Just took the exam today December 04 and still very valid word for word, and the simulation same as previous comments. But, if you are planning on taking the exam do it as soon as possible before they change it. All you need is to study this dump and you will pass the exam. Good Luck All. I was really skeptical but this dump is still valid! I see a lot of posts here from around the world. I am in Florida, USA. The test was almost word for word. There were some worded slightly different but not enough to even comment on. Sims were the same except on the Internet explorer sim, there was no way to uncheck proxy. I just reset defaults, especially the home page. I have no idea if it was the correct answer or not because they don't show you what you missed. The sim where you set up mail is probably the worst, I know I messed that one up as well. My score? 854/900. Take these tests, write down the questions you missed and study those answers, take the test again and repeat. I took these tests 5 or 6 times each and the pay off was well worth it! Thanks to everyone who contributed, especially you, Cristiano! You are a hero! Wish I could buy you a drink!!!!!

Just passed today with 880 still valid, must of the questions are here I had like 8 question that weren't here but they are similar to the ones in the dump. I had the 7 simulations that are here in the comments I only had wrong the sim connecting the phone to the mail server. thanks for everything .

On the VCE I see it says Trial version when I click the purchase tab it opens a new link to purchase Designer + Manager for 34.99 or Manager Only for 29.99 and Upgrade from Manager to Suite for 14.99 which one do I choose to get all 442 questions. Passed 27/9 841/900 dump is very much still valid and most questions were word for word, maybe 5 new ones but still easily answered if you have basic understanding of the topic. All I can say is focus on the sims, remember the commands and when to use them, the virtual machine will only allow you to click on / open programs relevant to getting the correct answer so you know you're doing it right the further you get. Again, MEMORIZE THE COMMANDS it's by far the most important step, and then you will be home free! Thank you Cristiano I owe my pass to you!

Got all questions right this dump I'd say its 100% valid coz even the new questions abt 5 or so are ain't that difficult. Watch out for the sim "Sync cell phone to mail server. Follow directions." I only got that one wrong. Study this Dump Only!!! Others r just waste of time really. Every thing the previous comments say its Valid ppl. A+ Certified :)

This dump is getting out dated now it is a good study tool but you need to know what you are doing it is a hard test but if you study and use this dump then you will do well on it as you get the feel for what you need to know for sure and get practice on. I scored 95% on this test or 860\900 and I studied hard for this test and as for how many of the question are on the test from this dump its getting to be 20-30 % so the dump is outdating now but great study tool

Yep, this dump is still valid. Took the test today, got a 821. There were a few new questions that I had that weren't in the dump. Also, make sure to study up on the simulations, I only had 5 of the 7 simulations and they were at the very beginning, one after another.

passed 802 yesterday. the dump was like 90-95% of my exam. the sims that were listed by Jacky below were the exact sims that were on my exam. watch out for setting up the cell phone with email sim as there was a little trick question on that sim. thanks to all the comments and to Cristiano for this dump.

This dump is about 95% valid, as everyone stated below it starts off with the same 7 sims. I scored an 860 studying only this for three days. Good luck!

I've just come from the exam, my score is 887 BUT there are 10+ new questions and some changes in the simulations. In the questions: one question was asking about how to synchronize the server time after having 45 minutes of difference. Answer is: Net time/querysntp. Another question: which maintenance service should be implemented on nightly basis, answer backup do not choose patch installation. Question: no permission to check the disk drive in windows. Answer : choose recovery console then CHKDSK with /i switch. Another question is about preventing the intrusion on a cellphone , Answer: assign passcode, do not choose disable bluetooth.
About the simulations: in the simulation of the admin that changed the ip address and can't ping by name, first ping each other by name from the result you can determine which PC has the problem, then ipconfig /flushdns on the pc responding with the 192 then ping by name it'll work, no need to type ipconfig /release or /renew.
This is what I remember for now.

All the possible sims. Know how to complete all of them.
1) Configure a wired network card with alternate ip settings.
2) Use MSCONFIG to disable startup items.
3) Virus removal with web browser, uncheck proxy.
4) Communicate computer A to B. Ipconfig (release, renew, flush dns, ping)
5) Sync cell phone to mail server. Follow directions.
6) Match windows features to OS (7 XP,Vista) (in this dump).
7) Put os in order from ultimate to starter. (in this dump)
8) OS won't start. Get to command prompt. Type bootrec /fixboot.
Follow directions and read the information carefully.

