Rest of 55 q are very hard, so be well prepared or reschedule !

There's a problem with this question. If a support tech (w/ Admin status) uses the file sharing wizard (which is "Provision a Share"), then all Domain Users, by default, ARE given read access. However, if he uses the file Properties to do it, only Admins can access. So, there is a general problem with the way this question is worded.

However, assuming the tech shared it originally with the file Property box, then he could either add Domain Users in the Property box for the folder or use the Provision a Share wizard to edit the NTFS permission settings, and add Domain Users there.

Just a quick FYI -- I'm not too sure these "new" dumps are much more than "Windows 2008" changed to "Windows 2008 R2." If you look at the "new" demo questions out there, they're the same as the old. No questions with any new material such as DNSSEC, or DirectAccess. Makes you wonder --

P.S. Of course, if you're doing Server Core, than CLI is relevant. However, that does *not* justify the number of command line questions that are germane to so few.

Panne is correct, TechGuy. The 642 MS Press book does not cover DNSSEC, or DirectAccess, or FCI, or DFS-R, or a number of 70-642 test relevant topics. So, if you want to beat up on anyone, beat up on Microsoft for upgrading their test, without upgrading their study materials. (The last edition I could find of the 70-642 training kit, had none of the 2008 R2 new topics). I agree you should know the material, however, the deep-dive and minutia nonsense some of the test questions go into is totally irrelevant. I know few sys admins (other than the real old-school guys from the UNIX side of the house) that still bother with CLI unless they need specific options they can't get with the GUI (which is rare).

Order the book. do the work..read and learn.. I've worked with people that had MCSE's. MCITP's in server administration and did not know what they were doing in a highly volatile production environment.Microsoft tests are not hard to pass if you do the work. I passed this on friday with a 900/1000 using only the Microsoft press book for 70-642. Questions have been updated for Windows 2008 Server R2. Most questions are still applicable to Windows 2008 Server. I used this free ebook to supplement for r2 questions..

Also, look for MS Press Configuring Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure 70-642 training kit ebook, it looks like there is a new second edition but for now this is a good help. It´s better to have a good idea of all the content of the exam..

Anyone know when we will have a new vce? for this test had studied Microsoft.Braindump.70-642.v2010-09-07.100q.vce to take the exam here in Brazil but I guess should not be more valid?
