were from the security module. Questions i can remember are about the loud noise from computer, computer boots then shuts down immediately (failing power supply), strengthen physical security with minimal cost involved (caring doors with physical locks at close of business). Hey all , just had a quick question. Was looking at the posts and for the removal of malware questions I noticed in Charles 11/11 and Dylan's 9/7 post(and all other ones too) they have the steps listed as

1)Quarantine the system
2)Disable system restore
3)Remediate the system
4)RE-enable system restore
5)Create a restore point
6)Update anti-virus (Its something along the lines of updating something)
7)Educate users


However I was perusing the Comptia objectives and they have them listed in 802:4.7 as

1)Quarantine infected system
2)Disable System Restore
3)Remediate infected systems
4)Update anti-virus and scan and removal
5)Enable system restore
6)Create restore point
7)Educate USers

Basically they have update anti-virus in the 4th step while the kind/helpful folks whom have posted have it listed in the 6th step.

Just curious on how I should approach this question?

Took the test today, and the only thing i used was the Exam Cram 6th Edition and Professor Messer Videos. The sims I saw: You select to boot from the DVD rom, and then you select to Repair your computer, and you select command prompt. It asks you to fix the boot file, and all you do is bootrec /fixboot. The other sim was to configure IMAP and SMTP on an iphone. Pretty Easy, just copy what the information requires. The third was to put the 6 steps of Comptia Troubleshooting Methodology in Order. There were a lot of questions for security, like biometrics, RFID badge, degaussing, commands like net use, traceroute, and NSLOOKUP. Other questions included what should you disable or enable, whether it be Mac Filtering, or SSID, or Port Disable. Pretty Easy Test overall.

Passed today with 8xx score. Less than 10 questions from the dump were on the exam, so only use this dump as a reference, as it should be anyway.

The sims from Shala's post from 7/11/2014 are still valid, at least some of them. I got the mobile phone mail sim (IMAP/SMTP), Windows boot error sim (bootrec /fixboot), and a new one using Task Scheduler (schedule two tasks, one recurring once a week and the other once every two weeks to launch a bat file). Also got a drag & drop to put troubleshooting best practices steps in order. Other than that, the rest were multiple choice.

Studied with Mike Meyer's book, cbtnuggets, Prof. Messer vids, and this dump. Know the theories and you will be set. God help you if you memorize this dump :)

I just passed earlier today, got 851/900. This dump is probably only 10-25% valid, I have memorized all the questions in this dump, have a good working knowledge of IT from college classes. Only 10 -15 questions from this one, lucky I got valid 901q vce from my friend, the rest of new questions are came from 901q vce file in my exam (Toal 81 multiple choice with 4 simulation), i studied the l2p vce to practice all question 3 times !

oh, yeah: know what robocopy is. know all about securing soho(they ask about 7 questions on it). 2 questions gave you screenshots of a comp: 1 after running tracert with failure on host 4&5, the other with a shot oafter ipconfig that showed you couldn't get past the local host(which i think means a prob with DNS adress resolution). one ? was a type of social engineering(choose from physcial threat or bribery) another ? was about vishing. loud sound coming from tower is it: bad cd or bad hard drive or forgot other choices). windows wont boot after booting ok yesterday: (bad usb, bad cable or 2 others).

Passed 802 today. only 3 sims: configure email on wireless device, the windows repair one(bootrec/ fixboot), and configure 2 tasks with task scheduler. there were about 15 questions ive seen in a hundred places, 30 that were re worded in some way, shape, form, and 10/15 ive never seen anywhere before. 81 multiple choice in total and 3 sims. practice all multiple choice several times!

Hello guys, i just had the 802 exam but unfortunately i failed with 680, it was my mistake cause it took long thinking in few questions and i was out of time, however i got 3 sims, one of them was for boot win 7 but it failed and i don't know why, is there any help?

Well I failed my 802 exam today. I got a 671, out of 900 and 700 was the lowest passing score, so to say I am disappointment would be an understatement. I used these dumps to quiz myself and I found them to be helpful but on the actual exam, I found it to be a lot harder to be honest. I think I may have gotten one or two questions from this dump but only the question was worded the same and the answers were a little different as well. This sucks. Also, I only got 3 sims. The sims on here only covered two of the sims I had on the exam. The email config for the phone and the bootrec /fixboot sim. I am pretty sure I got those correct, but the other one was not on here.

It was about scheduling a tast report or script to be run on certain days during the week and you had to go in and set them up with the information they provided. Sorry I can't really remember them all that well, but after a little fiddling around, i think i got that one correct, but I guess I won't know for sure.

I guess its back to studying some more. I thought I had this one down with the 801 being so easy (I got a 813 on it) but I was wrong. This sucks because I also have to pay for another voucher code online and they aren't cheap.

In the end, all who view these exams. Use them for practice, but don't solely use these as study materials. They are not up-to-date except the sims in this comment section. CompTIA updates their stuff regularly. Study the exam objectives, which I didn't do enough of, and you should be golden. Good luck to everyone else. I'll be re-taking the exam soon.

Well if you i was you i would just study all 9 of the sims. i think i had about 5 or 6 sims. i know for sure you will have the computer A and B, Cell phone configuration, deleting computer virus process, and the MSCONFIG but just study all of them, by studying them when i was taking the test i was almost laughing because i know all of the sims.