Remember one thing. Passing the test is just passing the test. Supplemental books and experience will help perform on the job. If you are new to IT and just pass a test, there is the interview and job performance to consider. Take your time. Learn the concepts. Build your own computer from scratch. Know how to get around a router. Understand basic networking and raid by actually doing it. Give yourself a few months to learn the material. Some people are really book smart and can look at it once then pass the first time. It took a lot of effort and dedication to pass. Whatever dump is used, get screencast-o-matic. Finish the dump. On the review record all the questions. Give 5 or 10 seconds then push the record button all the way to the end. Make a movie of all the correct questions and answers which are color coded. All you have to do now is play the movie to learn the material without all the mouse clicking and user input :) Hope this helps. Thanks to the community for the support!

After a few months of studying passed. Let me say the text books didn't do justice compared to the dumps. This dump has most of the questions on it. Was short on time and wanted to be sure was studying the correct questions. Bought the test from passguide for $89. Was the best money spent. This isn't a sales plug but out of the recent update as of September, was like 2 or 3 questions were not in any dumps including passguide. Think they intentionally throw in some questions not found anywhere. Regarding the sims, got configure a cell phone to sync with a mail server. No need to sweat on this. all the information is given. The key word here is "share" the device email with the mail server. Think most select Pop3 with the associated port. If you want to leave a copy of mail on the server, Imap should be the correct choice with the port. Pay attention. Get the password and input information correctly. It is case sensitive. Read the instructions carefully and slowly. Follow directions. At first looks overwhelming, but is simple if directions are followed. Smtp information is also given. Got the computer A/B, ipconfig /release, renew, flush dns, ping. There was the failed to boot, get to command prompt and simply type bootrec /fixboot. There was the sim to match the operating system with features (in this dump), the ultimate to starter matching and msconfig disable program. Follow directions! Do only what is being asked. The passguide dump was word for word and the most up to date from all the dumps.

--------------It was saying that administrator changed IP config on Computer A from 192. to 10.10.10.xx/24 . and computerB have 10.10.10.xx/24 but they can't comunicate by the NAME and you have to fix it. I have just done ipconfig /flushdns (cleared the cache) and they was able to ping each other by the name (ping ComputerA, ping Computer B) u didn't have switch /all so rest wasn't important.----------------

----------- Read whole description carefully it did say that u can't delete any shortcut or make any other conf then just disable them on the next reboot. if you disable them in msconfig they should be deleted from startup folder (start->all Programs->startup.in real windows) so take that under consideration----------------------

Just passed the 801 today with an 883/900

Passed the 802 yesterday. 65 of 75 questions directly from this vce. The only questions that weren't were the sims. Still valid.

I have memorized all the questions in this dump, have a good working knowledge of IT from college classes. Is there anyone out there willing to help explain some of the sims to me so I can take the exam? Ok passed today still valid .I had all the simulations at the beginning. The mobile has save button in top right corner your instructions might cover it so watch out for that first is IMAP then SMTP.When you boot to Win CD in next simulation make sure to click on repair your computer it will look like this http://cn.cbsimg.net/cnwk.1d/i/tr/Eve/figs02142008vista/G.png.

Another sim will open already in control panel then just click on internet options it will look like this http://www.eventehelp.com/control_panel_internet_options.jpg. Then go to connection -> Lan setting and uncheck Proxy.

I just passed earlier today, got 821/900. This dump is probably about 80-85% valid. There are new questions, but they are easy to answer. The sims were all the ones posted below plus the ones in the dump. Just memorize the answers and you shall be fine! Thanks Cristiano, keep up the great work!!

Passed this today in Massachusetts about 30 minutes ago, 821/900. Dump is still valid and damn good. Only about 3-5 new questions. I got 4-5 certs: CompA CompB IP stuff, email settings, remove stuff w msconfig, and set up a wired network. I don't think I got any of them right, and I'm not sure if you get partial credit on them or not. Make sure to take parts A-E using something like visual cert exam a few times and you'll be golden.

Taking the 801 in a few hours, will update on that section after the exam as well!

