Pass Your CompTIA SY0-301 Exam Easy!

I have to take this test to keep my job. I have been studying professor Messer videos. What else can I do to pass the Security + test? Any advise will help please?

I just took my exam today 9/30/2013 and passed it. I did use this VCE to study brain dumps for my test. I will admit SOME of the questions were on the test but a lot were not. Your best bet is to get a good book (I got the one Darill Gibson wrote) and really learn the knowledge. I will admit though, the simulations that are in the VCE are pretty accurate. I did about 5 of them out of 7 that were in this book! Great VCE for studying!

So I took the test on yesterday, and passed 759/750. Yea I just passed, but I passed none the less. Now I didn't study Zico's dump as much as I studied Anon's dump. I kinda wish I did thou. Both their dumps have questions that are on the test. But the SIMS thou...those are different animals. If you don't know the "terminology" then you'll prolly fail. The test itself was hard, but with some studying you should pass. I do suggest to study both this dump and Zico's dump..and you should have success.

Took the test, passed with a 753 and yes I will take it. Dump only had about 10 questions from it. Used Messer - security videos, along with free pdfs and using other dumps to get a understanding of the questions. Took this exam on 8/15, failed by 2 questions. 5-10 questions from this dump.

Passed the test on 08/09/13. About 5-10 questions from this exam collection were on the test. I had 8 simulations. Used Get Certified Get Ahead - Darill Gibson to study.

Passed yesterday with 788! About 5-7 questions from this exam collection were on the test. I had 6 simulations.

I had an internal Security + class written around Get Certified Get Ahead - Darill Gibson and I also read Get Certified Get Ahead - Darill Gibson.

Know the ports and port numbers and what they are used for.

No longer vaild, passed barely but with exam cram book.

Any of you that recently took and failed the test do you know if any of your questions were on the JK0-018 test?

Took the test today and barely passed with a 763, but I'll take it! Test definitely changed. 7 sims. Setting up a firewall, types of physical security, setting up mobile device security, and 4 others I cant recall. DO NOT only use this to study for exam.

So ok, the test changed but what are some of the examples of sims that are on the test? I take the test tomorrow and i've been reading the Sec+ book and popular VCEs. I'm nervous as hell but i think i'm a be okay. Can someone please helpo me out though. THANKS!

Guys i need a little help here. I have been reviewing the several anon reviews and the christian reviews for a while now. it looks like the test has changed. I need some advice. i need to take the test in the next month. i feel like im ready because all the study guides look the same now. my question is HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR THEM TO PUT THE NEW STUDY GUIDES UP????

Agree with everyone. I used the DocAdams, Anon 295, Justin 408, and Cristiano 442. Out of all of the vce files I managed to scrounge up about 10 questions that were on the exam.

The sims are covered in the link below from "Aug 2013 Tester". I found out Friday that the exam changed so I actually read the "CompTIA Security+ Training Kit (Exam SY0-301) Roughcuts" from Microsoft on Friday and Saturday. This book contained all of the pertinent information. The questions in the VCE files were able to test my knowledge even if they were not in the actual test.

Agreed. No longer valid. Took test 5 Aug. Passed. But MANY questions were not on this. Only a handful from this vce were still valid.

I only had like 15 questions on the exam from this dump. I barely passed so i suggest studying more then these dumps. I read Security+ passport by mike meyers. I dont think this dump is valid anymore.

Why are there no answers to the sims?
Also why are sims in the test?
Nothing about sims is covered in the Sec+ book.

Last week I paid for and tried to download Security + 301, however, when my husband looked at the exam it was not Security + 301 but some other exam. After contacting people for almost as long, finally someone told me to collect Exam Collection for assistance. How do I make sure what I'm selecting and purchasing is what is downloaded to my computer?

Then what is the valid exam if this is not on the real exam?

Took exam today, used this Dump and various others. only about 20 quesrions where "similar" to the exam. if it wasnt for me attending a sec+ boot camp course i would have not passed

I had no questions from this dump, but I barely passed. So I'm breathing a sigh of relief. I do recommend reading Security+: Get Certified Get Ahead SY0--301 by Darril Gibson. At least until there's a new brain dump. If I didn't go through that book, I think I would have failed.

Just took the test an hour ago. Only about 10 questions were from this dump. Study up from multiple dumps. Will definitely need to have some knowledge. Barely passed the test, but I'll take it.

