Well it would be nice if someone could provide a more up to date braindump -- those 25 questions some certificate, some group policy. I have worked in the field for a while-- no one uses MS certificates LOL but i guess you need them for the test. Helio?, maybe you could supply a link for that and post ques/answers? Passed the exam 70-640 with a score of 800 on 28th August 2010 in Nigeria. About 50 of the total 75 exam questions in the dump are still valid. The rest 25 questions are new questions. You should study your Certificate services well becaue a lot of the questions came from there. There was only one drag and drop question, no simulations, Good luck to all.

Passed in the UK today with 965/1000.

I can categorically state that those new questions are not graded because some of them are bloody hard and many of my answers to these questions were guesses.

Djoin.exe as mentioned earlier is a red herring. The question is about Install From Media. Djoin is just one of the incorrect answers.

There's 2 questions about Powershell, one of which is about the AD Recycle Bin. There are three very obviously wrong answers. The other question is about resetting passwords using Powershell so research that.

The majority of the new questons were reworded versions of ones in this dump but they just appear to be clearer and more concise. If you're simply remembering answers to the questions you'll get them wrong. If you're paying attention to the questions you're studying in these dumps then you'll get them right.

I studied using CBT Nuggets, Trainsignal and Fischera and Gopu. You won't need any dumps beyond these two until the new questions do become graded.

Same thing happened with me. Imagine just one true Q and I pass!

I don't doubt them coz it seems that Microsoft is going to change the exam version.

Passed today. I used microsoft press 70-640 book. When you buy the book you get 4 months free trial version of server 2008. I installed that on "sun virtuelbox", it works perfect. Install and try for real while you are studing.
There are 75 question and 165 minutes to finish the test. 40-45 question from this dump, rest of them completely new. I'm not sure which on count, but I didn't take a chance, fill all the question, and dobbelcheck. I used all the time.
Use exclude methode to answer the rest. If you know your stuff, you can almost always exclude 2 obviously wrong answers.
Some of the question are: 1. reset gpo default domain controller policy, use "Dcgpofix.exe" 2. Verify that computer with windows 7 can autoenrollment certifikat. use "certutil.exe" . 3. Collector and source computer for event. Remember the computer who receive event from other computer are "collector", the other computer is source. 4. Server with Federation service and CA. Set up with account store, use account partner.5. how can you check if replication is working, use "dfsrdiag.exe" 6. Dc fail therefore Site replication fail. Change replication settings, use "NTDS setting" in AD sites and services. 7. Audit policy, audit registry changes, use "object access audit".

Passed today in the UK with a 900 score. Lots of questions are in this and the Helio dumps. There was also lots of new questions, most of which were more general AD questions and not necessarily specific to R2. I think if you use these dumps to find your weak areas, set up a virtual 2008 network, watch the CBT nuggets and read a bit you will be fine. Not sure how the scores are calculated to be honest. Could be the 1st 40 questions? Could be 40 randomly picked questions from the 75? Could be all of them? None the wiser..

Took the exam today in USA and passed with a 780. Lots of new questions that i havn't seen from the dumps i've used. From looking at my score it seems to me that they weren't all from the unscored stuff.

If you get all 25 of the new questions wrong;

a) You're unlucky. Statistically you should get 25% right just by guessing.
b) You shouldn't be taking the exams. Using braindumps is about ensuring success - not being your only form of study.

To my understanding, no, the new questions DO NOT count towards your final test score. They are probably questions that Microsoft are using as test questions to see which one's they should keep for the next 640 they push out. They probably also use it to see how many people are actually using braindumps. What are the chances of everyone getting the first 50 right and the next 25 wrong without cheating? Slim to none! Hopefully (but doubtfully) most people actually know the subject are using this as a guide.

It's 75 questions and like 3.5 hours to take the new exam. Brain dump still valid in US!

I'm scared $#itless!!! I passed with a perfect score and I doubt I got all of the new questions that didn't count correct. Meaning I prolly raised a red flag with Microsoft! Don't follow my steps. Miss a few on purpose unless you wanna be scared like me! Exam acceptance policy says they can revoke your cert if they think you braindumped with no refund!

No Bill. What I'm saying is, Microsoft is purposefully adding questions that people may or may not have studied for, in an attempt to gauge how much if those questions are suitable for adding to the exam. They do it very regularly.

