Dump not Valid! Maybe 60% Valid. New Questions asked of me consisted of a Quorum question that had 5 nodes and which would be the best Quorum Configuration. Since it was an Odd number above 3 this should be Node Majority. John, I agree with your changes. Q48 ... transactional replication is the only option that would allow adding indexes to the db. You can't make changes to AG, mirroring or log shipping secondaries.

A agree with John in question 60 (Exam A). "doesn't have any column that refers to anything to do with blocking" and don't exist sessionid in table sys.dm_exec_sessions. The column that exists is the session_id.

Svetla - I think Q37 is wrong and should be COPY ONLY but Q38 should be Bulk because it says to import data in the minimum amount of time.

As for my concerns:
Q60 Exam A should be A (EXEC sp_who 60) because that SP has a blocking column while the sys.dm_exec_sessions DMV doesn't have any column that refers to anything to do with blocking.

In Exam A Q27 - I think it should be B. There is no specific reference to deadlocks (TRACEON 1222), just to taking a long time... I agree that the Profiler doesn't fit, as the question is for 'an extended period'. Any thoughts?

Yes, the dump is still generally valid, but there are some new questions represented in the exam. Besides, some questions in the dump look wrong (for example, the Hotspot question). Usually I score about 970-980 points across the whole dump (90q), but today at the exam only 883... Good luck guys.

As others have said, approx 20 to 25 unseen questions out of 70, a few on migrating to Azure and existing questions reworded slightly.

As always with Microsoft there's often more than 1 correct answer, look for the subtle clue 'with minimum permissions' or 'minimum administrative effort' - normally tells you which of the correct answers they're looking for.

Emphasis on:
-Backup and restore - know differences between backup type/backup options/recovery models (also exam includes tail logs which dump does not)
-Backup/restore DB vs detach/attach DB (1 question asks about moving from 2005 to 2012, with scheduled downtime to test, how to do this as quick as possible - detach/attach is quicker and acceptable due to scheduled downtime).
-Clustered/Non Clustered Indexes
-Contained databases (full vs partial?)
-Azure (what tools to administer, query & data)

Can anyone confirm if answer for Exam D Q16 is wrong?
It says to use the ExtendedEvents tool to Troubleshoot the cause of high page_io latch. Would it not be System Monitor? As you can use SQLServer:Wait Statistics performance object in system monitor to find information about wait status for Page IO latch waits.

Can anyone confirm if the answer for this should be System Monitor instead of Xevents?

Took today, This is not valid, hardly any of the 70 questions were from this dump. Lots of new ones.

Got 5XX today (only used the training kit and youtube videos) and found the test to be quite difficult. Many drag and drops (around 10), 4 azure related questions(!!).

I took that from a Transcender dump if the option was Transaction_Log not Transaction Log. Sorry for the confusion. Still think it will be COPY_ONLY answer.

COPY_ONLY is correct.

Transaction_log - is no longer used with the BACKUP statement. To back up a transaction log, you must use the BACKUP LOG statement, not BACKUP TRANSACTION_LOG. So answer J is wrong in the VCE

reply to mikes replication error 5 question. According to MS you should do the following:
1. Create a local Windows account on both the Publisher and Subscriber that has the same username and password.
2. Use this account for the Merge Agent process account and have the connections to the publisher and distributor impersonate the agent process account.
3. Ensure the account has the permissions required in Replication Agent Security Model.

This approach is covered in the section Use Windows Authentication to Set Up Replication Between Two Computers Running SQL Server in Non-Trusted Domains

Hi there, I haven't done a exam for a few years and I have a question. If there is a question that says "choose all that apply", will there be a number how much to apply like in "visual certexam manager" ?
In "visual certexam manager" in the lower left corner there is a hint "select x choices".

New replication question - getting "error 5" (access denied) on pull partner. SQL services using virtual or local accounts. How to fix? Cannot remember options for answer - but I'm sure someone can research the error.

In my opinion
1 ) execute BCP tool
2 ) Perform full backup
3 ) perform a database log backup
4 ) configure database to use full recovery model
5 ) configure database to use bulk log recovery model

3-5-1 dump is right.
The database has FULL and log backups.
So, if you want to rollback before the bulk insert:
-Recover the full backup
-Recover all backup logs done after full backup + the log backup done in (3)

The bulk-logged recovery model is set to follow the requirement :
The database transaction log is minimally affected.

I tested both on my server.
The dump is wrong. the good answer is NOT LIKE.
When I configured with LIKE, I can only create stored procedures with sp_% in the name. So, the opposite of what I need to do

Around 45-50 questions are from this dump.
Had a drag and drop question about configuring max memory, had a hard time to rememember if show adv. options is needed(it is).
Had a question that looked like - "create a private mail" answer question in this dump but without that option, I've answered - add to MailSomething role.
Had a similar question about transfering from 2005 to 2012 -full backup at 2005 -but then there was only full and log(? from where) restore at 2012 option.
There was a multiple choise question about sql (mirror ?) deployment with minimum security problems, d&d question what are azure and what are sql roles I've chose dbmanager and another dbSomething for azure all others for sql.
D&D audit question similar to question in the dump but with 2 similar "create audit specification" options only difference is execute as dbo/public, had no clue there.
Got 800+, bottom line is that this dump+little knowledge is still enough to pass, thanks to everyone who is posting questions here ang GL to everyone else!

Guys, Albert is right. I tested both conditions. The correct condition is "NOT Like".

Correction: I may be wrong. My assumption was that the "On Change: Prevent" would prevent a condition that matches the filter, but maybe it prevents any changes that do not match the filter. Trying to research, but not finding a definitive answer .

Albert, "Operator to LIKE" is correct.

You have to consider the evaluation mode.

"On Demand" evaluates the policy when directly specified by the user.

"On Change: Prevent" is an automated mode that uses DDL triggers to prevent policy violations.

A bunch, +/-15 of new questions. Some questions only look the same but you need to read carefully as the answers are different.Some questions are completely different.

Have a careful read on Azure management and security, user security rights, upgrading 2005 and 2008R2 servers and dbs to 2012 and you will pass it.

I used 70-462 self paced training kit MeaureUp tests, dumps from here (some have different q's so make sure you go through all dumps not just this one), and some random stuff I found online. I normally also use Transcender and am definitely thinking about getting it for 70-463.

Could I have passed without these dumps? No, even if the questions don't appear (and some of the answers are wrong) they guide you in the right direction and definitely prepare you for the test, so keep them coming please!
