Passed today 835/900. I only studied this dump and worked through the TestOut coursework on Net+, however I think that might be a little out of date. Oh, and I am already CCNA, Security+ and Linux +. So I do have experience and other training.

I only went through this dump once, then answered the ones I got wrong, then took the test. There is a lot of talk about these questions not being on the test. Well, they are wrong. After I was done I went back and counted. At least 33 of the questions came from this dump. I think there were probably more, but I only went through the whole set once.

Here is the thing. If you know what you are doing, these questions are just what they should be: confirmation that you understand the material and maybe point out some esoteric fact you had never had reason to come across before. If you are out for a test that you can check your skill level, this one will work as well as any other. But if all you want to do is memorize test questions, good luck with that. I suspect you will not be on the job long.

Thanks all.

passed with a 722.phew., i had very few ISO model questions, there was maybe 4-5 questions, but worded differently, very very different from this dump.the sims were same as everyone is saying, except for 1 that was figuring out what tester used on a wire for cause.

but study study, i would use as maybe a "have a learned anything" then forget them. Professor Messer on youtube, and just learn how each thing is used not just the definition.

less 10% from this.so bad, they change the style of the whole exam, more close to the real task, give you the diagram of whole floor, and want you troubleshooting everything like srsly "everything", even the command line on switch. But this one still good for study. good luck for everyone, PASSED with 780 today in Canada

Passed the exam on 6/24/2013

Here is what you need to know. They have updated the bank of questions. However about 30-40% of the questions from this dump shows up on it (or at least it did mine). I did pass with a 739. Use this dump to test your knowledge NOT to remember your answers and you should do well. 4 Sims, same as others have mentioned. Test was in the USA

Passed today trip-7's. Dump concepts still valid, though wording is somewhat different. Emphasis on wireless and standards. Had a subnetting question!!! Simulations were 1) Identify different wire connectors drag and drop 2) Network power failure 3) WAP placement/encryption type/antenna type 4) Read a screen from testing equipment. Identify testing equipment and if readout indicates proper length of cable. Study hard & good luck.

Took and passed the exam today. I saw maybe 5 questions on the exam from this dump or any of the other dumps here. Same sims as everyone else is describing. I used personal knowledge, CBT, Professor M and the dumps on this site. I would say the dumps would best be used to test your knowledge but nothing more. It seems like their pool of questions is outpacing the dumps.

Passed test. Utilized this dump for studying, however there were about 60 questions that weren't on dump (although they were relatively similiar). Dump is good to study but highly I suggest watching all of the professor messer n10-005 videos, and researching every tech-word you don't know in this dump. Test had a few sims. 1. Connecting 3 switches to the internet through a router after power failure. (I think you had to disconnect the two back switches from eachother and only allow them to connect to the main switch right behind the router). 2. Visually match up 5 connectors to their technical name (mostly fiber). 3. Order the T568B wiring. 4. New access point added ot the network, configure it like the others. It needed to be on channel 6, put on 'g' mode, changed to 100, and full duplex. Unsure if the sims were graded. No questions on subnetting. Several questions on cabling distance / names / throughput. Know your tools. Good luck.

Passed today with 814 out of 900. Only about 20 out of 80 questions word for word from this dump, but the content that the dump covers is I saw on the test. As long as you understand the concepts of the content of the dump, you will do well. Like most people say, dont just memorize the questions, but understand them. 4 simulation questions at the start, click and drag questions.
Troubleshooting Methodology, memorize the order, all 7 steps.
Configuring WAP's
Restoring a network after power outage
Order of T568B wiring scheme

I took the test today and passed with 784. This dump test still good but study other tests also like the most recents uploading in here, and wath some of the professor Messer videos to understand the basics, study protocols; tracert, ipconfig, nebstat, netstat, trouble shooting methodology. Simulations are important; wan conection between buildings, the order of the T568 B cables, types of fiber connectors, trouble shooting a switch after power failure. Every test is different in some point, but prepare with the basic.

This dump is valid guys. I just passed with 755. I skimped through the notes and studied the 2012 dump together with this one. Most of the questions were word for word. However the sims got me. 4 Sims were similar but the wireless one involved setting types of antenna and security on 6ap between two buildings. Wiring one was the same as described as was the switch/port one and the other was the troubleshooting steps drag and drop.

All Q&A on the web purchased or free are good to help you diagnose and prepare you for troubleshooting. Heck I learnt some stuff in these dumps the books I purchased never mentioned. But reality is, these dumps are no longer valid to pass the test. But dont despair - these are still good for real world situations. Learn these with the books you purchased and dont go with just these dumps. You not doing yourself a favor. Read, understand, learn.

