Phantom Q12
vSphere Storage I/O Control (SIOC) is a vSphere feature which manages ESXi device-queue depths, while AO is an HP 3PAR feature which moves data between storage tiers at scheduled intervals depending upon usage patterns. The two features operate at different layers, so there is no conflict between them. SIOC provides finer-grained control than Adaptive queue depththrottling, and the latter is not needed if SIOC is enabled.
Adaptive queue depth throttling is not needed if Storage I/O Controlis enabled.
Adaptive queue depth throttling is not compatible with Storage DRS.
If adaptive queue depth throttling is enabled, it is important to enable it for all hosts which are accessing the HP 3PAR
StoreServ Storage.
Please, share J67 dropbox link. It would be a great temp solution, waiting for the "official" release on this site.
Many thanks !
Does anyone can answer to new Phantom's question set?
Plz share the J67 Q&A to my email. I am scheduled quite soon.

recommendations. You suggest creating a dat center at a remote location and actively replicating data to it.
What are the implications of adding the third data center to the data network? (Select two)
A Jumbo Frames should be enabled
B The data network must support converged enhanced ethernet
C A new subnet must be added to interconnect the 3PAR arrays
D The data network must support Open Stack
E 10 GbE links are needed to interconnect to HP 3PAR StoreServ Arrays
Q7: You are reviewing a colleagues extended fabric design, which proposes an HP 1606 Extension SAN Switch. Which customer
requirement should lead you to choos an HP Multi Protocol Router blade for the B-Series as an alternative?
A Concerns around fabric stability
B Requirement to extend the fabric between sites
C Requirement to support dark fiber metro connectivity
D Need for up to 10 Gbs replication bandwidth
Q8: You propose an HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage solution to your customer. The customer wants to know what sets this solution apart
from the competition and why they should purchase it.
What are unique features of an HP 3PAR StoreServ compared to competitor block-based arrays? (Select two)
A Hardware implemented Thin Provisioning
B Wide-striping of data over many physical disks
C Linear performance scalability due to a custom ASIC
D Block storage functions facilitated by software emulation
E Controller functions based on a software implementation of RAID
Q3: Your customer wants to upgrade their existing HP 3PAR S-Class array. A competitor has suggested a non-HP storage array.
Your conversation with the customer focuses on the architectural enhancements within the new generation of HP 3PAR
StoreServ 7400 platforms.
Which enhancements should you focus on? (Select two)
A The 64-bit OS enables scalable headroom for performance and capacity
B Logical Disk regions have increased from 256 MB and are now 1 GB in size
C The tightly coupled cache-coherent clustering is built into the Gen4 ASIC
D Write cache mirroring is now implemented N+N across the 7x00 controllers
E New HP StoreServ 7x00 now supports 16Gb FibreChannel Speeds
Q4: A retail customer has primary data centers, distribution centersand retail stores. The retail locations are smaller sites that have
less than 2TB of data that needs to be highly available. Each location is consolidating between six and twelve physical servers into
a virtual cluster running on two ProLiant Gen8 servers.
The customer needs a low-cost storage solution that they can use at each retail location and can scale using similar technology for

