Failed. Took exam today in the US. There was about 30 new questions on it. I studied all 404 questions on here and only seen about 20 of them.

Although the area I struggled with was VPN, as in the exam the selection options and wording was slightly different, which was to be expected. So heads up for that.

What I do know is that the 3 exams will not end by Jan 31, 2014. Only the 2 certification (MCTS & MCITP) are being retired by Jan 2014. The 3 exams (680. 685 & 686) are still valid after Jan 2014 since this are still required to get your MCSA - Windows 7 certification (680 + any of the 2 exams).

To Jose yes the 680,685,686 may end at the end of January, but if you pass all 3 you can take a single test to have your MCSA on 2012 server, and two more tests after that your MCSE on 2012 server. There is still plenty of time to pass those 3 exams and the one to switch you over to 2012 that is what I am doing, and your MCITP will remain valid until companies want to change from Windows 7 and that will be a while as no one seems happy with Windows 8. I have a feeling these certs will hold wait for a long time. I still post my MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MCDBA from 2000 server on my resume, and to anyone in the field it is still a big deal to get that far. Companies like the letters, and in most cases if they want you to have the new certs they will pay for you to take your exams true story as they get to write off the cost of the exam anyways.

This shows one test to MCSA if you have passed the 680,685,686 than you take the 70-417 for MCSA on 2012 server than 2 more tests to MCSE on 2012 server. I just want everyone to know these tests still hold a lot of weight and you have plenty of time to complete these certifications.

I just passed the 70-680 last Monday and the 70-685 today. I can't tell you how grateful I am for the study guide that you provided. Anyone out there wondering if this test will get you the end result that you are looking for look no further. I was using Testking, Transcender, Actualtests and none of them gave me the results that this gave me. I don't know who you are Gill Beast, but thank you so much. Retiring this certification on January 31, 2014 means that nobody will be able to earn this certification anymore. All those who took and passed the exam before Jan 31 are eligible for MCTS certification. In short, MCTS and MCITP will be no longer available to be acquire. Your certification will still be valid while the technology still exist however you will need to upgrade it also everytime a new technology emerges.

I just finish the exam and passed with a good score. I now confirmed that there are new questions which is around 10 and my advice is please not just study this dump and memorize it but you should also know the technology. Also note that the answers are not in the same order in this dump compare to the real exam.

J-Max, in reference to MaxBox Q15, the answer is not G. If you read the TechNet article, the Netsh branchcache set service mode=HOSTEDSERVER clientauthentication=NONE is used on the BranchCache Server and not the Clients as the question asks for configuring the Client computers. Also, the clientauthentication=NONE is used when the server and clients are not connected to an AD Domain.

Passed with 900. I counted 14 new questions. A couple of them were regarding VHD and dual booting configurations. I used Labsim Testout Training Course with this dump to pass. My advice would be to know the technology and tools in windows 7. If you rely on memory you have a good chance of failing. I wish you all the best of luck. I am now moving on to upgrading to Server 2012 cert.

Do not be confused about the question and the correct answer for it is to upgrade first the xp sp3 to vista sp2 and then upgrade to windows 7. The question is about upgrading the XP to Win 7 and not clean install or install Win 7. Please remember that you cannot directly upgrade XP to Win 7.

Another one that seems like a bit of a discrepancy - Q64 from MSKiller regarding upgrading to win 7 in least amount of time. The correct answer suggests upgrading from win xpsp3 to win vista sp2 then upgrading to win 7. Surely this can't be right given that one of the options is to run setup.exe for win 7 from the desktop of win xp sp3? Anyone? If you can help it would be great as my exam is in Saturday.

It says the correct answer is H but after referring back to literature and technet the answer should be G. Can anyone corroborate? Took the exam today in The Netherlands, passed, but just barely. Roughly 60% of the questions came from the dump, rest was new.

I took the exam after studying my college course work and failed with a 620, also in the server I put that I had 3+ years of experience.. so then I looked at this dump for like 3 days, I only got to study the first 200 questions from the dump and I retook the test, I put on the survey that I had very little experience with windows 7 and I passed with a 900. I wanna say that about 80% of the questions were from the 200 that I studied on this dump. It is still a valid dump! I took it in Hawaii.

Reporting in from the US. Passed with a 750 but for sure thought I had failed. Dump is starting to tweak out of it's validity. There were probably close to 15 questions or more not within the dump. All the answer choices (orderwise) were not in the same order, if that throws you off. I was in a paid for week prep class of twenty, four out of the twenty passed. All with an IT background. Test is no joke, choices A-N insane. The dump is good study material regardless but a more new dump would be more convenient. Use what you got mates, cheers!

This answer is wrong. Bcdedit.exe is not a file you can edit. It is the command utility for editing the file. The FILE you can edit is Boot.ini.
Therefore, the answer should be A) Boot.ini

Nope.. but you can order that printed copy of your certiffy from MCP site. This printed copy is not for free.. so i sugest just print from generated pdf file :) or if you need some special then print it in some art studio on some extra paper..

I am going in for the first time, thats why not focusing much becuase i signed up for second shot. so this is kind of experiance to see how everything works. but if i could pass on first try - that would be awesome, i have over 12 years of experiance and am a system administration in a company - problem is i never got the certifications, so now thinking would be good time to have it as i have some downtime.

You should study all 404 questions. You should give yourself a good 2 weeks to study all questions. Understand the answers, understand why another answer is wrong. You should test yourself with a random 50 questions across all 404 questions - if you're only just passing, then you need to study more. You should be getting over 900 everytime.

Passed with an 840. Still valid in the US although a few new questions about 35 of my questions were directly from this dump. Other 15 questions were basic knowledge. Just a quick tip. If you get 15 questions wrong you will score below 700 so keep track or 100% right answers and wild guesses.