This dump is about 50% valid. Several simulations are on the exam from configuring static IP to setting up mobile e-mail. Known the commands and basic troubleshooting procedure.

@Fredje simply and first of all, dart your eyes on the boot options, you will get either to boot from DVD or Hard Disk, choose DVD and then go to the command prompt and type both commands as i did:

bootrec /fixboot
bootrec /fixmbr

and then exit

About the Sim with the "bootrec" command.
Do you need to do "fixmbr"AND "fixboot" ? Or only 1 of those 2 commands.?

And for the browser virus removal, do you ONLY need to uncheck the proxy or also set default settings in Internet options.? (And what default settings in witch tab is referd to.?)

Very good, I used this to help prepare. I passed with an 801, some of these questions were on the test. The sims were the hardest part, make sure you know your command line switches.

Took and pass today about 70% from dump. 750/900 Make sure you know what Motherboard looks like. ONe sim asked to identify the components of a motherboard. It gives you a pic and you drag and drop the RAM, Processor etc.
Another sim had to configure email settings for an iphone to connect to company email.
Also had to diagnose why CompterB couldnt connect to ComputerA. The sim displayed windows prompt in separate screens and you have to fix: "ComputerA recently changed its ip address and ComputerB is still using the old ip address to try and connect" diagnose the problem. may need to use arp

You also set up an HTPC (more memory, tv tuner), Gaming system (strongest processor i7), and normal laptop (sodim memory, i3 processor) and others.

Just took the 802 today, passed with 880/900. sims were as mentioned, around 70% of questions were from dump, the rest where similar and easy enough to figure out. results stated I made one or more mistakes on wired/wireless SOHO security, I sure wish they'd tell me what I'm wrong about! I studied Mike Myers All in 1 book and bought his Total Tester before I found this site. His questions are much more difficult. thanks to everyone who posted about the sims!

Hi guys, I went today and Passed the test, There were 11 questions not on this exam and 3 that were just worded weirdly. The only annoying thing for me was that the first 2 sims wouldn't work, straight up froze solid.

I pass today 875 but most of the question is not in this dump. I think only 20% is in the dump. I was able to answer most of the question because of my experience. I had 8 of the simulation questions.

Some new questions were tricky to answer as I have never seen them in the book. It was more of a situation based.

I concur. Smoked 802 today with this dump. No more than 10 or so new questions. SIMS are as stated from tech and others. Basic computing experience will help ensure you understand the Sims and how to navigate them, simply knowing "what" to do is not enough.

Hi, what port # did you guys use for the sim for email configuration? Did you use port 143 or port 993 for IMAP4? I am trying to find out what I did wrong

Took the exam today. Sims were right on and I would say about 75%-80% of the questions were from this dump. I got a 867 which must mean I got most of the sims right. Try to get a minimum of five out of the seven/eight sims correct that were mentioned in the comments. There were about 10 questions not from this dump but not too hard. Besides from the sims try to get no more than 10-12 multiple choice questions wrong and you should be fine. Once again if you can get most if not all of the sims right. (5 out of eight or better) and no more than 10-12 questions wrong you should be okay. If you are studying this dump you should be scoring 95% and up consistently to be sure (at least for me). Thank you to Christiano and to those who provided guidance on the sims. A+ done.

Used this and 220-801 Cristiano dump and got a 841 on this exam (on 10-1)and 874 on 220-801 (on 9-22). Took Networking classes at junior college in area and listened to entire Professor Messer A+ prep. Make sure you view all questions on VCE as almost all of them are in these dumps.

Took the test on Friday (Sep 27, 2013) and roughly 90% of the test was from this dump. Word for word.

The other 10% was practical stuff. Look at what Tech said to give you an idea about what to expect there.

I never got a question that had to do or talked about anything about a permission mask. One question did ask something like this: "If the ntfs file permissions were set to Allow - Read, Allow -Write, Deny-Modify, what would the user be able to do with the file?" << this was a NEW question in my own words.