Woop Woop passed today with 814/900. Exam taken in Dublin, Rep.of Ireland. Definitely over 70% of questions from this dump and Lexxo's (both are near identical dumps anyway) came up in the exam. Same sims as mentions 1. Power outage on switches, enable/diable ports 2. Two wiring/cables sims 3. Drag and Drop Fiber connectors. Although I read the Mike Myres Network + book, downloaded n10-005 question apps from the Android Play Store (great revision) and browsed the Exam Alerts sections on the Network + Cram Guide, the dumps contained 3/4 of the questions, nearly word for word. I learned the material as best possible anyway, but can't deny the dump sealed the deal for me. Thanks to everyones input and advice and most of all the dump uploader. If you have a smartphone, you need to get VCEm for your phone. Great way of going throught the dump questions wherever you are :-) Good luck to anyone taking the exam!

I took this exam on April 1, and the dump gave me like 50% of the questions not word-for-word. I studied Lammle's textbook and I ended up making an 804. However, many people who studied off this dump BARELY passed this exam (several people got like a 721!) so be sure to know lots of the material. The sims don't count toward your score, but I got a troubleshooting method one, cabling color, setting up a WAP, and switching loop. Some others got one where you match a cable connector picture with its name.

vinny - To find how many subnets a /28 CIDR produces you first count how many borrowed bits in the 4th octet, which is 4 bits borrowed. Then, use the algorithm (2 ^ 4 = 16) or written out means, 2 squared by BB(bits borrowed) = 16 subnets.

The other guy was giving you the # of hosts machines, which is bb ^ 2 - 2 = 16 hosts.

Here's the chart:
BITS - 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1
HOSTS- 256 128 64 32 16 8 4 1
SUBNET 1 4 8 16 32 64 128 256

Took the test today, got a 793/900. 4 sims to start right off, wiring, ap question, switch loop, and troubleshooting method. 80 questions. I only used anon dump, never looked at lex's. I would say 40 of the 80 were almost identical if not identical. The other 40 were totally different. You do get your picture taken as well. My advice is as follows: if you have 0 puter knowledge and think you can study THIS dump and pass, no way, impossible. You have to have some sort of IT background, study guide, etc. Best of luck to all future test takers.

A lot of new questions, a few reworded questions, and maybe 10-15 were from the dump.

I had 4 simulations
-color code of T568B cable
-troubleshooting methodology
-switch loop problem
-2 building with the 5 waps

The tests seem to be a luck of the draw. I took a bootcamp for networking+ and I have a CS degree. Some of the stuff I can figure out but even the last guy said 40% were the same, 20 questions were worded differently. Come on people, thats about 60%!!!! Jeez, I have personally taken all 8 exams and I take them 1 at a time and I can easily pass them all. Some I get in the 900's, some high 800's, but I understand protocols, the port #'s, the OSI and TCP/IP model, security, wifi, TS method, if you dont know the sims that people have explained, then thats your fault. Now, with saying that. I take my exam in a few days and I will report back the truth as to how this dump compared to the actual exam, if I passed, what sims if any (some get sims, some dont). I also think a lot of people post stuff to "persuade" you in one direction or another. Wish me luck and I will report back soon.

I only had 2 Questions word for word and maybe 20 questions that were very similar but with the wording and answer order changed a bit. The rest of the exam was completely different from this dump and I did study all 789 questions multiple times. It would be very smart for anyone using this dump to at least have read a study guide or video training before attempting this cert. Good luck

@BJ - It isn't that hard. Just read a CompTIA Network+ book if you haven't already or download CBT Nuggets Network+ videos and go over the dump. The questions that are different aren't much different from whats already in the dump itself. If you need this Cert to graduate and you feel the need to go as far as trying to get someone else to take it for you (which will fail) then you should change your degree program. Basic Networking with some slight BS specific questions and thats it.

@BJ why don't you hit the books instead of being nervous and asking people to take it for you. Took the n10-005 today and passed with 784. Used This dump only. But I am about to finish up CCNA-4 and CCNA Security at Tech school along with reading Sybex N+ N10-003 books. I feel like score should have been above 800 but all that matters is the pass! Sims (performance based questions) Were all at the beginning and spot on with what others posted. EX Cable tester/cat5 color coding, 2 building WAP, 3 switch loop. Id say about 70% of the test was from the dump exams I used, I didn't have time to do the last 2. I feel I know this stuff but don't have any hands on experience dump helped me make sure I didn't blow $300.

For the wireless between the two buildings I put Parabola 14db antennas pointing left to right then right to left, WPA-CCMP and then open access in the building with omni-directional because it asked for maximum coverage area. Said I got it right, so there could be more then one right answer. Interesting. Don't know how I missed the cable one. Selected troubleshoot with Cable Certifier then entered the correct PIN layout, says I got it wrong.

