Jim, calling and taking the test is two different thing.. I completed the exam. you are getting second hand information. so, chill out bro, this site is to assist people who have not taken the exam. people like you, just read the comments and you may find some useful information that can help you get pass this exam.

ACTUALLY, to correct the person below, I JUST literally got done talking to my testing center in Maryland and they said there are officially performance questions on the Security+ SY0-301 exam and that it officially changed Jan 5th. So, I'm not sure what the hell everyone else on here is talking about, but if you don't know for sure, CALL YOUR SPECIFIC TESTING CENTER BEFORE YOU TAKE THE TEST SO YOU KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT! I haven't taken my yet, but am soon. I just called them to verify this and they said that there are definitely the new performance questions on the test. This may vary from testing center to testing center, but I know the one in Maryland I called confirmed this. Just a heads up!

I passed. the first three questions were simulations. OMG I thought the entire exam was the same way.. know your ports. lots of port questions. actually, one of my simulations was to match the ports.. I only had 90 questions and the time was about 1:15 min not 30

Actually just got off the phone with COMPTIA, the performance based questions have not been implemented yet and will not be put in place until a new test is designed. They are expecting to discontinue the current test sometime around Aug 2013- replacing it with a new test( with performance based questions).

Failed the exam today. Couldn't find the idiot dump. Can someone help me with idiot's dump. Please please.

USE the idiot guide dump - don't use this one.. - Idiot guide will work for the next two days.. (it's changing Jan 5th) - passed with 841 - studied PDF guide, and Prof. videos..

Scored 820 in NY this morning by using only Idiot's dump. About 90% questions on the exam word for word. Good luck.

This dump served me no purpose, took my test today and passed it with a 754 (Close Call). But not one question from this dump was on the exam, I do not know how CompTIA or PearsonVUE works as far as testing structure but this was totally a waste of time. Fuck it I passed, CompTIA CASP is next ;-)

Passed today with an 894. Studied Darril Gibson's Security+ book, Professor Messer's videos, and ID10T's practice tests. That one is quite valid and found it to prepare me well. Know your concepts for offguard questions and you'll do fine!

FIRST, great thanks to wxz as I just took the exam and scored an 888. I believe I had a well rounded knowledge of the info but the IDIOT dump is definitely the one to study. Thank you again wxz. Good luck everyone. Know the fundamentals and then study that dump and you should do well.

I took a look at Idiots VCE.. I recognize many of the question from that study guide.

Fail the exam today.. got a 720, I only saw about 6 questions from the study guide.. They have a new pool of questions. if anyone have additional dumps please let me know. I can give you a different email address to send it thanks.

Is this dump now invalid? I've been going over the questions and I test on the 31st. I know not to only use this, but I do have it as a guide. I just don't want the questions to throw me off from what will be on the exam.

Message for 'This guy' - you need to learn some humility. Don't brag and boast about your ease of passing a test you didn't study up on. You got lucky. Do you deserve the right to be Security + certified - NO! Oh well, just as Jim stated, some people don't deserve success. Those of you studying, know your Objectives and use these exams as study tool. Look up the answers you don't get right. If you get lucky and a question is on an exam then consider yourself lucky and then encourage others to study exams dumped on this site w/o telling everyone that the same questions are on the actual exam. As we all know CompTIA is checking these sites and will change the exam.

Passed with 823/900. 3 questions from the dump were in the exam. If you're doing this in Australia, you better know your stuff!

I studied exam cram, plus Daril Gibsons book and also used wikipedia extensively to research when I was getting questions wrong in the practice exams.

@Jim, you are right my friend. These punks over here wont get the idea that these dumps are here to help people out and now because of some moron passed the exam in almost no time, Comptia has changed the exam question pool.

@ThisGuy why would you race through the exam in 23 mins? Dont you realise that by doing that you give away the fact that you have dumped the exam and it WILL change within days ?

Just took this test and scored 984. The questions were all word for word out of this dump.

Now way you should fail. This is full proof. If you review this until you can answer all 445 questions then taking the 100 question Sec+ exam will be easy. I review this simulation 4 times until I had pretty much every question and correct answer memorized and I just scored a 900. Thats 100/100 questions correct and it only took me 23 minutes out of the 1 and a half they provide you for the examination.

I took the entire test and found some of the questions were vague. I read Darril Gibson's book and some of the questions weren't even in the book. In all, if you take this simulated test and look up the answers you don't know I think you should do pretty good.