Like I said before if you are lucky enough to get the dump questions you are all right but if you get the other bank of questions and you dont know anything besides the dump questions you're screwed. Thats why i suggested you actually have a book and other resources to study. Good luck, seems like some people are lucky enough to get the dump questions while others arent so lucky.

Please do not study this dump, invalid. May be 3 questions came from this one and the other 288q done by Anon Tester. Everything is changed. I took this and failed. Invalid in US.

i took the test yesterday and passed. this dump covered pretty much everything in there, besides the one of the sims. not sure if it changed since it's now a new month, august.

It's Official! I took the exam today, August 1st and only 10 of the questions were similar to this file. The exam has changed. I agree with the other comments, if you dont know the material this file will not help you! Luckily, I knew the material and I passed.

Took the exam , most of the questions are in this dump, Sims are not that hard you need to study the types of security terminology and ports.

I agree with <<Jeff>>, depending on which bank of questions you get you might not see very many questions on the test. You really need to study via a book, or videos to pass and know it. I was lucky enough to know alot of the stuff and had studied via book and videos as well. Dont rely on just these dumps you might be throwing away $285. Prepare for the different banks of questions but know the questions from these dumps as well.

Just took it today,passed 886! still very valid! Even the sims! Almost all the questions were ones i had seen on both test or very similar. Used this test and the Cristiano 442q.vce and you should be fine.

Okay, so, I did use this .vce to pass this morning. However, as someone stated before me, the test has changed. I doubt if 10 of these questions were actually on the test. To be honest, I felt like I really only had about 4 of these questions on my test.

But do not let that discourage you. I had not studied a single bit. In fact, I had completely forgotten I scheduled my test for today and didn't remember until about 9AM. My test was scheduled for 2PM, so I just crammed all 295 or so questions and hoped for the best. I scored a 800 on my exam, and I am pretty sure I didn't do the labs.

Just a heads up. I would check out that newly posted vce and maybe run through those questions a bit. I am going to look at it in a while and if that looks to be more accurate, I will comment and confirm.

studied mainly this for about a week and passed with just under 800. That said, the test is changed. Very few of these questions are going to line up as many of my classmates found.

DO NOT use this as your only means of training, you will likely fail.

Took the exam yesterday (July 29th) and its about 85-90% legit, simulations as well. Scored 870. The other questions were not too difficult and you can work through them with a little prior preparation from the book.

I would suggest however, to do the simulation questions last because they eat up all your time, and they don't seem to weigh as much more (in score) as regular questions. I remember looking at the clock after I was done with all them and 35 mins had gone by. Not because they were terribly hard but because it's not 100% user friendly and the clock doesn't show in the simulation platform.

The good news is that all that sims that our friends here have mentioned are the same ones on the test but I can't imagine that most of these questions will be valid for much longer. It seems as though they change the test bank up a little more every month or every quarter that goes by. Good luck!

Just took the test and scored 857 our of 900. This dump was on point and 90 percent of the test. There were 7 sims as well.

I took the test today in Afghanistan and got a 847. 75% of the questions from the dump are on the test. The first 4 or 5 I had never seen before but after that most were exactly the way I remembered them. 70 questions total

Took the exam this morning and this dump was about 85% word for word. I scored 865 and I had five sims with a total of 70 questions.

Sim 4. Read scripts form Firewall, IDS, and Router. Which network device failed.
Sim 5. Secure WAP to connect to your domain RADIUS server.
Sim 6. Network diagram, What type of an attack is happening.
Sim 7.Five different Social Engineering scenarios. select from a dropdown list what is happening (ie. Phishing, Hoax, Pharming etc.)

Took my test 7/29/2013 and passed 891 out of 900. Every question was from this dump word for word.I studied it for about three weeks and cramed for two day before the test and had nothing but success.

Depending on which lot of questions you get you might not see many of the questions on the test. You do need to read the book just in case you get another bank of questions. Took the test and most of the questions were different. 7 Sims were as described previously. The test I took only had about 10 questions max from the dump.

I Passed today with a 830. I used this Dump, AnonTester 288q.vce Dump and Cristiano 442q.vce Dump, plus I read the book. You need to do more than one dump and you need to read the book to increase the chances of you answering a question that's not on these dumps correctly. I'd say that using all the bumps gave me about 80% of the questions word for word, but if you need to cram, just do this its about 60%/70%. Good luck. I got mine, you can get yours too. If you do what I did you will pass.

Taking the exam today and studied this VCE File for about 2 weeks and also read the derrill gibson book before but I failed before studying this File so hopefully this Dump gets me thru it