All I'm saying is don't panic. I haven't seen the failure rate increasing. I think you're panicing a little in light of anecdotal evidence and that's understandable. I'm just saying relax a little.

If you get 25 questions on Powershell you'd have every right to go back to Microsoft and ask why you got questions on a subject not covered in the exam coursework or the study materials and isn't on their list of assessment criteria.

Most of the comments I've read seem to say that a lot of the new questions are the same as the old ones with the word Vista replaced by Windows 7 or 2008 replaced with 2008 R2. The features being tested themselves seem to be relevant to both OS.

Mee2 - thanks for the response.do you remember by chance what type of PowerShell questions were actually on the exam? There are thousands, its a huge area. what did you study that helped you?`

RS1 - so what you are saying is, microsoft is purposefully adding questions that people will have not studied for, to gauge how much they know, without telling anyone what they are doing? so when you come out of the exam, you can say "wow, i didn't know a lot of that.i'm an idiot"? 25 questions is a lot of supposed ungraded questions, don't you think? and if they didn't realy count, then why is the number of failures on this exam increasing?

Bill, my apologies bro. I went back and read your post. I totally missed the point.. Weird how they added so many questions.. seems like the 70-642 has added questions now. I bet the rest will also.. I'm definitely studying more for those.. I did pass the 640 with a 920 so I lucked out cause I only read about 2hrs worth of AD Powershell commands the day before the test..

Did it today in Spain, passed with 900/1000.

75 questions, 41 from this dump (3 drag/and/drop q.) the rest were not included in any dump. It was not as difficult as i thought.

As I mentioned these are most likely tester questions to see how well people do. They are unlikely to count to the actual exam result. Microsoft are just fishing to see if they can add this to the test.

The fact is that R2 isn't in the Microsoft Press Books, it's not on the official course materials, it's not in the E-Learning and it's not listed on the certification assessments on Microsofts MCITP site. If you were to fail an exam based on new features which aren't covered in the study materials they'd be on very shaky ground hence why they don't do it.

They put the questions in to gauge them and before they begin counting them towards the actual score they must update the coursework.

Mee2 - my comment was in response to RS1, who stated that MS cannot add content to an exam. AD Recycle Bin and djoin.exe are definitely adding subject matter to an exam. Your response is off-target.

Bill, people are posting that to give the rest an idea what the new questions cover.. would you just rather not have anything said? Then your post would be asking for hints.. Obviously, we do not have photographic memories to write down the new questions for YOU.. Use the dumps as guides, or to help with about 45-50 questions then actually learn something on your own.. I did that and passed with a 920 today.. and I have zero experience with Server 2008 AD.. I reviewed AD Powershell commands and some CA stuff I found online..

According to comment july-13 th aug 2010 this dump is valid but after that added 25 new Q.please help me to findout this questions or which dump is added this new Q.i am planning to take the exam within this month.

I wouldn't be too concerned about this. Microsoft has a habit of adding draft questions to the test. They often don't count towards the actual score.

Then, when the sample groups figures come in they look at those questions to see what percentage of the answers are right and which are added to the test for the future.

It's natural that they'll replace Vista with Windows 7 in their text. Just remember..they cannot add subject material to the tests.

WOW! 75 questions? I took this test in USA Thursday, 08/12/2010. 40 questions, all from this dump, scored 900, took just a few minutes to do the exam. It was a blazin' cakewalk!

i passed today with score 940 in egypt , the exam was 75 questions. 25q new & out of this dump.

Took the test on Friday the 13th (TX, USA) and scored a 760. This is the lowest I have ever scored on a MS exam and I have taken a ton of them dating back to MCSE NT. There were 75 questions on the exam and only about 40-45 were from these the dumps that others have recommended (v2010-06-30 by Gopu 114q and v2010-06-16 by Fichera 146q). There were many references to R2 and PowerShell that had not been around when these original "Pass4sure" (who no longer makes Microsoft study exams "officially") and other test materials were developed. I strongly suggest if you don't know the product well (and I thought I did) to wait until an updated VCE is created that touches base more on the new 75 questions. Not trying to scare anyone, just trying to be on the level with my colleagues that are proven IT professionals but are just trying to get the proverbial "Check in the box" and get certified.