To everyone else trying to pass.there are 5/7 simulations that I can remember from the top of my head.>>

1. set up a cell phone using SMTP/POP3 protocols with provided information
2. use msconfig (type it in), to disable some components on startup AND start menu (Start > all programs > Startup > mouse over the file name > right click and select DELETE and say yes.)
3. use ip config release/renew and flush dns to have computerB ping to computerA. (the PING is the final command you'll give computerB but make sure u PING both PCs)
4. Boot windows from CD-rom (DO NOT PICK HARD DRIVE), select command prompt and type in "bootrec /fixmbr" and your done. (fix master boot record)
5. Can't remember what it was but I think you had to set up a laptop's IP address (WIRED, DO NOT PICK WIRELESS!') should be easy pickens.

Well the other 2 sims, your on your own. Study this dump, watch professor messer's videos, use rapid review books as well as Mike Meyers a+ passport book, exam cram and you'll get a score in the 800s. Good luck!

Dump is still valid, about 80 % of these questions were on the exam. Thanks to this dump I am now A+ certified. .7 Sims were on the exams that were mentioned below and be careful because some of the questions are re-worded.

I took 802 last week. FAILED. horribly. there were about 5 questions from this dump on the test. I dont at all doubt christiano. I took 801 with his last dump and passed 786. I believe that the test given to me was unfortunately a test that this dump didn't cover. I'm going back next week to retake 802 and i'm going to use this dump and HOPEFULLY I get a test with these questions.

Nib-chan, do you know what the question was trying to ask you? Was it a permission mask in the OS? What answer did you select?

Got 827/900. Dump is 87% Valid. Watch out for those Allow/Deny questions, it tripped me up but I forgot what the question was. I had about 7 simulations. Know how to use bootrec /fixmbr, ipconfig /renew /release /flushdns, PING.

The sims in the dump were helpful, but I never got the order of the Windows 7 OS'es. Make sure you KNOW your command line tools!! Don't rely on this dump, go watch professor messer videos, he knows his shit. Do that plus exam cram by David Prowse and you will pass!

Passed today 880/900. Like others mentioned, 95% of the test had questions exactly word for word from this dump. 7 sims that we the same as mentioned here. There were about 6-7 new questions but they were similar to questions from the dump, just re-worded. Thanks for this dump, I am now A+ certified!

Dump still vaild about 95% post with sims vry usefull

Pass today 788/900. Total 8 SIMS and 7 are new. Some questions was tricky about 4-5 new questions. Thanks for Cristiano to share and help.

@Greg it provides you the port and protocol you just have to pick the appropriate one for the each field. In all honesty the hardest part is choosing POP3 or IMAP I happened to use IMAP 993 and from my results I didnt miss it.

For synching cellphone to mail server, do you need to now the secure mail ports like SSL/TLS?

This exam is quite challenging, All i did to prepare was this question pack. Plenty of questions I had no freakin idea. but passed 780/900. This exam is a piece of shit regardless..

passed yesterday wth 781 yes this dumpie is 100% valid, only few challenging quiz but not tht hard im sure u guys out there wl go around thm jst like i did, en take a look at the stuff mentioned by Tech they are there, il advice u guys to google tht stuff en hv a look at cmd line, fixboot, en more to get an idea of wht to do if th sims come up! im now A+ Tech thnkz for th dump..

Tech, I agree with you 100% Relying solely on these dumps will indeed allow you to pass. Majority of the material in books you will not find on the exam, the questions on the exam are so specific. Mike meyer's book had no information about mantraps and other topics. To be honest with you all though, I did the entire dumps for a week every day before my exam.

Know all the sims!

All the possible sims. Know how to complete all of them.
1) Configure a wired network card with alternate ip settings.
2) Use MSCONFIG to disable startup items.
3) Virus removal with web browser, uncheck proxy.
4) Communicate computer A to B. Ipconfig (release, renew, flush dns, ping)
5) Sync cell phone to mail server. Follow directions.
6) Match windows features to OS (7 XP,Vista) (in this dump).
7) Put os in order from ultimate to starter. (in this dump)
Follow directions and read the information carefully.

Remember one thing. Passing the test is just passing the test. Supplemental books and experience will help perform on the job. If you are new to IT and just pass a test, there is the interview and job performance to consider. Take your time. Learn the concepts. Build your own computer from scratch. Know how to get around a router. Understand basic networking and raid by actually doing it. Give yourself a few months to learn the material. Some people are really book smart and can look at it once then pass the first time. It took a lot of effort and dedication to pass. Whatever dump is used, get screencast-o-matic. Finish the dump. On the review record all the questions. Give 5 or 10 seconds then push the record button all the way to the end. Make a movie of all the correct questions and answers which are color coded. All you have to do now is play the movie to learn the material without all the mouse clicking and user input :) Hope this helps. Thanks to the community for the support!

