Valid. I passed today with 866/1000.
No new Q but some answers in dumps are wrong.
@Aimen No worries, in that case you will have to contact Microsoft direct and let them know you MCP ID and then tell them the problem you have, they should be able to sort it out from there end. :)
I hope this helps. take care :)
Thank you Hulk.
I already did that . And they confirm there in no issue from there side.
@Aiman Khawaldeh (UAE) You will have to report this to the test center where you took the exam in. It is up to them to send the results to prometric.
It looks like they have not sent your results off to them. So best thing to go to them and let them know.
take care :)

http://blogs.technet.com/b/meamcs/archive/2012/03/14/system-center-orchestrator-2012-test-amp-start-runbooks.aspx
"Check In:After you finish your editing, you can Check In RunBook and so that all your changes will be committed. And also other users can then edit RunBook."

Exam C (Service Manager)

Correct answer should be "Add the service offering and the request offering to a Service Manager group, and then create a User Role"
http://blog.concurrency.com/infrastructure/scsmportalpermisions/
"select the Service Offerings and Requests that you want the group to view. Then click add again. If you add only Service Offerings and no Request Offerings nothing will show up. You mus add the Request Offerings you wish to display"
Valid 100% , just pass today 27/09 with 850

80% Valid -PASSED Today (20/09/2012) 735..Used ***Microsoft.BrainDump.70-246.v2012-07-25.by.AdinE.71q.vce**** ONLY , With this file alone you should able to score enough to pass. Good Luck.
Mình vừa pass ngày 18/09. Câu hỏi thì giống 100% trong bộ đề nhưng khả năng lời giải chưa chuẩn nên được 850 điểm.

@jacques..Yep I did used this dump only and I also made Mad Dogg changes - all the 44 qstns were from this dump. Like I said some of the answers aren't correct - otherwise I should have Totaled <>Go for it before they change it
MCSE did you just use this dump as your resource ???? did you also use mad dog's additions. i edited the orginal vce with mad dog's answers so i just want to confirm that its legit before i upload it
Dump valid in S.A....ther are some wrong answers though but i got 883 / 1000. No stress !!!!!
Okay, There are at least 2 questions relating to Orchestrator asking you to select the category you would add an activity from in order to monitor when a file gets added to a folder. The answer is wrong because this question is designed to make you think it would be the MONITORING category, but the Monitor Folder activity is actually located under the FILE MANAGEMENT category. Nice one microsoft. Hope you guys catch this comment to help raise your score.
Dump is valid. I scored 900. I followed same approach as Mad Dog mentioned here.
Dump is valid. Passed yesterday with a 900. I ONLY used this dump and nothing else.

Dump is Valid with 833 in Trinidad

i am here in cape town
yeah i agree @michael if i may ask when are you looking to write the test ????
Kintauro@ I think you right , i did check and compare to Q6 in the same dump the answer is A, FROM THE FIREWALL, ALLOW TCP 51909 FROM NETWORK1 TO NETWORK2.
thx, Still valid in KOREA, passed with 833 points.
Still valid in CANADA, passed with 800 points.
44 questions and some answer are in diffrent order!
Passed today with 883 points. All questions where from this dump and I went with the answers of Mad Dog.
I think this might be wrong:
Your company has a private cloud that is managed by using a System Center 2012 Operations Manager infrastructure.
The network contains two servers named Server1 and Server2 that run Windows Server 2008 R2.
The private cloud contains two servers. The servers are configured as shown in the following table.
SERVER 1 - AUDIT COLLECTION SERVICES FORWARDER - NETWORK1
SERVER 2 - AUDIT COLLECTION SERVICES COLLECTOR - NETWORK2
The network segments are separated by a firewall. All of the TCP ports from 1 to 1024 are allowed on the firewall.
You need to ensure that Server2 can send security events to Server1.
What should you do?
->Dump says C:
(From the firewall, allow TCP 51909 from Network2 to Network1)
-> I think: F
(From the firewall, allow TCP 51909 from Network1 to Network2)
'cause the forwarder needs to connect to the collector , not vice versa?
Please confirm?
valid! I got 850
@draven76..Hope you'l pass..let me know!
@Mad Dog
My exam is tomorrow so I'll try to check today the q/a you pointed out. By the way, if unsure of the answers, I'll go with yours and try to score as you! ;)
Exam B (Operations Manager)
Q2. VCE says B. a User Role, but I believe this should be A. a channel since a notification channel is required before Opsmgr can send SMS/IM/Email to any subscriber.
See also Q31
Q6&7
I believe this should be a monitor.. a SLO is used to measure availability of performance of an entire service not just one process/host
Q25
As said earlier, i also think that this should be D. a distributed application model
Exam C (Service Manager)
Q6&7
Answer in VCE is to Register the Orchestrator Integration Packs
Since the question is "What should you do from Service Manager"
and Integration Packs are registered in Orchestrator, I believe the answer to these questions should be something else.
I picked "Selet the sync folder for the Orchestrator Connector"
Q19
Only one selection can be made. This should be the 'Lists'
Exam F (Orchestrator)
Q3
I went for Check Out Runbook - Start from Runbook Tester - Provide Input parameters
But i believe this is wrong..can't tell you waht it should be though
These were the adjustments I made..and it brought me a 900 score
This means there are still errors in either the answers I did or the ones I did not change :)
Good luck!
@Mad Dog
Could you point out the correct q/a? Thanks
Valid in the Netherlands.
All questions came from this dump. Despite some errors in the VCE, I passed today with a 900 score (i did answer a few questions differently)

