@paul, try the latest dump by VCPGUY, still the same with this dump, more reliable, and did have the drag and drop scenarios, this is also reliable dump, but the few answers from here and to VCPGUY had a comparison, so study the same answers, im taking the exam on monday, Godbless
Hi all,
Is it just me or do none of the drag and drop questions work? I find it harder to remember if we cannot physically answer the question in the proper manner.
Many thanks
Paul
Do the scenarios on this dump, included on the exam? I've already passed 2 MS exam but this is different on those two, can anybody confirm if scenario A and B are included on the exam?
pass today valid 1000% i pass with 957 thanks Bulgarian thanks alot buddy good luck every one thanks allah
I just failed this exam after using the ActualTest.com study guide. It was grossly insufficient. I looked at this guide and the first question was very accurate. Definitely going to use my second shot with this guide.
Still valid. Passed today in midwest US, 1-2 new questions tops.
Valid in the US. Only 2 new questions but were easy.
Valid in UK. Passed today with 870.. 3 new question though and one question had different choices.
- Valid in Canada Yesterday
Anybody knows Why i didn't receive Its Transcript yet.
Did anyone receive it after passing OR MS stopped issuing it.
Vaild in Canada but Ans r NOT right.

Hi,
Passed exam with 950 score. All question is valid! No one new question. Prometric change software for this exam with new interface and create sections group (6Q+44Q+4Q). Dont understend why..
Thanks guys, 100% valid, passed today 935/1000
Dank markiert für Ihre Antwort. Yes I was going through the conversations here about few questions. Will take them on board. Sure if any issues will post here or appropriate area. Bestes des Glücks mit Ihrer Prüfung.
@Yoshiki, Fàilte. I'd recommend the recent VCP5Guy as a base dump 'cause it already comes with complete scenario q's and text in seperate sections. Some of the corrections mentioned here might apply to it as well IMHO. I haven't had a thorough look at each q though, as I am using a dump in german language and I'm quite busy now verifiying 70-687. Any concerns whatever just post in the appropriate thread and we'll try to find a solution. I think the material provided is valid and enough to pass. I rely on it. After my exam date (7th or 10th of Dec) I can tell for sure. Slán go fóill !
Hi Mark/Gill- Please advise if this dump is valid and all answers are correct? @Gill: I passed 680 today and thank you very much for the dump.
@mark..thanks bro..wish you best of luck for both exams..
@khurram, you've got mail
all valid. many thanks. passed on Saturday. tough exam!
@gill ohai, yes would love to have that w8 pdf ^^ please drop me a line.
I plan -86 & 87 in a row then on 5th of december. Hope it will be still valid. Gotta admire your patience and ongoing support for the 680. It's kinda like spoonfeeding / repeating same stuff over and over. thx mate
@ Mark
No special recommendations for any question vendors, maybe P4S or CertMe.
What concerns the question stuff and its amount, you're on top. You and the guys around here are doing a good job.
If anybody compiles it to a dump, that would be fine, but me - I hate to deliver things bite-sized: those dilettantes only dumping should be barred a little.
Concerning 70-687, don't wait for CB, do it now and do it in english. The exam pool is very small and valid. If you like, I'll send you a corresponding pdf.
thanks all !
@Steve wish you luck for monday !
In the complete scenario it says something about having a W2008 Hyper V Server in place
for the VDI and we should auto add the clients to the Domain.
On top we need to KMS activate Win Clients and Office and we need to keep the number of servers as low as possible.
It does not state that we actually have a KMS near our VDI Pool subnet, the
one in Paris might be far away and it is isolated.
Why install 2nd 2008 Server core with ADDS ? I can't think of a good explanation. Would it make sense to create a new (sub)domain to seperate the VDI Pool from main domain ?
@kazbek The VDI pool in the university, it is not part of the "master" domain / security issues ?
One thing is sure, we don't want the existing HyperV to run virtualization / remoteapp and ADDS together (single point of failure, maybe time sync & backup issues).
You see, I'm greatly confused and thinking way too complicated ;-)
Answers I'd choose by now: Install Office 2010 KMS Host License Pack, Activate the KMS host
with Office 2010 KMS key, Activate the server with the KMS Key (for win clients).
@Mark Germany
"You need to manage Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010 license keys for the VDI pool automatically. What should you do?"
But the answer in the exam is actually correct, as it is part of a testlet and the vce file does not contain the scenario - I think its something like Paris has a KMS server in isolation..