Studied all 404 questions and memorized the answers. I suggest that you do a random 50 questions from the entire 404 questions for 2 weeks straight and get at least a 900 on the practice before you take it.

There was also a question about if you installed Microsoft Office on Windows 7 how do you set it to download updates automatically. The answer was thorough Windows Updates and select "Give me updates for Microsoft products..."

Some questions go in depth. Such as the one where you have to configure the client for a 2 factor authentication when securing the VPN connection. This guide shows you a picture to just select "EAP" but when you take the test they actually give you the ability to configure anything inside that tab because all radio boxes are selectable. Don't get confused.

Cheers mate. My exam is on the 18th May and I've been going through the questions since last week along with ploughing through the D Poulton book and Prof Messer videos. Seems like this is the combination of choice for most people :)

@J-Max - I was looking at these questions a good 9/10 days before the exam. I looked at 50-100 a day and reviewed them the next day, before moving onto the next.

That is interesting, and it makes a lot of sense to me. So most or all here except me knew it is cheating? But the mindset is that it's alright to cheat as long as you do real studying as well, correct? I studied a couple books, took 2 classes, and watched the Professor Messer videos as well. He's great, eh?? :)

That's a sneaky question when you think about it. You can't upgrade WinXP directly to 7 and in reality you wouldn't do that. You'd do a wipe and load with Easy Transfer. But then MS do try and trip you up.

@James. I think you'd be the only one here who didn't realise using memory dumps is considered cheating. I know they are, but I use them as a study aid - I went on a 70-680 tutor led course, I read the entire Don Poulton book, watched all the Messer videos and these tests revealed my weak spots, which I then go back and study. I also investigate options that I'd never heard of.

Agreed, starting over.
If you compare this question with Buzz Q59, the difference is evident.
Buzz Q59 talks about a clean installation, so the answer is custom installation.
MSKiller Q64 talks about an upgrade, so the answer is Upgrade to Vista and so on.

MSkiller Q64, valid answer is A not D.

becoz A:
1-In question they are asking to UPGRADE the OS(means need to keep user profiles and files save). while in Custom Advance option u wil lost everything.
2- According to Ms you can not upgrade winXP to win7.

not D becoz:
1- No need to upgrade to wnidwos XP sp3 becoz u r going to do clean installation(which is not require condition)

Guys, I mainly posted to make sure everyone is aware that Microsoft considers this cheating, and has a policy against it. Therefore it's cheating. And I just want everyone to be aware of this. I wasn't aware of this, and that's why I used it. Now I feel like a cheater, and I don't want anyone to have to go through that either. I am taking it easy. :D

James: What is the issue here ? I don't rely on the dump only. I know my stuff and using this dump that does not mean all the Questions are same as the real exam. As I said that I do my labs ebook, CBT etc.

As Randy mentioned to you: Why complain when you have used this dump !!

You hope it explains what? Why it's OK to use these dumps when Microsoft tells you that they consider it cheating? No sorry, it doesn't do a good job of explaining or justifying the use of dumps in the face of a policy against it. Thanks for trying.

guys even if you know questions from dumps take your time to answer your questions, if you take 2minutes and you have answer 3 questions they can see that you have dumps,remember that exam time is 1.30,and if you take 25 to 35
minutes there is a problems

@James: To be honest..all vendors have got their dumps available on the market, not just Microsoft ! The truth is everybody in here is making money.

I have studied the book + CBT N and without the practice test dump, it would be difficult.

I think you need to know your labs and not rely only on dumps.

FYI folks,

I JUST found out the day after I passed my exam that not only does Microsoft consider using brain dumps to be cheating, but it's also a crime, and you can get banned from Microsoft tests and have your certs revoked if they find out you've been using them. They also now have software that can analyze your test and detect if you've been using brain dumps.

So anyone who has a problem with cheating and doesn't want to risk being banned from Microsoft. I'd suggest you don't use these dumps anymore.

@Gill - I did wonder about those two questions.
The only difference I can see is that one is a folder and one is a file, however, the process is exactly the same and the only difference is the language used. 'Restore point' seems to be a better way of expressing. I've corrected my dump using designer for the two questions and this one. I can upload it if you like.

Approved by a nice guy out of your country, who had this question in the exam and scored 100 % in Section 8 - Backup and recovery, the answers are:

1. Open backup and restore.
2. Restore the folder from the most recent backup.

I'm not sure about that, I think this guy confused something.
I tend to answer both questions the same. So my answers for Q42 are:

1. Open Windows Explorer.
2. Open the folder properties and select the Previous Version tab.
3. Restore the folder from the most recent restore point.

MaxBox Q71
Quite clear:

1. Open Windows Explorer.
2. Open the log file properties and select the Previous Version tab.
3. Restore the file from the most recent restore point.

The %10 at the end of the correct answer is the interface that the ping is coming FROM, which is required when pinging using IPv6. So Computer 1 pings Computer 2 using Computer 2's IP (Fe80::44df:1b68) and putting Computer 1's interface ID at the end (%10). Therefore, Answer B is correct.

Exam C Q9

Mr. Gill, i wana ask one this in this question answer should be A because we are pinging from Computer 1 to Computer 2 but in your dumps answer is B that is mean we are trying too ping from Computer 2 to Computer 1. Can you advice in this. Thanks.

MSKiller Q64. Quite frankly, I'd do option D. This is way easier than installing Vista and then upgrading to 7. Perhaps the question doesn't have enough information like 'you want to try to keep settings, which path would you opt for' - then I'd be looking at the Vista option. Once again, the MSKiller questions have some strange answers.
