Hi All,
Is in depth knowledge in powershell required for this 70-662 exam??please reply
Used AnotherInbox, Majd Salha, Fiber, and Binary and got over 930 in the UK a couple of weeks back.
I got fed up with reading duplicate questions with incorrect wording, so put all the exams above together in one file, with the duplicates removed. I also added 6 new questions.
I have uploaded this file and it is called: Microsoft.SurePass.70-662.v2012-07-19.by.OtherPeoples.393q.vce
Please use that one as I know it is 100% valid.
Good luck and a massive thanks to AnotherInbox, Majd Salha, Fiber, and Binary!!
I would also like to add, I felt at the time that I was presented with every question that was "in doubt" in these dumps.
What I mean by this is some of the questions between the dumps have different answers and I was unlucky enough to get them all.
I used what I believe was AnotherInbox's answers for all of them (but 1 I think).
Passed with 894 but read the self paced MS book, studied AnotherInBox, Fiber, Combined and Binary but atleast 1/3 of the questions I received where new or complete re-writes of old questions that I would class as "new".
I picked Moderate / middle for all the questions.
1 of the questions I had was a question about what to do on domain controllers when adding a new sub domain in an Exchange 2010 environment
1 of the questions was about the mail servers HELO was appearing as its internal FQDN and needed to be changed to mail.contoso.com
The other questions I approached by really understanding at what level they wanted the change made (Organization, Server, User) and then ruling our answers based on that requirement.
I find with alot of MS exam questions (especially the "trick" ones) its more to do with understanding the "scope" of the question and how to apply the answer within that scope.
I passed with 916/1000. Were many new questions. In all dumps many mistakes. Use your head and good luck :)
used anotherinbox, fiber, combined and binary
Raj, how did you prepare for exam....kindly suggest ?
dumps changed again 15 new questions 2 drag drop scored 717
I passed with 947/1000 score. About 5-6 questions were new. I referred to binary 181q, Fiber 342q & MajdSalha 420q and other short one 15q & 8q.
Beware Guys, Just attended the exam a while back. Many questions are new (10 - 15) and many others are modified too (20). I managed to pass barely. (referred to Binary, Fiber and Majd dumps). Many answers/questions are slightly changed to confuse. Please practice in labs/hands-on to tackle the tricky questions. All the best from Asia-Pacific !
I have chosen "Moderate" in the MS Survey for exchange skill level questions before the exam.
@anotherinbox same, i score above 900. new question same as yours. also 1 new question about OAB. how to make it available to certain user only . public folder management console or outlook.
@MRG, excellent job! What did you study?
I passed with 931/1000 today. I used Binary, AnotherInbox (obviously), Combined, and Fiber. My exam had 55 questions, but only 6 were new. Here is what I remember from them. Sorry I can't rememeber more, but there it is.
1) This question was about troubleshooting either outlook anywhere or autoconfigure. I was able to narrow it down to two possible answers:
test-outlookwebservices (for troubleshooting autodiscover)
test-webservicesconnectivity (for troubleshooting outlook anywhere)
2) something about Users vs user1. This is a macro vs. micro question. You do something for the servers, then you need to fix it for the group.
3) This question was about smtp services on the hub transport server. The server is resolving to server1.contoso, but should be responding to mail.contoso.com. You need to fix it. I can't remember the answers.
4&5) I had two questions on public folders that were a bit nasty. I don't remember the question or answers.
6) This question had to do with adding a new domain to an existing AD forest/Exchange Organization and what needs to happen with the Domain Controllers.
Good luck on passing!
Passed this morning with 947 :) Was second time lucky
Test E:
Q: You have an Exchange Server 2010 server named Server1. Server1 has a single mailbox database named DB1. You configure deleted items to be retained for 30 days. You need to ensure that each item that passes the retention period is removed daily between 2:00 and 6:00.
Answer: Modify the messaging records management (MRM) schedule for Server1.
I think it's not correct. Because in question says nothing about Retention policy. Configure deleted items to be retained for 30 days we can on database level, using this cmdlet:
Set-MailboxDatabase -Identity "DB1" -DeletedItemRetention 30.00:00:00
And after, configure maintenance of DB1 using cmdlet
Set-MailboxDatabase with -MaintenanceSchedule parameter.
