hi can anybody help me to be well informed about this exam? i would like to take ccna security what is difference between them where i have to start, thanks in advance

I passed yesterday with an 858/900. Approximately 30% of this dump was valid. Passed today :-) studied this dump & watched "Professor Messer" videos in YouTube.

Just took the exam today, and passed it with 761. I only saw only about 5 - 8 questions out of this dump. I recommend learning the concepts of each questions, and not just memorizing them. Use other resources to study. I watched Professor Messer videos and that help me out a lot. The actual test questions are going to try to trick and really test if you know the materials.

Just passed the Security+ with a 869 score. I spent a total of 5-6 months preparing.
This is what I did:
Read CompTIA Security+ by Glen Clarke and did the practice questions.
Read Security+ Exam Cram and did the practice questions.
Performed the Exam Cram Practice questions (additional book with a few hundred of questions)
Read Darril Gibson’s Security+ book and did the practice questions.

Also did Professor Messor videos, read items on techexams.net, and used ProProfs materials too.
The questions in ExamCollections that I used were from this pool:

I only found maybe 5 questions from the ExamCollections bank within the CompTIA exam. My suggestion is to study the concepts and know what they mean. The questions are more difficult than you think and tries to test your knowledge of the actual material.

Passed today w/830. I only saw a handful of questions from this dump word for word. You need to understand the concepts for sure.

I used this dump, the media fire link for the labs, I read CompTIA Security+ SY0-301 Authorized Cert Guide, Deluxe Edition, Second Edition and did practice exams 200 questions, read Darril Gibson Study Guide and 100 practice questions and I also got another 100 questions when I purchased my voucher. This created variety and will prepare you for the exam imo.

I studied for about week and half maybe, but have experience, so It was just getting the terms down for me. Once you get the concepts down, you can think through the exam to be honest.

memorizing these questions won't help...you need to study.

Took the test yesterda and passed. There were only a few questions that I saw from this dump. I think it was very helpful to get a feel for the test and studying this will help you pass even if you don't get the questions. But you need to know the concepts as well. Ports, protocols, PKI, Crypography and tools.

I agree with Be-Will exam is still valid but I would say 50%. Many question are from this dump but the rest are not difficult to get right if you study this dump well and understand the Why for the answers. I done the exam today and pass with 810. Moving to CCNA and CCNA Security

Dump is 100 valid and useful. Just took the exam and passed with 840 only about 10 questions were on the exam, but This VCE was perfect due to the fact that it helped me understand the information. I had 5 Sims that were ether on the VCE or in the media fire site mentioned below. Also know yours ports and you should be fine

I pass with 755 make sure you know the ports and read the answer. But i am done on to CCNA

I just sat the jk0-018 exam using this dump 10/02/2014. Got 804. I'd say about 50 - 55 was in this dump word for word. The others were similar. Use common sense and study, you will get through.

I been studying this test for about month 1/2. I master about 300 to mabe 400 question. I take the test on the feb 22. I want to pass it so bad so I can move on to CCNA. Somebody let me know if I am ok

I took this test (JK0-018 - Same difference) and it was word from word. I got one new question and I knew the answer bc I am in the field. About 6 Sims up front. It's all from that one site everyone goes to. I didn't know the answer bc that site didn't give me the answer. So I just went with my knowledge and then passed Thank God!!!!!! Good luck to everyone who takes this test. It was so much easier in 2010.

This dump was perfect! I studied this along with 2013-12-27 by JustMe and 2013-11-06 by BigK. Took the test yesterday and got an 883! At least 90% spot on if not more. It's good to memorize these questions but also need to know the material, understand why it's the answer since some questions are worded a little different or to help you with the SIMS. Not sure if there are different versions of the test but if anyone says these dumps are not valid to me that means they didn't study enough.

Passed today with a lot of confidence after studying this dump and the other by BigK(667) along with Prof. Messer vids and OJT from my IT exp. Several questions were pretty close to word for word from these dumps (10-15) although you will still need to study concepts and ports to get the remainder of the questions.
7 sims right of the bat, 3 similar to # 2, 4, 5 from this site (http://www.mediafire.com/view/e353i193n3x71m2/Simulation+Questions.pptx). The others were drag and drop for port numbers and data volatility found within this and other dumps. Had some random off the wall questions but that is par for the course I think in these.

These dumps aren't everything but with some extra studying you should be able to pass pretty handily.