You should google the question, usually a pdf of the testlet comes up - I had it in my exam last time (which I failed) but since found this site and have this exam on Monday!
Thanks for all!
@facof @mark
In real life when we apply VDI in the university, I install KMS-host for Office 2010, then activate KMS with KMS key. And no matter what kind of OS installed for KMS-host.
Also we apply once by script ospprearm.exe for resetting Office install id, otherwise KMS do not see differents between thin clients and do not aktivating Office.
From your comment i see there are many question that are wrong, can you give a list with the question number and exam A,B,C OR D, so we can fix it?
Thanks
There seems to be a lot of questions where the highlighted answer(green) is different from the answer in the explanation
@mark
I think that the question is to short..
After search, you don't really need a server core..but not sure..
anybody have an idea??
@falcof thanks for confirming med-v steps
mark_09[at]live.de
1) yes, syntax is manage-bde -on C: -RecoveryKey C:BitLocker -ComputerName client01
2) yes, i would answer Setup Analysis tool too
If you'll get a q MEDV2 Trim Transfer or SCCM choose SCCM.
It's because trim transfer is not supported anymore in MEDV2
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg548547.aspx
What's with this one, and why:
3) You need to manage Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010 license keys for the VDI pool automatically.
What should you do?
- Install MS Office 2010 KMS Host license pack + Activate KMS Host with Office 2010 KMS
That would suggest we already have a KMS, which only needs Office KMS Host license pack.
Am I right ? why install Server Core with ??ADDS?? for VDI pool and activate Server with KMS key ?
You are installing a new third-party application to all the Windows 7 client workstations that your
company has deployed.
You need to monitor all of the actions taken by the application installer.
Which application should you use? Answer is Compatibility administrator
There is Setup Analysis tools the good andswer?
Please can you confirm? Thx
At the question You use a computer named Client02 to manage the BitLocker configuration on a remote computer
named Client01.
A new company policy states that when BitLocker is used, you must be able to access the data in
case of a system failure.
You need to comply with the company policy.
Using manage-bde, how should you achieve this goal? (To answer, drag the appropriate
parameter from the list of options to the correct location or locations in the work area.)
Manage-be -on c: -Recoverykey c:itlocker - computername client01.
Im'not sure it's the good answer . Do you have an idea?
Ok , I find, it's the good order Run MED-V Workspace Packager, Create MED-V Workspace package. Deploy the VM image by using SCCM
Ref : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg548584.aspx
Is the good order : Run MED-V Workspace Packager, Create MED-V Workspace package. Deploy the VM image by using SCCM ?
Thanks.
Just passed with 871/100 using Razor 184q and Bulgarian 195q in Switzerland. Had 54 questions, 2 new ones amongst them. Some of the drag-and-drop questions were more complicated as you could prepare for with these files. These test files only show you which drop-downs you'd have to change, whereas in the real test, you also had to decide which action in that drop-down to pick.
@falcof I think the answer must be set the policy to remote signed.
remote signed seems best practice (as signing everything would be a real pain). RS is kind of a compromise workflow / security. And with disabling IE Enhanced Security Configuration (IE ESC) to allow UNCs to be considered Intranet - it'll run our scripts from UNC remote location during initial setup.
But that is just my explanation, I maybe wrong though.
Thanks Mark and for this question :
You plan to use Windows PowerShell scripts to configure system settings when you deploy Windows 7.
You need to ensure that Windows PowerShell scripts will run on the client computers during initial setup.
www.certify-me.co.uk 114
Microsoft 70-686 Exam
What should you do?
Set the script execution policy to Restricted. or Set the script execution policy to RemoteSigned.
4) addition: don't allow hosted networks
Thanks Gill, you're right with diskpart.
1) ? Run MED-V Workspace Packager, Create MED-V Workspace package. Deploy the VM image by using SCCM ?
2) Mount base image to local dir share by using DISM, Add packages + Lang packs by using DISM /Add-Package, Commit changes to image using DISM /Unmmount-Wim & Commit, Copy image ISOsources folger by using Copy cmd and rename image boot.wim
3) You need to prevent users from sharing their desktop sessions with remote users. You also need to allow administrators who are using Windows XP to administer the Windows 7 image remotely.
- Remove Allow remote Assistance, check Allow Connections running any version of Remote Desktop (less secure)
4) You need to ensure that users can connect only to the predefined SSID shown in the work area. Prevent Connections to ad-hoc networks + infrastructure networks + ??Only use GP for allowed networks??
