@Cgill :
Content index ==> crawl
crawler impact rules ==> when you want to avoid crawled to impact during business hours (limit the sites indexing, thus, limit the server workload)
Solution = B
Manage Crawl Rules : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee792871.aspx
Manage crawler impact rules (explanation for Shp2007, but still valid for Shp 2010) : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc261720(office.12).aspx
Can anyone post the answer for this?
You have a SharePoint Server 2010 Service Pack 1 (SP1) server farm.
You have a front-end Web server and an application server.
You discover that when the application server indexes content, it takes a long time for the front-
end Web server to respond to the user requests.
You need to reduce the number of items that the application server can index simultaneously.
The solution must ensure that all content is indexed.
What should you configure?
A. crawler impact rules
B. crawl rules
C. host distribution rules
D. search scopes
@Cgill : zerocool (splitted version of slayer) seems to have more accurate answers.
Also, the explanations can be checked too. (best practice : check each reply, and validate on your SharePoint 2010 Server)
There are lots of question which have different answers than zerocool which is more sccrurate?
Passed with 900+ score today.