I passed today by the grace of God with a 761. This test is tough, you cannot depend solely on the dumps as I have done back in A+ and Network+, but you must understand the concepts of the question and understand what they mean. I'm no A+,Network+, and Security+ thanks be to God. Next up Windows 7

Still valid I passed my score was 815 the labs and questions were worded different and some questions were exactly the same. Just like some previous posters stated you need to know the concepts and you will be fine. If you use this one to study you'll be fine.

Took the exam and passed. While the sims with previous suggestions are dead on, there were very few (under 10) identical between this VCE and the first 1/3 of BigK664. This file is good for identifying which topics are important and helped a lot in learning the material but that's it.

Still valid...most questions were word for word, few new ones. All 6 sims were at the start of the exam.

Passed SYO-301 today with an 847. Had 2 SIMs that were very similar to the MediaFire Link ("Simulation Questions"), and maybe 5-10 questions that matched this VCE verbatim. The remaining SIMs and questions were different, but despite this, I was able to pass by using my existing knowledge and through studying this VCE.

I passed this exam today (Dec. 17th)!! I agree with Nicole. Dec. 14th. This dump is helpful, but you NEED TO KNOW THE CONCEPTS referred to in these exam questions.

Anonymous poster from the US, Nov.21 referred to the validity of questions 298-587. I didn't go through ALL the questions in the dump. Maybe I should have, but I knew the concepts.

I agree with vote4Carlos, Dec. 2. as far as the simulations.

I didn't use Prof. Messer because he doesn't go into enough depth. However, he's great for those who are just beginning to learn the concepts related to Security+.

Is this dump valid? I want to pass this Security + exam I failed it yesterday with a score of 611. I would really like to know from anyone which dumps are valid and which are not. Once I pass this the next time I take it, I will begin studying Windows 7 70-680

I passed the exam today with with 816 this is a 95% valid dump i got over 90% of the questions word by word and the others the concepts were the same.
studied this dump and the 8-16 by zico both are very similar and also studied the ppt with the simulations posted in one of the comments and you are golden.
also the version i took is the JK0-018 because i used a voucher but either version is the same the only difference is the voucher.

Took test today (Dec 17). Passed with a scored in the 800's. This is a valid dump. Like others stated, there were NOT a ton of questions that were word-for-word...but if you grasp the concept, you should be fine.

I''m taking the exam on Monday and have been going through this dump as well as other dumps. Thought I was ready for the exam until yesterday when I bought Darril Gibson's online practice exam questions as another tool to get ready. They are harder than the dumps and happy to know now that I'm not completely ready just yet. You can take the practice tests in test mode or training mode. The practice exams also provide explanations as to why the correct answers are correct and why the wrong answers are wrong. SO much more helpful/useful than dumps. You really need to understand the content so you are prepared to answer a question no matter how it is asked. Darril Gibson's book/website and Professor Messer's videos are the best tools to use. Dumps are useful, but only if you totally understand 100% of the Security+ material.

Read each summary chapter from the book and do the practices from each chapter CompTIA Security__ Get Certified Get Ahead - Gibson, Darril
make sure that you know all your ports numbers
A lot of question about encryption ( wireless , etc )
Second Week
Use this dump file and practice the 587 questions

This is still a valid dump. Took the exam this morning, 12/6, and passed with an 841. About half of the questions were identical and five of the six simulations I had were in the dump.

Just took the exam ( 883, dec 4). With regards to all who says this dump is invalid, that isn't totally true, some of the questions were word for word and some of the questions are of very similar concepts. Simulations were based on Volatility of data, Ports, Physical security types, firewall config which entail ports where I made error of tftp 69 being tcp rather than udp (that hurts), social engineering schemes. About 5 questions were totally unrelated to the exam which normally occurs with comptia.
Study materials included CBT nuggets, Professor Messrs, Trainsignal videos and books such Sybex 5th edition, Darril Gibson Study guide, Pearson Exam Cram 3rd edition. And 1000s of practice question from dumps provided here and in books. My advice try to gain a much knowledge as possible not just to pass exam but to be better at your job.

Can you guys that just took the test take a look at my other upload (JK0-018) for Security+ and tell me if the questions in that dump are closer to what you guyus saw on the test? It would be greatly appreciated as I am taking this test in a few days and that one I actually paid for from Real Exams.

I took the test today and got 867. Pleas study Darrell Gibson's Study guide and watch Professor Messor's youtube videos. Then the week before the exam practice the dumps because in my case there were only 5 - 10 questions from the dump. The dump helped me a lot because I knew the concept behind the questions. So once you know the concept behind the the course the questions will be easy.

