I answered in another post. But here it is again.
Security templates are inactive until imported into a Group Policy object or the Security Configuration and Analysis MMC.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb742512.aspx
From the link above:
Security Templates snap-in.
The Security Templates snap-in is a stand-alone Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in that allows the creation of a text-based template file that contains security settings for all security areas.
Security Configuration and Analysis snap-in. The Security Configuration and Analysis snap-in is a stand-alone MMC snap-in that can configure or analyze Windows 2000 operating system security. Its operation is based on the contents of a security template that was created using the Security Templates snap-in.
David - 2001 is the non-routable address.
@David
1- Server Manager cannot be used to apply policies directly. Therefore answer is local security policy.
2- 2001 is used for Teredo on IPV6, 2002 for 6to4.
What are the other Options on the questions?
@ray @ja @neko
could you answer my these questions as well ?
1 - the domain contains two servers that run server 2012 R2 . you creat a security template named template 1 by using the security template snap-in. you need to apply the template 1 to server2 which tool should you use ?
1 - local security policy
2 - sever manager
----------
2 - what is the IPV6 private non-routable prefix ?
2001
2000
thank you my exam is less than a week
@Juna
1 is the correct answer
@Juna
Fixed size is correct answer because you must ensure that 3TB.
Most of them were R2 questions. Failed 684 due to some incorrect answers in T section.
Make sure cover Server 2012 R2 well.
@Juna
When using dynamically expanding VHDX, the disk will be expended with more storage if needed.
The fixed-size VHD has the fixed storage and the VM will be paused when (almost) run out of space.
BUT .. if your hosts is almost out of the local disk space, then the dynamically expanding VHDX (created on that local hdd) will be paused aswell
is this valid ? any confirmation ?
@hellwind
there is another question which I doubt it.
you need to create a 3-TB virtual hard disk for vm1 on the LUN. the solution must prevent VM1 from bein paused if the LUN runs out of disk space
which type of virtual hard disk should you create on the LUN ?
1 - fixed-size VHDX
2 - dynamically expanding VHDX
please tell me the correct answer
Nice Job Gloria. Looks correct to me.
I still have a doubt on Q16.
"Your network contains an Active Directory domain named contoso.com. The domain contains 100 user accounts that reside in an organizational unit (OU) named OU1.
You need to ensure that a user named User1 can link and unlink Group Policy objects (GPOs) to OU1. The solution must minimize the number of permissions assigned to User1.
What should you do?"
A. Add User1 to the Group Policy Creator Owners group.
B. Modify the permissions on the User1 account.
C. Modify the permissions on OU1.
D. Run the Delegation of Control Wizard on the Policies container.
You answer is D. I agree that Delegation of Control Wizard is the best way, but here it's saying "On the policies Container", not the OU1.
You cannot run this Wizard on the Container with all policies. But it could be the usual MS Tricky question and bad formulated..IMO C is the only valid alternative.