passed today in Germany with 783 points. 110 Minutes, 44 questions, no extra time for non-native speaker granted (exam was taken in English)?! had altogether 6 or 7 click or drag/drop scenarios which ruined my score ;-) On the other hand very high confidence in this file.

@HP/All:
There are 5 sections to the exam (based on the printout from the score) as follows:
1. Configure Data Center Process Automation (17%)
2. Deploy Resource Monitoring (20%)
3. Monitor Resources (23%)
4. Configure and Maintain Service Management (18%)
5. Manage Configuration and Protection (22%)
NOTE: This is the same section information as is available on the Microsoft website (https://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?id=70-246#tab2).
Can somebody who has succeeded the exam tell us from there score on which sibject(monitoring, automation,..) we need to focus on? In other words which answers were fault.
hi Mahmoud and Patryk, is this the dump you only used? Please advise the soonest thanks!
Pass today Thanks
Pass today :-) Thanks
@Jack: Yes all the questions were from this dump.
@ Adine. did you got all questions from the dump?.
Hi all,
Passed today with 866. Here's some details:
Duration: 110 minutes
# of Q: 44
Hi All,
I think the answer will be like this:
1-Start the runbook from runbook tester
2-provide the input parameters
3-check in the runbook
Because he didn't mention in the question that he checked In the Runbook, he just said that he created the Runbook and you can't create a Runbook while it is checked In, so it is already checked out.
any thoughts??
Just Pass with 850, dump is still valid. Thanks
We are Waiting Exam Result on Thursday . Hope you Succeed.
Hi guys,
I think monitor is probably the right answer, it looks like the SLO stuff can also monitor for cpu but it seems an odd way to do it and im not sure it would fulfil the alert requirement fully.
Exam on tuesday so will let you guys know how i get on.
Q: set the state of Server1 to critical if CPU utilization by App1 exceeds 80% for 5min.
Solution in current VCE: SLO
I think this needs to be monitor.
SLO is only to verify the service and run reports afterwards
Rules are used for collecting performance data or to run scripts and Monitors check on the health state of a component.
Besides that, monitors work different compared to rules. Monitors collect data from various sources and based on that information decide the health status of the monitored object (red, yellow or green).
@All: I just wanted to let you know that I had to re-schedule my exam for Thursday. I'll let you know how it goes.
@Pepper: Hey 'P', what do you think of the OpsMgr Q6 being changed from "a Service Level Objective (SLO)" to "a monitor"? Validate?
@Pepper: Thanks Pepper. I will make that change and re-upload (now as v 6.6). We'll run with that, until others contribute with updated questions, etc.
Here's the link to the updated VCE: http://www.slingfile.com/file/L4iq24d8Vp
Let me know of any other changes.
@AdinE I think you might be spot on about that question. I looked into it a bit more and I don't think you could create a diagram/dashboard for the information without making the DA model first. Found some good supporting info here:
http://blog.xplatxperts.com/xplat-xperts/2009/10/operations-manager-and-distributed-applications-part-2.html
@Pepper:
For the OpsMgr question (Exam B Q25), it says:
"You have a line-of-business web application named App1. App1 stores its information in a dedicated Microsoft SQL Server 2008 database.
You need to create a central diagram that contains the complete health information of App1.
You import the SQL, IIS, and Windows Server management packs.
What should you create NEXT?" (next being the key word here)
- To me, I would think that you FIRST need to create a Distributed Application model, before you could even start thinking about creating a Dashboard View. Just because the MPs were imported, and it discovers all the pieces, doesn't mean it will easily/automatically show "the complete health information of App1".
When I read "central diagram" I immediately think of a DA, since you add all the components that make up that application, which would roll-up to the health state of the application. So at first I would think the answer should be "a Distributed Application model", and then second "a Dashboard View."
I agree with you on the point about the SLD, as that is more of an SLA/SLO thing. Thoughts?
@AdinE I'm happy with the runbook answer unless anyone else thinks otherwise??
Q19 Exam C should be lists, page here confirms you could made a new incident classification for them to be attached to:
http://systemscenter.ru/scsm_help.en/html/418a72b4-e588-4b40-bd58-4d5089f0a195.htm
The Ops Mgr question I mentioned before is Q25 exam B.
@Pepper: If you are in agreement, I will change the answers for the Runbook Tester question. Also, if you could review TimeZone's answer to Q19 on Exam C, I'd appreciate that. I will review the answer in my lab to verify, and also look into the OpsMgr question (what exam/Q# was it?). Thanks for your contributions.
