Phew! Passed with with an 837. Tough test. There were only a handful of questions from this test bank and and another handful that were similar but there was a ton I had never seen before. You really need to know it to pass it IMO.

I have the same question as Monty. Can anyone vouch for this dump as a legitimate study file? I am taking the test next Thursday, I studied off of Eman's dump for my network+ and passed. However, I am seeing that the latest post for these dumps are a couple months old. Does security+ test not update as fast? I am not taking a class or anything, I am doing this self study, so I am trying to find the best possible study material available.

Thank you

Update:

Took my Sec+ exam today. Passed with an 866/100. Almost none of the questions had any of these answers. Using the passguide 595 included approximately 10-15 questions. Without studying the brain dumps I would have failed for sure though. They are great reference material and "prepare" you for the actual exam.

I'll be taking the Sec+ exam tomorrow. For the most part I've studied just these dumps, with a bit of Professor Messer videos, along with some googling of things I don't know for certain.

Right away I can say there are a few wrong answers to some of the questions.

An example from Exam C:

The BEST way to protect the confidentiality of sensitive data entered in a database table is to use:

A) Hashing - Provides data integrity
B) Stored Procedures
C) Encryption - Provides data confidentiality <-----
D) Transaction Logs

I'll let you all know either way tomorrow.

just to correct previous post

"Because the key pair is mathematically related, whatever is encrypted with a Public Key may only be decrypted by its corresponding Private Key and vice versa."
http://www.comodo.com/resources/small-business/digital-certificates2.php

1- confidentiality : sender encrypts with PUB_KEY_RECEIVER[msg]
2- authentication : sender encrypts with PRIV_KEY_SENDER[msg]

for EMAN
------------
Thanks for the precious advises about learning
As for the question : "A file has been encrypted with an employess private key."
----
By definition in symetric cryptography what 's encrypted by one key can be decrypted by the other.

so if u need:
1- integrity : sender encrypts with PUB_KEY_RECEIVER[msg]
2- confidentiality: sender encrypts with PRIV_KEY_SENDER[msg]

In the question we 're in situation 2
so I think that answer will be: A+E

This was the best one for me. A ton of these questions were on the exam I took yesterday. I used this, Darril Gibson's eBook and some SkillSoft courses. I have to say I got the best use out of this test than the other two, but I needed to learn the info which is why I bought Gibson's book. SkillSoft made me want jump out of a window. Anyways, passed yesterday with 882/900.

@Nard 4 read Darril Gibson's book and get his audio files.and you will be fine. Most important understand how the test questions are "WORDED" it will help you allot. Sometimes the questions are confusing but the clue would be certain words like "Active" "Passive" "Integrity" "Best". If you can pick-up these words on the question.its easy to pick the right answer. DG audio files are great.covers all the topics in 1 hour. Just keep listening to the audio files in your spare time. My 4 stage strategy .learn thru Reading "Books".Learn thru Seeing "Pref Messner Videos.Learn thru Hearing "DG Audio Files" Learn thru Doing "QA Dumps/ Lab Work" will = a Pass. I scored an 884. I learned these techniques thru my brother who is learning to be a Phycologist and how the brain stores long term information.hope it help. EMAN

I passed Saturday 829/900, I changed about 6 answers prior to submitting and based on my score they may have been right prior. I read Paul Downing's Security Plus Simplified. It was on 210 pages and straight to the point. I also used Cole.293 dump which about 60/70 % of my questions were exact match.

I just got done taking the test. All i can say is Security + is my "bitch" for 3 years. I passed. Study hard.questions are re-worded.like "Best" is now "Least". Your gona panic but stay focused.there will be questions that you will have no idea what the answer will be.these are probably beta questions. Halfway through you'll think you failed.but you will be surprise that you got a passing score. STUDY.if not you'll need some tissues after the test.

The BEST way to protect the confidentiality of sensitive data entered in a database table is to use: A. hashing. B. stored procedures. C. encryption. D. transaction logs. Answer: A

I think the answer should be encryption. (Confidentiality =Encryption where if the question said "Protect the integrity". the I can see Hashing

I am a little confused on this question.

A file has been encrypted with an employess private key. When the employee leaves the company. their account is deleted. Which of the following are the MOST likely outcomes (Select 2)
A. Recreate the user account to access the file
B. Use the recovery agent to decrypt the file
C. Use the root user account to decrypt the file
D. The data is not recoverable
E. Decrypt the file with PKI

Answer is B and D
Are they talking about a digital signature (encrypted with a private key)??
How are files encrypted ?? users Public Key.to encrypt .users Private key to decrypt. I guess whats trowing me for a loop is "A file has been encrypted with an employess private key" I though only a persons public keys can encrypt.unless its a digital signature where you will use a his Private key. I'm confused. If he encrypts with a Private key.how is it decrypted it matching Public key.and where is the public key stored HSM / TPM ?

@Nard4 .test is scheduled this coming Tuesday.I feel like throwing-up already. I read 3 books,2 study guides, Pref. Messners videos, review over 2,000 questions. I think I'm ready.I am starting to dream about public and private keys, I even check behind me and see if anyone is Shoulder Surfing.I think I'm ready.

@Marvin. Do not use these dumps as your only source.Dumps here are for added study material. They are not guaranteed to be on the exam, even the dumps you get on "Pay" sites are not guaranteed. Play it safe, read Darril Gibson's book and you will be fine.I would stay away from Diane Barrett's book."Too Over kill". Use the dumps here as a way to understand how the test questions are "WORDED" it will help you allot. Sometimes the questions are confusing but the clue would be certain words like "Active" "Passive" "Integrity" "Best". If you can pick-up these words on the question.its easy to pick the right answer. Good luck

I am seeing alot of comments about different dumps on here, I.E. Eman, Paulo and others, does a person need to download all of the dumps and use them as a guide? I am also using the Gibson book and Professor Messner videos.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

@ Eman thx for your advice. The question in regards to MSFT exams was because I took a course as network admin. where I am required to pass those certification (no choice LOL) e.i. A+. Network +, security +, Linux LX0 101, 102 and the previous mentioned MSFT for MCTP , I was just curious whether you were taking any of these exams , so you could recommend any dumps. Thanks, I am missing the second part of A+ practical but I heard they had changed the questions too? any advice on any other dumps? I passed my net+ and linux 101 and 102. thanks in advance :-)

@Mexicanwoman .I have not taken the test yet..I just completed my second security + book by Darril Gibson It was good reading. I would definitely recommend this book. I am still trying to iron out..PEAP,EAP,LEAP,and CHAP. This is the only section I am having some difficulties. I bought my voucher and I am in the process of scheduling my exam. "Test center is a school and they are having system issues this week, they said it might be up next week. On your question on what to take next..that depends on what field you want to get into.. only you can answer that question..If you want to be an M$ Admin then Infra.Serv.AD. In my opinion the industry is flooded with MS Admins and Cisco Eng. The "Growing" fields are IT Security and Virtualization. With the IT industry struggling with outsourcing and Cloud computing.I would bet the ranch that there will be allot of high paying jobs for IT Security in the future.