Hy rely need help writing 802 on friday

I'm covered in exam blood y'all. I scored a 813, all of the sims here are current. I think maybe 15 of the dumps was on it, word for word and similar questions. I studied two books four practice exams (dumps helped the most). If you self study and passed the 801 like I did without dumps . I think it's safe to say you will not be able to pass the 802 without dumps and studying the sims form the comments. Studying the sims and dumps is the missing link in the self study process. Everyone on here is trying to save money to make some good money without paying for the 2 week course which cost like $1000 bucks and all they do is train you on the answers to the test. Does anyone know how to do the simulation question about setting up Friday and Wednesday files. One is to run every Friday while the other one is to run every other Wednesday. I did not know what commands to use. I took the test today and failed it. this is my third attempt. the test was completely different than the last one. Can anyone help. there were quite a lot of confusing questions on there. I studied a lot and nothing has helped me so far.

I PASSED MY 802 ON TUESDAY!!! All the sims mentioned here are still very valid. Infact all of them were in my exams. About 10% of dumps was available, not all. Just do all these sims and practice a couple of questions from cram exam 6+ edition and you should be sorted.

I have taken the A+ 802 exam today and passed with a score of 800/900. All of the sims mentioned in the previous comments are still valid. I used this dump, however primarily used the dump uploaded by caitto which really helped.

Took the 802 today, and 1 sim was different from the sims listed on here, it had to do with 2 pc's with sharing capabilites that were no longer able to connect to eachother due to different IP's, you have to configure in command prompt how to get them to connect to eachother to share once again. If anyone has a new braindump please upload, there are maybe 5 questions max from this dump on the exam, a new one needs to be uploaded ASAP!

Passed 802 yesterday on 2nd try, getting a score of 781/900. The sims were a killer the first time, I checked here

before my 2nd attempt and I'm REALLY glad I did as the descriptions of the sims were absolutely correct. Thanks a

lot to all those that took the time to write them on here, they helped me pass! Just watch Prof Messer's vids and

study exam cram comptia a+ 6th edition. Don't rely entirely on these braindumps as only a few of the questions on

this dump appeared in the exam word verbatim, there are some new questions in the exams and they change frequently.

set a strong password for user per Microsoft standards (in user accounts), set screensaver to blank and enable

after 15 minutes, require logon after resume (in Personalization), require password on wakeup (in power options).

Disk Management - you'll be asked to make 'Disk 1' into two partitions


sim 3
Mail Sim:

You will configure the phone with IMAP and SMTP protocols for the incoming coms, "select IMAP". and configure the

outgoing coms with SMTP. "Note the information required to fill in the settings are all provided by the sim. So

please read carefully.

Tip
The mobile has save button in top right corner, your instructions might cover it so watch out for that, first is

IMAP then SMTP.

Computer A-B setup:

You will see 2 Command screens (on the left PC-A, on the right PC-B). Click on Screen B and input the following

commands:

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns

You will see that the commands will work after each input. after the final command, click in the information box

"done". and that's it.


sim 5
Windows Boot error:

You will start on the windows Boot menu.
"Select Boot from windows disc". after that the Windows installation window will appear, in the left bottom corner

Here you will begin in the Pc network connections window. "Select and open the Wired connection (LAN)". now under

the protocols window "Select IpV4 and open it", now the ip/dns tabs will appear.

"Select Alternate Configuration", now insert the Ip address provided by the sim its 10.10.10.15. The subnet is

255.255.255.0 and the Default Gateway is 10.10.10.0 i think i cant remember correctly but it's close ;) .
After you have inserted all the provided information click "Apply then OK". And you're "Done".

adapters wire wifi and bluetooth just r-click on wired ->properties-> IPv4-> then second tab alternative

MSCONFIG:

This is a simple one, you will start on the Windows Desktop, "Go to the Start menu and type in the search bar

MSCONFIG". after you're done click on Start up and remove the Tick from the application name provided by the sim
(genware.exe I think ). When this is done, "Click on the Services tab, and remove the tick from the application

name provided by the sim. After that's finished click Apply and OK". and you're "Done".

Tip
In disable startup program called "genware2.0" just go to start type msconfig and it will be in start-up column and

also in service.Then go to start find folder startup and remove programs icon from that folder you dont have to

remove it from trash.

Proxy Setup:

Another simple sim, you will start in the control panel window.
"Select and open Internet options". Once done you will see a address called Hacker123.com or something.
"Click use Blank page" as your home page, this will remove the Hacker123.com web address.
Once done Click the Connections Tab. On this window look at the bottom right corner you will see "LAN settings",

click on it, The Local Area network tab will open. on the bottom of this window you will see a option called "Proxy

Server" and beneath the name is a Tick in the little box.
"Remove this Tick and click OK. click OK again to apply the settings and your "Done".

Another sim will open already in control panel then just click on internet options it will look like this

Just passed my 802 today!!! 781/900. All the simulations were the same EXCEPT they didn't have the drag and drop featuring which Control Panel options appeared in which Windows version. Instead they put Disk Management in front of you and ask you to make 'Disk 1' into two partitions. Everything else was dead on. Only maybe 5 questions from the dump appeared on the test which is fine because I was just using it as a study tool on top of Professor Messer & Mike Myers' A+ book. If you're trying to pass using only these dumps you're wasting your time & money. Use these in conjunction with the other study tools I mentioned and there's no way you'll fail. So glad I found this site! Good luck all!!!

Passed the 802 today!! I saw only about 10-15 questions from this dump, and alot of new questions, but i would still recommend this dump for study purpose. the sims are still the same as noted below. luckily i had only 1 drag n drop.

The Sim's are actually not as complicated as people make them up to be, they are actually fairly easy to complete.

Mail Sim :

Read the instructions carefully, some of the Sim's has traps in them. You will configure the phone with IMAP and SMTP protocols
