For the question Configure most WAP in most secure manner: Disable SSID broadcast, select WPA2 with AES and what else did you have to do??
Barely passed on this dump. Out of 75 questions, maybe 20-25 were from this dump.
where can I find the simulation test/practice? I am having test on 21/Aug.
I am studing the questions as well as these simulations. Will let you know which dump is good to go.
I passed today using this dump and AnonTester.295q.vce. the questions are valid but there are a lot of new questions and I had 8 sims also.
Test is still valid, passed it today 886 score and also used AnonTester.295q.vce. Almost all questions from both were on the test.
Test is valid with minor flaws. It makes up for this in terms of quantity of questions(pack had 447)-so it is a good tool to add to the toolbox along with Anontester. Error rate though was slightly higher then annontester. These two exams & Messer website are good studytools. Test taking strategy, as others said-skip the sims work the test-then go back to the sims.
Took exam today, 70 questions, 7 or 8 sims. Only studied this dump and professormesser.com, passed, but not by much. This dump does not have practice sims. Hard, but rewarding.
Hello all. As I understand it, there are practical scenario lab questions in the exam. I do not see any of those lab/practical/scenario questions in this dump? Can someone describe what these question are like please? Thanks.
Can you give me an examples about the lab that you facing ?
Passed. 70 questions, 7 sims. Did not have about 25-30% of the questions.
Dump is valid. I studied this dump and the Anon dump along with reading the Darril Gibson Security+ study guide book. I got an 865. There were 70 total questions with 7 of them being simulations. There were 11 questions that were not in either dump, but were either very similar to other questions in the dump, or fairly easy to figure out. Good Luck all!
Passed today in California with a 900!!!!! There were 91 questions including 3 sims. Each of the multiple choice were verbatim from this dump and Anons. I used many studying materials including TestOut and Trancenders but all I needed to pass were these dumps!!
Passed today , this dump is pretty close and i did not do the sims
Just passed the exam with a 831 score. It was a 70 question with 7 simulations and about 4-6 questions weren't on this dump. Make sure to study this and "Anony" and you'll do just fine even if you bomb the simulations.
Is there a good website to help study the labs in the security plus exam? Line 9tut?
Took my sec+ last Friday. Passed easily. Had 7 simulations and 70 questions. About 8 questions on the exam were not on the dump. Used this dump and Anonymous's as well. Studied for a week.
This dump is pretty dang accurate. Took my Sec+ exam today and scored a 816/900. Be mindful of the simulations though. I advise studying up on your routing protocols and configurations. The sims were no joke. But since I knew what to expect with the multiple choice questions, I pretty much blew through them and still passed. Thanks examcollection!!!
Used this to pass today. Studied for 4 days. 825/900. About 75% of the questions were on the exam. Forgot a few of the right answers. 6 or 7 simulations. West Coast USA.
I just passed the exam 838 my score. Some of the questions are new. Thanks guys
Hey guys was wondering if this dump was valid for the other exam codes for this test? Im pretty sure the test will be the same, but don't just wanna assume. Going start reading the book for this in about a month just wanted to make sure. Thanks in advance
Valid, passed yesterday with 880/900. About 70% of the dump was in the actual exam. Use this along with the Anonymous 288q dump.
VALID. Passed today with 860/900. Yes, there are 7 sims with 70 questions. Maybe 8 or so questions not on the dumps. Thanks Cristiano and Anon!
Valid. Passed with 838/900 using this and Anon 1-19-13. Thanks uploader(s)!
Have background in and Network+ which helped with some acronyms, protocols and ports, and studied from 5/19/13 til I took it today. About 5 questions not on this. Definitely read 'security's' comments from Anon 2013-01-19. Posted below
70 questions (including 7 simulations). Out the 64 regular questions 5-10 were not from this dump.