@Iceman- This dump plus about 15 Prof. Messer videos on areas that I know I'm weak in ( Crypto, Network Security..) is all I needed to pass. I have about a year working experience as a systems administrator Tier1. Answer the questions on this dump, identify the ones you missed and focus on those areas. Do some reading online on areas you are weak in.

The Sims were identical to the the link posted on here. Not hard if you know your ports. Way too easy I thought.

Off the top of my head-
1) Unsecured computer lab - Cable locks for all 6
2) Office work place - safe, (dont remember what the other option is.
3) Datacenter - cctv, proximity, man trap, cipher lock
4) Offsite computer - Biometric for all 3

Dump. is. invalid. Maybe 10 Q's at most verbatim. Barely passed a few minutes ago. Know the concepts and know your ports. Thats it.

Just passed today DEC2 with an 830.. This dump is not valid to pass alone they are pulling from a bigger pool. only about 10 questions appeared word for word. Some were worded differently as someone else stated. The simulations were SPOT on. I had 5. First one was identify the following and choose from the drop down.. Retina Scan - and you choose Something you are, PIN Number - Something you know..blah blah.. second sim was drag and drop the appropriate item into the network, like safe, proximity badge, etc. into the diagram easy to figure out. You also have to configure a firewall KNOW YOUR PORTS because you will be asked to type them in in the question. 22, 69 and 53 were used in mines. Also questions 295 and 296 from the dump were 2 of the sims on the test EXACTLY. The questions in this dump were still great practice but you will need to study to pass. Hope this helps

I just uploaded a 300q RealExam in the JK0-018 section here. It actually has only 264 questions but while creating the vce I decided to copy the first 36q of exam A to Exam C so that there would be three 100q exams to practice with.
It cost me a pretty penny to get this exam and therefore will be the only vce here I will be studying.

PS, it might take a day or 2 before is hows up in the JK0-017 section.

About 25 new quesitions were new to me. I studied this dump for 3 days straight and took it. Watched a few Prof. Messer videos too. Sims were way too easy i thought. KNOW your PORTS!!

No. Unfortunately, the dump is not valid enough to pass the test. They must be pulling questions from a larger pool. You are going to have to know the concepts and definition of the answers. The questions were if this was the situation what does this describe? I only say maybe 5 to 10 questions matching. The simulations has question 287 and 289 on it. The other simulation are from the 6 showing in BIGK comments under mediafile. I barely passed. GOOD LUCK.

Took the test today and passed with a 798. 750 or better required. Out of the 597 questions on the PDF that I studied about 6 or 7 questions were word for word and the rest were different. Make sure that you have a good general knowledge of Security from the book is all I can say.

other then that, i had never seen the questions before.
the test was tough, i figured i failed,, but i passed..
pay attention to the wording..
with regards to other SIMS- first one was, types of attacks (whaling and so on), types of Security (cable locks mantrap and so on) and configure the firewall.. (no clue on this one - but read on GIBSON blog,... take guess, you get points for trying so i did.)

others have stated, their test was word for word.. your's might be as well.. am guessing it's all random.. or luck of the draw..

Just took the test, passed with 805. I was studying the Zico test until I read the comments that it was out of date. I found this one and studied it a few times. There were some questions on the test that were not in this version. Also, the PDF on the simulations was not helpful.

The Zico dump, is questions 1-297 in the new exam materials. Questions 298-587 are the new stuff. I purchased the study materials from testking for 125.00. the materials had 592 questions, i matched them with the materials in this dump, and the materials are the same. Passed with an 820. i had 5 sims, 69 multi-choice. repeat, the Zico dump is questions 1-297 of this/the new study materials, so if you dont want to memorize all 587 questions. Memorize questions 298-587, and then be very familiar with questions 1-297 for your own good.

Security+, 70-685, and ITIL certified using nothing but brain dumps.

OK guys...I took and past the test...there were very few questions that I seen from this dump on the exam. Question 295 and 296 was on the 1st 6 simulations. The other simulations are drag and drop and can be found under the comment section from BigK I think. I was honestly say...don't study the dump but study the answers. They must be pulling from a bigger pool of questions. Test questions were 75 and u have 90 mins to finish it.

This dump is 99% valid. Passed the test today. 95% of the questions I had were from questions 300-587, the other questions came from questions 1-299.

I also took the advice of another poster (IT Exam Killer) and used the simulations he posted which were all there, as well as a pdf of all the questions which I transferred to my phone and used while I moved around.