After a few months of studying passed. Let me say the text books didn't do justice compared to the dumps. This dump has most of the questions on it. Was short on time and wanted to be sure was studying the correct questions. Bought the test from passguide for $89. Was the best money spent. This isn't a sales plug but out of the recent update as of September, was like 2 or 3 questions were not in any dumps including passguide. Think they intentionally throw in some questions not found anywhere. Regarding the sims, got configure a cell phone to sync with a mail server. No need to sweat on this. all the information is given. The key word here is "share" the device email with the mail server. Think most select Pop3 with the associated port. If you want to leave a copy of mail on the server, Imap should be the correct choice with the port. Pay attention. Get the password and input information correctly. It is case sensitive. Read the instructions carefully and slowly. Follow directions. At first looks overwhelming, but is simple if directions are followed. Smtp information is also given. Got the computer A/B, ipconfig /release, renew, flush dns, ping. There was the failed to boot, get to command prompt and simply type bootrec /fixboot. There was the sim to match the operating system with features (in this dump), the ultimate to starter matching and msconfig disable program. Follow directions! Do only what is being asked. The passguide dump was word for word and the most up to date from all the dumps.

I plan on taking this exam tomorrow. From what i see there is a mix of this and other study material. i'm going strickly with this prep. I don't care of what i get as long as I pass.

Just finished up this exam this morning with 854/900 score. Like what theAB stated there were a few new questions which is prompted at the beginning of the exam. I used this dump + the passguide dump from reaper along with exam cram and professor messer videos. Every question I had was word for word from this dump with the exception of the few new ones they said would show up. Every simulation stated in past comments I saw on the exam as well, including the ones in the dump.

SIM #1. Configure wired network card through network option in control panel, go to ipv4 settings, DHCP on main settings, enter alternate setting with given info and use actual IP address.
SIM#2. Use MSconfig to remove from service an application and remove it from startup
SIM#3 after virus removal customer unable to retrieve certain website via browser
go to Control Panel>Internet Options>use default settings
go to Connection from IE >click advanced connection settings>uncheck
proxy settings
SIM#4 Comp A changed IP address Comp B cant access shares
ipconfig/flush dns then ping Comp A and ping Comp B from Comp A

I took the 802 this morning in the Midwest United States. I passed with a 860/900 and it came from doing only this study from cristiano.
*** I sat down at 6:00am this morning and went through all 442 questions and then read the sims described by Loki..I took the test at 10:00am and passed***

There were a few questions that were not covered in this study.HOWEVER COMPTIA ADVISES YOU THERE WILL BE A FEW QUESTIONS THAT THEY ADD THEY MAY NOT NORMALLY BE THERE..

I feel like some people must not study the full 442 questions because all the questions I had except for a few were on this study. There were 7 sims and the hardest 2 were one where you had to use CMD prompt to repair the missing BOOTMGR file..and another where you had to setup exchange email on a phone ..

iam scared to use this dump i think this dump is not valid in canada and states anymore but valid in other countries

Passed the exam today with 808. I used the jean andrews book, prof messer and this dump. The sims where about using ipconfig to refresh dhcp and dns, configuring a mobile device to use IMAP (not iOS or Android), Changing ip address in Windows 7, Removing services in msconfig, using bootrec /fixboot(mbr) and removing proxy and home page after virus removal and listing windows features by version. This dump was about 25% valid.

Missed first attempt by a hair 1 or 2 questions. Are these simulations part of the over-all grade? Also missing some experience with mobile gadgets and config for same. Exam was also full of the usual spelling & grammatical errors, which are kind of a nuisance .idiot formatting/ writing surely grabs one's attention, I am quite sure the 7 sims are graded, some folks seem to think otherwise.

just passed with a 781 just by using this file thanks Loki for providing the sims really helped out. had some different questions on my test and some on this file but really need to update this file tho. i only had 76 question when i took my test and about 6 sims to configer. now im A+ certified location in guam.