Simulations:
1. Check the logs of (Firewall, IPS, Router, Server) and find which of these failed in most secure manner.
2. Different types of attacks (Whaling, Vishing, Hoax, Phishing, Spam)
3. Wireless router (WAP) IP tables configuation - You will get need to use the Source IP address, Destination IP address, Port Number based on the protocol that they specify, Protocol type (TCP or UDP), Allow/Deny
For me, 4 rows were required to filled and all were to Allow, HTTPS port 443 (TCP)0, SCP port 22 (TCP), TFTP 69 (UDP)
4. Security smart phone versus security server in data center
Smart phone: GPS tracking, device encryption, Password lock, .
Server in Data Center: mantrap, antivirus,..
5. Configure most WAP in most secure manner: Disable SSID broadcast, select WPA2 with AES, ..
6. Ping attack simulation = Smurf Attack
7. Arrange in order how a forensic expert will preserve evidence: Cache, RAM, Swap, Hard Drive
I've been studying this and the Anon dumps for a while now. I'm gonna be taking the test tomorrow:)
Just sat today, agree 100% with Sam. 900/900 simulations didn't count towards my score because I didn't even do them. Not all of these questions were on the test, but they are very similar, so if you were just using this as a study guide you'll be fine. I have a Security background and already have my Network+, so check out Professor Messer's vids along with this and you'll be fine!
Wrote mine and passed with 8xx you must know the ports numbers and be able to identify types of attack/viruses and remember the rules for WPA ,change the default SSID,use non overlapping channel 1,6,11 and guys you must read don't concentrate on this dump only cause I only get around 30 question from this dump but if you read especial the attacks
The simulations - I believe I had 7 like most people - all in the beginning of the test. Suggestion: go through the test and come back to them at the end. As you know, they dont hurt you if you get them wrong, they are basically like extra credit. one was connecting port numbers to protocols.. you should know the port numbers for SNMP SMTP Telnet FTP SSH DNS and I think TFTP. another one was connecting basic pictures and a description to the type of attack (if you know you stuff a little, you should be able to get it). Those are the main ones I remember..sorry i dont remember the other ones, but dont worry about it, study the questions well and you should be good.
@hiiiii: Did you have any of the simulation questions? How many? I'm sitting for the test tomorrow AM. Thanks!
I took it yesterday, studied this and Anonymous 228, passed with 831..just around 7-10 questions not from these dumps, but it was fine. Still valid, good luck.
@jones: I wonder what Comptia pays to spread bullsh** these days. I'm betting you could tell us.
Check out the JK0-018 dumps. They are 100% the same exam, the JK0 is just the test code for the academic institutions that are contracted with CompTIA. It allows them to purchase discounted vouchers.
I'm going to write on the 14th of May what type of simulation question should I excpect and please confirm if this dump is valid
DO NOT TRY TO PASS BASED ON ANY OF THESE MODULES!!!
I would not say it's valid, at all! I had 70 questions, 7 sims and I got none of these questions, not even relatively close. However, that does not mean there is no utility to practicing with this module. I implore you to know the concepts, I had to simulate 3 types of attacks, monitor log files to identify a specific attack, and other sims. the questions I had were heavily based on the cryptographic algorithms and their funtion. You should be well versed in TLS as well as eliptic curve. Dont try to cheat, you will probably be sad in the end
Dump is valid. Passed with 886. Thanks for uploading.
same as Jerry for me..Passed exam today. 70 questions but only 20 from this vce + 7 sims. Thanks
Passed exam today. 70 questions but only 20 from this vce + 7 sims. Thanks
This was the trick. Passed the test. Many questions were from this download. Thanks a bunch.
This is still perfect, i wrong mine today and it was a peace of cake.
Passed exam today 4/29/13 in united states. Studied this dump as well as 1-19 and 2-18 dumps for a week(plus prior security knowledge). 70 questions, 7 sims. About 70% of the questions/answers were word for word from this dump. The rest were worded differently but covered the same concepts. Know which algorithms are block ciphers (pick 3 of the 7 options that use block ciphers).
Took exam today 847/900.. Dump is still accurate. 70q w/7 sims. Know ur ports.. LDAP,SSL,SSH,RADIUS,TFTP. Maybe 7 or so questions not in this dump!