Test D
Q: You have an Exchange Server 2010 SP1 organization that contains five servers. Internal network: MBX1,HUB1,HUB2. Perimeter network: EDGE1,EDGE2. You deploy a farm of application servers that send email messages to internet recipients. The application servers are configured to send the email messages throught the Hub Transport servers. You deploy a load balancing solution for the HT servers. You need ensure that only the application servers can relay email messages to internet recipients over SMTP.
Answer: Create a new Receive connector, create an Edge Transport rule, create a Hub transport rule.
Somebody can explain this? What conditions and actions choose in rules? Where create receive connector?
@IT-Shnik - nice once cheers for the input mate
@MRG
You need use only:
Set-OrganizationConfig -MailTipsExternalRecipientsTipsEnabled $true
then check:
Set-OrganizationConfig -MailTipsGroupMetricsEnabled $true.
After you do this, you don't need run Set-mailbox cmdlet. All users are notified that the recipients of a message include one or more external recipient.
Set-Mailbox with parameter -MailTip use for create custom mail tips.
What does everyone think about this question.
You have an Exchange Server 2010 Organization. You need to ensure that users in the organizaion are notified before they send email messages to external recipients. Which cmdlet should you run?
A: Set Mailbox
B: Set OrganizationConfig
C: Set TransportAgent
D: Set TransportConfig
What would everyone answer here as you eneed to enable MailTips using Set-OrganizationConfig but then to add a MailTip you need to use Set-Mailbox so which one are they asking for?????
@binary
What is the difference between your dumps (181q & 15q) & fiber's?
@AnotherInbox, @egg thank you for responses. It's really helped me:)
@egg, you are correct as to the POP3 vs. IMAP settings.
@IT-shnik: The correct answer to any Microsoft question is based upon the defaults and any changes specified by Microsoft in the actual question. Because nothing is explicitly stated as being changed in the question, it must be the POP3 settings that need to be changed. At least, I hope so. :)
@IT-shnik, you make a very good point about the OAB settings. And that kind of question is exactly how Microsoft tries to trick you. However, consider that you can change the setting of the OAB after you've deleted the public folders, and the possible answer gets even murkier. I like the original answer, but feel free to answer the question on the actual exam the way you decide. None of these answers are guaranteed to be accurate. They are a best guess based on the sources available, my own research, and decided upon through discussion with other test participants.
@ ITshnik - the only reason that I can think of is that POP3 is the default when you set up Windows Mail, but on the other hand IMAP is more generally used for business use.
@AnotherInbox thanks for respond. Sorry for my English )
I read this article. It describes how delete public folders. But question was: "What should you do first".
We all now, that outlook 2003 use "public folder distribution" and Outlook 2010 use "web-based distribution".
If in properties of OAB in Distribution tab set only "public folder distribution", after deleting all public folders, OAB distribution will not working in Outlook 2010 clients. Therefore, i think, we need check in Distribution tab set "web-based distribution".
Q: Your network contains an Exchange Server 2010 SP1 organization named contoso.com. The organization contains a Client Access server named Server1 and a domain controller named DC1. All client computers run WIndows 7. All users access their calendar and download their email messages by using Windows Mail. You need to modify the TCP port on the Exchnage server user by the Windows Mail clients.
A: run the Set-PopSettings cmdlet.
Why POPSettings? Windows mail supports IMAP as well. Therefore Set-ImapSettings also suitable.
@IT-shnik, I found the question. It is Exam A, Q2. To answer your question, you need to read the Technet article that is in the answer section of the question, which specifically states how to remove public folders.
@IT-shnik, you are asking about the incorrect question. When you run the exam, the VCE manager, by default, puts the questions in random order. Therefore, you need to look in the parenthesis to discover the correct exam/number of the question; it will show something like "(Exam E, Q1)". Otherwise, we have NO IDEA to which question you are referring.. unless you paste the WHOLE question to this Forum. Hope that helps!
@shrin-it Exam A Q25 is on Edge Transport Servers???
Test A Item 25 of 30
You need to remove all of the public folders from Ex1. What should you do first? author's response is C.
Why it can't be A? OAB for Outlook 2010 clients distributed through Web-Based Distribution unlike Outlook 2003 clients.
Anyone's thoughts on this question? I'm not sure ..
You work as the enterprise exchange administrator at ABC.com. The ABC.com network consists of a domain named ABC.com.
ABC.com has three Exchange Server 2007 mail servers named ABC-EX01, ABC-EX02 and ABC- EX03 that has the following implementation:
·ABC-EX01 has the Client Access role installed.