A HP XP P9500
B HP StoreVirtual 4530
C HP EVA P6550
D HP 3PAR StoreServ 10000
Q1:You are designing an HP 3PAR StoreServ solution that replicates to a second HP 3PAR StoreServ array at the customer
secondary data center, which is 20 miles away. You determine that the round trip latency time between the sites is 5ms.
Which reolication solution should you recommend?
A Asynchronous Real Time
B Synchronous
C Synchronous Long Distance
D Asynchronous Periodic
Q2: Match the architecture type with the correct storage solution
• Monolithic
• Scale Up
• Grid
• Scale Out
• HP XP Storage
• HP StoreSure Storage
• HP StoreAll Storage
• HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage
Q3: Your customer wants to upgrade their existing HP 3PAR S-Class array. A competitor has suggested a non-HP storage array.
Your conversation with the customer focuses on the architectural enhancements within the new generation of HP 3PAR
StoreServ 7400 platforms.
Yes I agree, but I think you need 4.851Mbit on each direction, so the correct answer is B, although largely wasted bandwidth.
@ Fer: Yes - thats true - you are right.but:
do you agree with my Calculation?
10TB Data
0.5% ChangeRate = 51.2GB / day
ChangeRate per Hour = 2.133GB
ChangeRate per 30min = 1.066GB
1.066GB = 8.732Gbit
8732Mbit / 1800s = 4.851Mbit
So only this two answers are a possibility:
a. 5 Mb half-duplex
b. 10 Mb full-duplex
and i think the 10Mb fullduplex is to much.HP ask about the minimum bandwith.
BuddhaBear, I think you're not right.
In synchronous mode DisasterSite only sends the ACK too, but the diference with asynchronous mode is that the host has to wait for the answer.
You can configure 1-to-1 bi-directional remote copy either in synchronous or asynchronous periodic replication.
Anyway it's my opinion.
There is one question I remember:
Where is on 3PAR T10 Data Integrity (DIF) calculated?
Correct answer is on ASIC.
Fibre Channel drives in the HP P10000 3PAR Storage System are formatted with 520-byte blocks in
order to provide space to store a CRC Logical Block Guard as definedby the T10 Data Integrity
Feature(DIF)for each block. This value is computed by the HP 3PAR Gen4 ASIC before writing each
block, and is checked when a block is read. SATA does not support 520-byte blocks, so on Enterprise
SATA drives data blocks are logically grouped with an extra blockto store the CRC value
Guinnez , these questions/answers are the one i remember beside this page and had doubt about my answer. I have found in manuals/design guides/best practice and so on for correct answers.Exam has a lot of text with details to read and it is hard to remember all of the details especially for scenarios. I have lack of experience with StoreOnce technology, just from HP manuals/design guides/best practice so I know what to do next time :D
@ Fer: The Question was: .The replication between data centers is performed vie Ethernet/IP and it will be asynchronous. .
asynchronous is only one direction.PrimarySite to DisasterSite.the DisasterSite only sends the ACK.
AFAIK
For BuddhaBear:
About Herakle's Q1, I think replication is bidirectional, and there are 10TB data on each site, so 5Mb half-duplex is only enough for one site replication.
Mehikko, But you know the scenario 2 questions? Because from your score means that many answers are wrong.have you find new questions?
Thank you BuddhaBear. I forgot to convert GB to Gbit
Guys - Herakle's Nr. 1:
it's asynchronous - so 5Mb half-duplex it's enough.or did i make a mistake?
10TB Data
0.5% ChangeRate = 51.2GB / day
ChangeRate per Hour = 2.133GB
ChangeRate per 30min = 1.066GB
1.066GB = 8.732Gbit
8732Mbit / 1800s = 4.851Mbit

To Deck
Server-side dedupe - Unique Data form Multiple Servers is sent to the Catalyst Store
Source-side - Unique Data from one server (source) is sent to the Catalyst store
So you are right, here we can not use server side because some clients are 32 bit !!!!
Daulex:
Q1: I guess that you can install DA into the 32-bit and 64-bit systems, and install MA into the 64-bit systems and use some of these as Gateways at source side.
Q3: You're right!
Johnny questions
Deck
Q.2 I make mistake, it is A
Q.3 This in tricky one, let said it is HP 1606 switch, but question is about HP Multi-protocol Router Blade as alternative not about HP 1606.
HP site:
Agility - Hierarchical routing architectures for increased SAN scalability: With the FC Routing services of the HP MPR Blade, users can connect SAN islands
and share resources. The resulting modular design enables organization to overcome the scalability limits of individual SAN islands and achieve large
scalability in the order of 1000's of ports and 1000's of devices with outstanding operational stability.
Agility - Maintains fabric isolation for improved operational stability: By enabling SAN connectivity and resource sharing without the need to merge the SANs,
the HP MPR Blade maintains fabric isolation, and thus secures a stable solution and proper service levels. Combined with FCIP SAN extension services, the
router protects the SAN from WAN disturbances further improving operational stability.

Ivan questions:
1. D

3. C, E ???
My mistake, SN3000B, supports encryption but is not clearly stated in Product Bulletin. However, question doesnt says nothing about port licensing on switches, so it is more economical to buy 4 SN6000B switches with 48 ports licensed (minimum is 24), 2 per data center for redundancy then 8 SN3000B with 24 ports licensed (minimum is 12) switches, especially "unlikely to increase data to the continuing virtualisation of physical servers". Question gets make more sense if port count will be 96 ports (2x48).
2. a) four HP StoreFabric SN6000B Switches, because encryption is not standard on SN3000B per Product Bulletin and SN6000B has 48 ports. It says dual redundant fabric with 86 ports EVENLY per fabric on 2 locations, so 4x48 ports are enough.
Johnny posted some questions
i think answers might be:
1. c - CFO
2. c- .eight HP Storefabric SN3000B switches - of the others not enough ports are enabled by default and d doesnt support encryption.
I also have 3 questions for HP0-J67 that i need some help. Anyone?

Guys HP0-J67 is really hard. I failed 2nd time. Is really urgent to have the questions and answers. This exam is concentrated in scenarios and you need a lot of experience to pass it. There are 2 pools of questions. First time was one pool and the second time was a completely different pool. We need the questions and the answers.
Oups. Wanted to say : "B & E rather than B &C" .
I guess that answer to question 26 is B & C rather than B & E. Check the end of the given explanation : I understand you must re-create AO configuration from the configuration previously done in the external reporter . Not sure, but .
