passed the exam today. used all kinds of study material: measure up, learnkey videos, cbt nuggets videos. don't waste time on cbtnuggets, the guy goes too deep into programming for a fundamentals couse. i found that the measure up vce was the best study material coupled with just good ole reading. the day of the exam i didn't feel like i was ready and i got on the internet and started googling key exam topics and found stackoverflow.com...wow! site is the bomb. these guys have put together detailed information on every major topic on ASP. once i understood the concepts (i am sure can be found in any good book as well), i went to take the exam in the afternoon. passed!
Its good for practice, but its validity is not ore than 40%
Will there ever be any brain-dumps for these? I need to pass the cert for college. I am not a programmer, but its one of those check boxes I need to fill for my degree.. this class is haunting me.
@Alex: In the Web Development Fundamentals (C#) exam there were 35 questions with 50 minutes duration.
@Dkinabu,
Silly question, how many questions are there on the exam? 30? or 100 questions?
For clarity purpose the Web Development Fundamentals (C#) is divided into five main objectives namely: Programming Web Applications, Working with Data and Services, Troubleshooting and Debugging Web Applications, Working with Clinet-Side Scripting, as well as Configuring and Deploying Web Applications. You should expect at least six questions from each of the objectives. So, to answer your question, I will advise you practice as much as you can. Don't cram or memorize the programming codes (or questions and answers); instead master the CONCETPS. Mastering the concepts will enable you find the right answers to the questions.
Above all, I still maintain that the exam itself isn't hard. If you could devote time for studies, using the materials earlier recommended, you would pass the exam!
@ Dkinabu and MG,
Do you also recommend that I should practice a lot of programming? I'm currently using the Wiley Office book at the moment. Do you think that it is good enough?
Thank for the help in advance buddy.
Alex
Passed the xam today. Used the official text book and Pluralsite videos. Measureup will get you ready for the exam by letting you know what type of questions you will see on the exam. I've heard Measure Up is harder than the exam. I can't agree since both were pretty new to me. Study the basics which the book teaches you. Do the excersises in the book and you'll do fine. Not a hand out cert here. You have to earn it. Trust me, I had to bite the bullet and actually learn the concepts. Good luck to all who attempt. STUDY!
Yes, I passed. I used the LearnKey and the MeasureUp. Don't memorize the questions and answers. Learn the concepts and use flashcards. If you do, you would pass the exam at first attempt. The exam itself isn't hard. It's geared toward assessing your knowledge on the exam objectives.
@ Dkinabu:
Thanks buddy! Ahh so you purchased the learnKey products. Did you pass the MTA Software Development Fundamentals? If you did, did you use the same materials? I wanted to take three MTAS
1. Software Development Fundamentals
2. Web Development Fundamentals
3. .NET Fundamentals
I'm working my way through the first one now.. :)
Any guidance would be great! Thanks again
@ Alex: The URL "web address" of the study material that I used is http://www.learnkey.com/mta_webdev_Outline. Copy and paste to your web browser and hit enter. You don't have to be an expert in Web Programming. A basic knowledge would see you through!

Hi Dkinabu, What Materials you are using to prepare? Any guidance is a big help! :)
I have taken the exam. It is not difficult if you understand the study material. In fact, the MeasureUp practice questions are harder than the real exam. I scored 91 though I was a bit gittery as I pressed the submit botton. Good luck to all those planning to take the exam!
No, it's probably just a VCE of the MeasureUp practice exam. It's not a brain dump, just for practice.
Also, Prometric is able to proctor the MTA exams now.
Would like to know if this is valid as well. Please assist.
Anybody know how valid this one is?