·ABC-EX02 has the Hub transports server role installed.
·ABC-EX03 has the Mailbox role installed.
·ABC-EX04 Exchange Server 2010 Client Access server running updated DNS records.
What action must you take to make sure of the availability of the mailboxes on ABC-EX03 if the employees utilize the Exchange ActiveSync after the instrallation of ABC-EX04?
A: You should use Basic authentication on Exchange ActiveSync and set up only Basic authentication on the RPC virtual directory.
B: You should use NTLM authentication on the RPC virtual directory.
C: You should use Microsoft Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol version 2 (MS-CHAP v2) on ABC-EX01.
D: You should use the anonymous setting in the authentication type for the Microsoft-Server- ActiveSync virtual directory on ABC-EX01.
The answer on one of the exams on here is showing as D, but looking ino it I can only find information on CAS Proxying/ redirection which states it shoud be Integrated Authentication so surely the answer should be B???

@guest, I don't have videos.
@mason, I take the test in one week.
@MRG, I feel your pain. As long as the wording of the question is ok on the actual exam, you should be able to get it. I would assume that it isn't an empty public folder database. As to Exam E Q26, I think you make a valid point. However, I'm not sure. Even after reading several technet articles and looking at Exchange 2010, I'm just not sure which answer is correct. Microsoft isn't clear enough in the Technet articles. So, I sent an e-mail to Microsoft asking about the discrepancy. Let's see if I can get an answer.
I hate the wording of some of these questions. The question below could be 2 answersn depending on the circumstance. You can't run Remove-PublicFolderDatabase if there are folders under the database still, if there are then you need to run Remove-PublicFolder to remove the folders first. Do you assume that the database is empty? How do you all inteerpret the question below?
You have an Exchange 2010 SP1, server 1 holds the public folder database, which command do you use first to remove the public folder database?
Set-MailboxDatabase
Remove-PublicFolder
Remove-PublicFolderDatabase
Get-MailboxDatabase
Hi,
Does anybody have trainsignal videos dvd they can share here?
Exam E Q26 - Each Item that passes retention period must be removed I would say it's modify the maintenance schedule on DB1, tricky as you could use MRM schedule also but looking at this technet article http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123971.aspx I'm going more on the maintenance schedule. What's people's thoughts?
@anotherinbox, you passed the exam already?
@MRG, you are absolutely correct. The "Host (A)" answer should have been re-worded to "Alias canonical name (CNAME)". And there should be another reference: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff601760.aspx.
I missed those from my notes. My bad. If there are a lot of updates, I'll post another version with the correction. Please send me an e-mail at ads2000@live.com and I'll make appropriate updates. Thanks!
@AnotherInbox- Watcha mate in this dump Exam A Q10 it still shows as being TXT and A for what DNS records do you need to support federated delegation. It is only a TXT record isn't it and not a TXT and A record?
passed to day 804. half the questions where from, this one. and a few new. I wish I could remember them.
@binary, Thanks! I appreciate that!
Hi Anotherinbox, I have went through all the questions, good job in correcting them. well done.
When a question doesn't specify SP1, it is referring to RTM. Therefore, the Managed Folder Assistant is schedule-based in this question.
exam E, question 26 :
You have an Exchange Server 2010 server named Server1. Server1 has a single mailbox database named DB1. You configure deleted items to be retained for 30 days.
You need to ensure that each item that passes the retention period is removed daily between 2:00 and 6:00.
What should you do?
A: Run the Set-RetentionPolicy cmdlet.
B: Run the Start-ManagedFolderAssistant cmdlet.
C: Modify the maintenance schedule for DB1.
D: Modify the messaging records management (MRM) schedule for Server1.
Not sure which one is correct, because :
Exchange 2010 SP1 In Exchange 2010 SP1, the Managed Folder Assistant is a throttle-based assistant. Throttle-based assistants are always running and don't need to be scheduled. The system resources they can consume are throttled. You can configure the Managed Folder Assistant to process all mailboxes on a Mailbox server within a certain period (known as a work cycle).
Exchange 2010 RTM In Exchange 2010 RTM, the Managed Folder Assistant is a schedule-based assistant. Schedule-based assistants run based on the schedule specified for the assistant.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123958.aspx
The question did not mention whether it is sp1 or RTM