Just got back from the test. Scored 870/900. This dump is spot on with the questions. Very valid. The sims are not valid. Just had to wing it. Would like to thank all that put these dumps together. I would also recommend reading "Get Certified, Get Ahead" by Darrill Gibson. It will give you a good overview of all the related material.

Still valid...passed yesterday with an 870.

@Heman I need your feedback on the Sims question. I have completed all the questions except for the Network Diagram but not sure if my answers are all correct. excelent...this pd with 587 questions and the simulators...given in a seperate discusion realy help me to get 845 on last sunday and pass the exam....they are 100 % correct...- from srilanka

@JustMe I found all simulations I encountered on my exam! Someone posted it on Zico's dump.

Those are the actual 5 simulations given at the beginning of the exam, but then also one of the questions in the middle of the exam was like another simulation. It's drag and drop Port numbers with its corresponding protocols like HTTPS = Port 443, SCP = Port 22, LDAP = Port 389, TACACS = Port 49 (the one I missed), etc.

The first sim on the (ppt) link above is the hardest one of all. It displays to you a long Log File, and asks you to "determine which failed in the most secure manner." I still have no idea what the correct answer is but I guessed on it.

The second sim from the ppt is drag and drop BUT every time you select one type of attack from the dropdown, it becomes unavailable for the rest of the questions. So you can only choose one of each once. Very easy.

The third sim is pretty straight forward. I was only unsure if Antivirus also applies to Mobile Devices.

The fourth sim only requires you to know common port numbers like HTTPS (443) and SCP (22) and what Implicit Deny means (that everything is blocked except for that which you manually allow) so for all connections you enter, choose Permit instead of Deny because the firewall uses an Implicit Deny policy.

The fifth sim requires you to drag and drop the "Titles" (or security devices) into its correct slot. The number to the left of each option means how many times you can apply that specific security device to any given slot. So you would apply all 6 Cable Locks to all the 6 laptops only. All 3 Biometric scanners to all 3 Offsite computers. And the one Mantrap to the Datacenter.

Anyway, I just to give back to the community for having helped me. I know so much now, I could even make a YouTube video about this but I'm not sure (never made one before). @JustMe No, I don't think any of the dumps here have the new simulations I encountered on my exam. If you are really worried about them, I could tell you what were on them, later when I have time and if you want. There was only one which was really hard I was completely lost. You have to look at an actual log file.

This dump is 100% valid.
I had 70 multiple choice questions and ALL of them were from this dump.

I studied Darril Gibsons book "Get Certified Get Ahead" for 6 weeks but when I took this dump for practice I only scored 66% the first time. So even if you study official certification material you may not pass the test as many questions in my test were NOT covered in the book but thankfully were part of this dump.
Bottom line: Don't feel bad using exam dumps as they are sometimes simply necessary to pass the test despite having studied official exam material.

I took the test, and studied from the zico dump and there was only 10 questions on the test station that I had I studied over 300 questions and remember them low and behold they were not on the exam. some of the students in our class said there were about 50 and one student said about 75 when he told the test. so be prepare to study other notes and books and not rely on the dump because it may change on you. Good Luck.

@JustMe I passed! I got 827 (92% correct) :/ but this dump is valid 100%! :) Except for the simulations. There were SIX of them on mine and none of them were on the dump but most of them (4/6) were very very easy. I don't even know why I didn't do better, must have been that so many questions on this dump got me confused a bit. But that is fine because I am now A+, Network+, and Security+ certified!

Just Passed 865. using this, at least 90% word for word. Sims different though. thanks again!

Took this today. I studied the .pdf on Thursday and Friday (very lightly at that.) Did not study at all over the weekend I studied this dump yesterday and this morning. I passed with a 835/900 today.

A couple questions were worded a bit different. I know the question asking about a UNIX app connecting to a server on the dump was port 389. On the exam it was port 88.

The sims were totally different then this dump. I had 5 sims on my test.

I would say not quite 100% but enough you can pass easily. Good luck!

@ JUSTME, tnx 4 convertn da pdf 2 vce n divdn Qs in2 100 blocks, m tkn the exam nxt week.

@Bryan. This PDF was posted on one of the other pages, I converted it to a .vce and separated the questions in blocks of 100. I plan on using this to practice on for a week or two before I take the exam. Just thought I would get it up here for othrs to check out if they wanted.

It does seem just like the pdf file but the questions are not in the same order. And this is as valid as it gets according to the comments on the other dumps saying the pdf is totally valid.