@Lord: Would you like to help us correct the errors in the dump?
There is several errors in the dump, but it's enough to pass the exam. I passed it today with 850
Looking into another question on Ops manager,
line-of-business web application named App1.
Need to create a central diagram that contains the complete health information of App1.
For me the Service Level Dashboard looks to be based more on SLO compliance rather than health (ie has it achieved 99% uptime etc). I'm think it's more likely we either create a new dashboard with a selection of custom health monitors. See the example here:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/momteam/archive/2011/09/27/introducing-operations-manager-2012-dashboards.aspx
However.. the line in the question "you need to create a central DIAGRAM that contains the complete health information of App1" pushes me down the diagram view answer. as you would literally create a new diagram showing the health status of the components as shown on this page:
http://technet.microsoft.com/library/hh230762.aspx#bkmk_dashboardviewtype
@Adine
Think I agree with your order for the runbook question. Found this MS pdf:
http://www.technicalwritingprofessional.com/images/Orch2012_RunbkGuidanc.pdf
1. In the Runbook Designer, open the runbook.
2. Click Runbook Tester.
3. If prompted, click Yes to check out the runbook.
4. To run through the runbook from beginning to end, without stopping click Run to
Breakpoint.
If you want to step through it one activity at a time, click Step.
5. View the Log pane to see the completion status of each activity. View the details and
published data from an activity by selecting it and clicking Show Details.
I had a go with a runbook in hyper-v and it did prompt me for input when I ran it in tester so that is a logical 3rd step. Like you say checking it back in is not required in the context of the question.
@TimeZone,@AdinE,@pepper and @All
Really Thanks for your cooperation, you are like a Candle for the others .
@Adin .. we waiting your exam feedback on Tuesday, I wish from all of my Heart to success . Thanks
@Timezone
It should be "List", don't know that this option was/is in the possible answer list.
http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/Microsoft-System-Center-Service-Manager-Part4.html
@TimeZone: Thanks for that. Were there any new questions? Are there any other changes I need to make to this dump? Thanks a lot. Based on your response, I think I will take the exam on Tuesday.
You can choose only one hot area in the exam for the Q19 exam C:
Your company has a private cloud that contains a System Center 2012 Service Manager Infrastructure.
The help desk uses Service Manager to manage and track incidents.
Service desk analysts report that they recieve many Windows 7-related incidents.
You need to create a classification for the Windows 7-related incidents.
What should you configure to create the classification?
To answer, select the appropriate configuration in the answer area.
I choosed Templates
@jack. All Questions where in this Dump 100% - The min. passing score is 700 pts.
@Pepper: I read both articles, and based on the answer selection for the question, I think it would be the following:
1. Start the runbook from the Runbook Tester.
2. Check out the runbook. (this is because the Runbook Tester should prompt you to check it out)
3. Provide the input parameters.
The question doesn't say anything about applying changes, or saving anything, just that "You need to verify that the runbook executes successfully."
Thoughts?
@ time zone. did you got all questions from the dump. can you tell whats the pass score for exam 700 or 800?.
Passed today with 850 ! I had few Q's that I answered different from the dump itself. I will provide you guys it later
sorry missed a link:
this post says about being prompted to check out after running the book: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh403809
I've been looking into the exam and I'm unsure about one of the questions in the orchestrator section. The ordered list about the runbook seems wrong as I see it. There is a brief outline here of the process:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/meamcs/archive/2012/03/14/system-center-orchestrator-2012-test-amp-start-runbooks.aspx
Despite that I still think it will require the "provide the input parameters" stage. The document above suggests the check out might be automatic as part of running the tester. The blog here has an example with input parameters and clearly shows that they are asked for as part of the test:
http://msandbu.wordpress.com/2012/06/29/orchestrator-2012/
This post suggests the "check out" process will be prompted for while running the test.
So for me the answer might be:
Start the runbook from runbook tester
provide the input parameters
check in the runbook
any thoughts??