Screw CompTIA the questions honestly suck on half of them. Left way too open for interpretation, so be prepared.

Passed with an 846 . This dump is more valid than any of the other dumps I have used. Approx. 70% of the multiple choice questions on the test were dead on. Before you take the test look over all of the comments on the sim questions.
Sims I had:
1. Troubleshooting process
2. Kill the routing loop (disconnect the wire connected between switch 2 and 3)
3. WAPs in two different buildings and you need to set them up (Directional signal from main building to the other with WAP and same encryption on each side, no security on the three WAPs in building because open guest accounts need to be active, limit the inside signal by using opposite directional att.'s on the walls and omni in the middle) -pretty sure I got this one correct but I haven't seen any comments on this one before.
Also watch the vids at www.professormesser.com ---a good "refresher"

Hope this helps some people know what to expect!

I'd concur about 60% are from the dump as you see them. If you're just looking for a quick pass good luck. Most of the different questions were more challenging with different answers, but a great great study guide regardless. Sims are the same and not too difficult.

90% of this dump is still valid. I also watched Professor messor videos. I had Fiber connections, WAP placement between 2 buildings, 3 switches (computers unable to access Internet), and I don't remember the 4th. The WAP placement seemed tough because I forgot the difference between TKIP and CCMP on WPA.

Take your time doing the simulation questions.

Took this today in India passed 828. Lots of q word for word. 4 Sims were similar but the wireless one involved setting types of antenna and security on 6ap between two buildings. Wiring one was the same as described as was the switch/port one and the other was the troubleshooting steps drag and drop.

Passed the test yesterday with an 893. I work as a network admin and used this dump to study. The 4 sims in the start were just as everyone mentioned. Pretty simple and the rest of the questions were almost all word for word with the exception of a few. I finished in 25 mins so I'm thinking if you study this dump and have some knowledge or hands on experience with networking its a simple cert to get.

took N10-005 yesterday and passed. Dump is about 80% inline with test. 80 questions. 4 sims: order troubleshooting steps, config WAPs, 3 switches don't work, computers can't talk to WWW, can't remember 4th question (sorry). Much of this is everyday stuff if you work in the industry. Also bought a quick study book to hit the highlights. Glad I did; several wireless questions, some not in any of the dumps I used. Like a few others, I wouldn't rely on just these dumps for study material unless you work in the industry and deal with it everyday.

I scored an 859 yesterday. Anonymous and Lexxo are right on with this one. Only need to study these 2. Make sure to study the dumps completely (approx 800q's). I got 3 simulation questions right at the start and they involved the following:

1.Wiring a T568 B cable (make sure to know the exact color order and drag and drop them in place. Keep in mind the cable is displayed back side (clip end out) and sideways facing right. Starting top to bottom with Orange-White/Orange and ends with White-Brown/Brown

2. This simulation displays 7 or so cable ends pictures and has 7 or so scrambled tiles with the names of the ends/cables types. Simply drag and drop the different ends under the appropriate cable end type picture

3. This simulation involves a blue print view of an office (overhead). You have 3 APs. One AP (AP2 the middle one) has mechanically failed and was replaced and has since been dysfunctional. Your job is to figure out what the problem is and fix it. The solution is to take note of the settings of the other 2 APs (1 and 3) change AP 2 settings to match the other 2 with the exception of the following: IP address and channel (make sure AP 1 is set to channel 1 2 is set to 6 and 3 is set to 11.

I made a 842 on the exam. I calculated and found out that out of 90 questions, I only missed 5. Three I know I missed were the simulations. So you will be fine just going based off of this.

I have heard of three other SIM questions that can be taken from another post.

. Fixing procedure- identify the problem, establish plan of action, document findings but all 5/6 steps in ORDER.

2. two buildings and you need to set the correct WiFi standards and password protection.

3. Three switches, and u have to disconnect/disable the cable between switch 2 and 3. to get the connection to work

Gotta make sure to prepare for them all if you havent taken them.

Took the exam today. Dump is still valid. Got 872 out 900. Had 3 sim questions at the beginning.

1) 3 APs and number 2 is not working - Solution configure AP2 to G, channel 6 & set the speed 100mb Full Duplex

2) Correctly wire a RJ-45 cable - Put the correct coloured wires in the crimp

3) Put the correct types of connectors with the words.

I was able to speak to a represenative from passguide and she couldn't give me a solid answer. All she said was to download the latest update. When I asked her if there were drastic changes she said, and I quote "I THINK SO". I really don't know what to make of that. I think maybe the dump should still be valid with some of the questions updated.