Hello, it's possible to make a resume of incorect answer, please ?
Thanks all
Exam still Valid .. Passed today with 957.
@ Mark
Hi Mark! Thanks again for the dump.
@Kazbek
Agree with Q1, Q3, Q4.
Not with Q2: I think it's diskpart., because first you need to create a new Native Boot VHD.
@Kazbek
q1) Still thinking about that one - We have a CA keyword: Auto Enrollment External Users might be able to download our self signed certificate
and if they decide to trust it, they can install it to their store in order to
access our Webapp. The answer text is misleading.
q2) you're right it is BCDedit.exe
q3) u right again, should be Use MAK for 200 computers, then remainder with MAK Proxy activation
q4) in a single Domain environment you would run gpresult.exe against Boston computers as part of the troubleshooting process (CB-Nuggets, MS Press Book) to get a detailed report where we can see if some policies overlap / conflict with others. We would use GPOTOOL.exe in a multi domain environment to see if policies are replicated between DCs
Your company has a custom Web application that uses a self-signed SSL certificate. The
company has an internal certification authority (CA) and uses autoenrollment. When external
users attempt to start the Web application, Internet Explorer displays an error message that
recommends closing the Web page rather than continuing to the application. You need to ensure
that Internet Explorer does not display the error message. What should you do?
A. Install the current certificate into the personal store on each client computer. Add the
applications URL to the Trusted Sites zone in Internet Explorer.
B. Install the current certificate into the computer store on each client computer.
C. Purchase and install a commercial certificate on the CA server. Ensure that users trust the
issuing CA.
D. Issue a root certificate from the internal CA on the external users computers.
In this dump "B" marked as correct, but how can we install certificate to EACH external client?! I see the only one possible way into this situation - purchase commercial certificate.
Your company has client computers that run Windows 7 Enterprise.
Each computer in the company is required to boot into a different Windows 7 application
environment without compromising the main Windows 7 Enterprise installation.
You need to create a new Native Boot VHD that will host the alternate Windows 7 environments.
Which command should you use?
A. BCDEdit.exe
B. Bootcfg.exe
C. DiskPart.exe
D. BCDboot.exe
Answer D marked as correct, but as described here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd799299(v=ws.10).aspx , to add additional native boot VHD we need to use BCDEdit tool. Or am I wrong?
A network consists of 1,000 laptop computers that run Windows XP. The computers do not have access to the corporate network.
You plan to migrate 200 of the computers immediately to Windows 7. The remainder will be migrated over the next several months.
You need to plan the most efficient method for activating all of the computers.
What should you do?
A. Use Multiple Activation Key (MAK) Independent for the first 200 computers, and then use Multiple Activation Key (MAK) Proxy for the remaining computers.
B. Use the Key Management Service (KMS) for all the computers.
C. Use Multiple Activation Key (MAK) Independent for all the computers.
D. Use Multiple Activation Key (MAK) Proxy for the first 200 computers, and then use the Key Management Service (KMS) for the remaining computers.
Here B marked as correct, but how we can use KMS whithout connection to the corporate network?! Only the MAK key can help us in this situation. Am I correct or not?
A company has an Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) forest with a single domain.
Domain controllers are located in the companys offices in New York and Boston.
You deploy a group policy at the domain level that includes security filtering.
You discover that Group Policy object (GPO) settings are being applied to computers in the New York office, but not to computers in the Boston office.
You suspect there might be replication problems with the policies. What should you do?
A. Run a Group Policy Results report against computers in the Boston office.
B. Run a Group Policy Modeling report against computers in the Boston office.
C. Use the GpoTool.exe command-line tool.
D. Use the RepAdmin.exe command-line tool.
In the dump "A" marked as correct, but how gpresult tool can it help in this situation?! May be the correct answer "D"?

To Joe: The MCSA is a new cert called Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate.Your certs will be recoginized as MCITP up till July of 2013. From there you can upgrade your MCITP to the MCSA with one exam for the desktop admin.
Your MCITP automatically renewed over to MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) Thus meaning have the most up to date certification and your route should now involve MSCE (Expert) More or less, Microsoft is entirely moving over to the CLOUD, so all future exams will be aimed for the CLOUD solution.
Hope this help and can you please provide some feedback on this file?
Kind Regards
