just passed today. 725 edged but who the f.. cares.
The scenario questions was Fabrikam, whatever museum of art and Speed Messengers. Almost 18 out of 47 question were from those scenarios.

I think I was luck because I nearly memorize this dump and Frankie's. I consider 70-685 does not assess real world knowledge but book-eating people.

Just want to share something about this exam. I failed the exam first time and I am going to take exam tomorrow. I noticed about the exam questions at the first time that there are a lot of questions based on windows server 2008. In my opinion, 70 685 and 70 686 are related. Those who are aiming to get certified in 70 685. Just study and practice 70 686 also. I am pretty sure that you can do well in your exam with practice in both areas.

I passed the exam today in the USA. 47q, 20 scenario based. About 20 of the questions were from the dumps. The scenarios were just how Steve described. I actually put off taking this exam an extra week to study and I'm glad I did! It was much harder than I thought. To study, I used the dumps here, CBT Nuggets videos, and the Microsoft Press Training Kit book + practice tests. Even with that there were a few questions that I had no idea on. The only one I remember was on VPN encryption type. Make sure you know your material before you take this!

I read the book "Microsoft Self-Paced Training Kit 70-680" and watched the "CBT Nuggets 70-685 Videos".

+ I studied this dump of course.

You have to have knowledge about Windows Server 2008 as well !

The test wasn't too hard but there a few scenario questions that are very vague as to what would constitute a correct answer. For instance, there was a question on how to remedy a situation where a DC is taken offline for maintenance and the users at that site are unable to log in due to a logon-hours GP set for the user base. Normally this wouldn't be an issue but since the users are now being authenticated at a remote DC, the timezone does not match and the users are being blocked from logging in. The question asks what to do to fix the situation without breaching the company security protocols. The 3 likely answer choices were 1. change the timezone of the remote DC, 2. change the timezone of the client computers, 3. request a new DC to be deployed at the affected site.

I was kinda stumped on this question because changing the timezone for either the remote DC or the client pc's is effectively breaching the company security protocols yet waiting for a new DC to be deployed is ridiculous in a business environment since the users would be unable to work for at least 24 hours.

I took this exam last week and passed. As some have pointed out, the dump is fairly out of date now. Of the 47 questions, only about 8~10 questions came from the dump. 20 of the 47 questions are scenario based questions. These are still multiple choice questions. For each given scenario, there are 5 questions for that scenario. That means 4 scenarios total (4 x 5 = 20). The scenario describes in detail the setup in a given organization and you are asked questions about the scenario - such as what would you do if something were to happen or how would you implement something. Details of the scenarios include information such as lan/wan topology of the company, server/client configuration, wireless/security configuration, GPO configuration, security policy of the company, etc. You'll want to spend the time carefully examining the scenario when you answer the questions.

This dump is not relevant at all. Just taken the exam 47q's, four questions from here. Mostly scenario based. Failed 530. Does anyone have an up to date dump?

Can someone give me an example of how Microsoft's scenario questions work? Are they still multiple choice or do you have to write out an answer and have someone look at it?

dumps not 100% valid maybe 30%. Many new questions + 20 or so from scenarios

yes---the scenario questions are multiple choice---basically same questions within 2 days----knowing only 15-17 q from the 3 dumps here are not enough

i failed 2 times yesterday and today with more than 1/2 i have never seen ---both times with 47
my guess is no beta except 2--i got about 60% of 45 or 27 right and 18 wrong====the dump does not help i scored 1000 in all 3 dumps
there were more than 23 long winded scenerios i have not seen in dumps

This VCE is not realy valid. I got 47 Q. A lot are scenario based. And not quiet easy. But I passed with 764. Enough !

This VCE is no longer valid. I did the exam today and failed. More than half of the questions are not from this VCE and the majority are scenario based that are really hard to answer if you don't have enough hands on experience of Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2 domains.

Passed today ; got 47 Qs. about 20 Qs are scenario based and not in this dump. I think number and type the questions you will get depends on the answer of the survey. To pass do not rely on this dump only..

Valid only 80 - 90 % but the exam have 10 to 15 scenaries.. good luck

Do the scenario questions count or not?

Just took today in the US. Dump has many questions from the exam but is missing the case studies. Case studies are about 15 more difficult questions with a lot of reading but not too hard. Lots of stuff from 680 on this exam so if you know 680 and some enterprise, active directory type stuff you'll be fine.

Passed 70-685 with 976/1000, totally 60 questions, this dumbs is valid 100, and ofcourse 20 more new scenario based question, if you familier with XP and windows Networking and Windows 7, you may easily score. Thanks for your support.

What study materials are you guys using. There is no book for this yet and I just don't want to memorize the questions I want to learn the topics first. Anyone.?

I took this exam in the UK this morning. My exam had 60 questions, these dumps have 40. My exam started with a bunch of 'scenario-based' questions which I hadn't seen before.
That said - I had studied for them, and apart from one ambiguous question - they were relatively straightforward. I ended with 1000/1000 so they can't have been too hard!

This dump is valid, but only for about 2/3 of the questions!
