For Exam All Q62 or in Exam C Q6.
Question states You plan to deply a new line of business named app1. "..ensure AD can provide claims for App1".
Dump has D, E as answer. One poster has A, B, or C,D, E. And one poster says B, E. Can anyone confirm the correct answer?

Hello folks,
The latest Dump I corrected dated on (2013-02-19) it has all answers in which it suggested by many of you folks, I hope I didn't miss any, if so, I apologize.
I also read in the Esben dump he wrote that, he'll retake the exam and upload the correct answers.
So, I did what I can do and I wish good luck to everyone and sooner I am also going for it because I failed it at the exact day when it's switched and every one failed as well (may be just a little passed)
Then, once again, GOOD LUCK
I take no credit for it, all credit goes to every one shared and Esben.
Thanks folks.

@rdr - I totally agree about the way how MS formulates q's sometimes. What makes things slightly worse is that English is obviously not my mother's tongue, making me re-read those pesky questions all the time :-)

@r Thanks for the explaination. I was reading the answers as upgrade AND install the ipam feature on the DCs.

To me the answer is a little vague. Sometimes MS can get real specific with the answers or it can be vague, it should read updgrade the DCs and installl ipam on the file server. I don't like reading to much into the questions and answers, I know this how MS trips one up, just wanted to be sure.

The IPAM specs: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj878312.aspx#specifications

Item 2 mentions that only 2008 servers are supported to be manged by IPAM

@rdr - where does it mention that IPAM itself is installed on the DCs?

The target system receiving the IPAM installation is not mentioned it all, thus not implying it is installed on the DCs either.

For exam A Q 15. According to this article http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh831622.aspx you can not install the IPAM Feature on a Domain Controller. This means none of the DCs are the correct answer. To me you should select the file server to install IPAM on this server it is already server 2012, and the questions states with the least amount of effort.

Also from what I see there is no upgrade path from window server 2003, although the Forest Functional Level minimum is 2003.

Can anyone enlighten me as to why the answer is the windows 2003 servers?

@R I think you could be right on this one. You can use DISM to add/remove features and inject updates and service packs, but I don't think you can just add software packages without the use of MDT or SCCM.

Exam E, Q48. It is nonsense to use a Distribution Point group. This will not make sure that the images are downloaded from the nearest DP in each site. For that, SCCM 2012 has so called Boundary Groups (and to be more precise, only for Content routing). I am going for D. Secondary Site server.

Your thoughts?

Thanks SG. What about WDS (Exam E, Q51) - Only allows for Custom Drivers and Custom Images, no? I am pretty convinced that only MDT or SCCM can also add Software Packages, so imho the answer would be A+C, not B.

@DumDum I believe dcpromo on DC1 and DC2 will demote the domain controllers and transfer the operation roles. DC1 and DC2 is not being upgraded and will be replaced with new servers.

Anyone?

Hi folks,
Q:22,
DC1 and DC2 is already Domain C. therefore you are not going to do new installation so you can use dcpromo.exe. I did some research and find out that when you upgrade from Domain C. 2008 R2 to DC 2012 it would be through the Utilities is more accurate.
Please correct me if I am wrong and provide me with the right one and I'll be happy to upload it.
Thanks

For the DC3/DC4 replacement question (Exam A Q22), I would say it is:

1. Install AD DS Role
2. Run the Configuration Wizard
3. Run DCpromo on DC1 and DC2.

If you test this out on a Server 2012 box, once you install the ADDS role, you will need to run the configuration wizard to promo DC3/DC4 to a DC. Once you are done that, when you run dcpromo on DC1/DC2, it will automatically transfer the operations master roles to the next domain controller as it is demoted.

I need to reconsider what I just said. The article also mentions this:

"A client which does not match conditions of any policy, is leased an IP address from the rest of the IP address range of the scope (exclusive of all the policy IP address ranges) and given option values configured at the scope."

On other words, it won't prevent leases, while filtering does:

narglix - You are correct about Exam A, Q22.

1. Install AD DS role into DC3 and DC4
2. Transfer operation master role
3. Run dcpromo.exe into DC1 and DC2

not sure how you edit that answer though because it looks like it was done as a .jpg

In all exams

Q15 Awnser should be A => Invoke-IpamGpoProvisioning configures servers that will be managed and need to be done in every domain. Set-IpamConfiguration configures the IPAM server itself and does not need to be run in every domain only the IPAM server.

Explanation:
Invoke-IpamGpoProvisioning
Creates and links group policies in the specified domain for provisioning required access settings on the servers managed by the computer running the IP Address Management (IPAM) server. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj553805.aspx

Set-IpamConfiguration
Sets the configuration for the computer running the IP Address Management (IPAM) server, including the TCP port number over which the computer running the IPAM Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT) client connects with the computer running the IPAM server. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj590816.aspx

Hi Dumdum,

I don't think it's right about Exam A, Q22

Why are you using the ntdsutil and don't demote DC1 and DC2 ?

For me you just have to:

1. Install AD DS role into DC3 and DC4
2. Transfer operation master role
3. Run dcpromo.exe into DC1 and DC2
