Hi Anon1, kindly email me the dump, I can upload it. wonder why no one else has.
I just sent the VCE that I used, and I passed with a decent score. I am not going to argue either way for any answer at this point. What I sent out, and hopefully what will get uploaded is what I used. Good luck, folks
@ Anon1 -- Q8 in contoso. I think it should be A: DFS because branchcache with not work with XP
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/windowsserver2008r2branchoffice/thread/df2b427c-4ab6-44ab-8bde-7bd6a586105c/
Passed with a 850 on my second attempt. I got the exact same exam with the same questions.
Thanks to John, Omar, and Voodoo for their dumps.
Here are the questions that I changed from the first exam to the second.
Exam D
Q21:
CNAME record- pretty sure this is correct
Q27:
Option 1
Q11:
From the Default Domain Controlers Policy, enable the Audit services setting
From the Secure OU, modify the Auditing settings
I think this is correct because in the OU, you can select auditing options.
Q18:
I selected on A
Q7:
Modify the registry on Server1
Q12:
Configure Server2 as Enterprise CA
Exam A Q1
I selected B, Operations Manager create an alert.
Exam C Q7:
A cloud
Contoso Q5
DFS
I think these changes help me pass on the second attempt. Hope this helps.
I uploaded Anon's dump 5 minutes ago, could take a while before it's visible here
I keep trying to upload the copy of the VCE that I used, but it keeps failing for me. I have emailed it out to all who have emailed me. Can someone else get the upload to work, and upload it so everyone can have it?
I sent all of you who emailed me a copy of it. Please feel free to post it up to here, also. I just didn't have the time to do it. Good luck with your exams, folks
Anon, why don't you just post your version? Would really appreciate it!!!! Thanks.
Anon1..I just emailed you. Thanks for this. Please email me back when you have a moment.
Thanks!
I just used John, Voodoo v7, and Rahamims versions, but I changed a few things, and there were a few on the exam that hadn't different selection of answers. If you want a copy of the one I used, witch the changes I made, I can upload it, or you can email me at study_anon@yahoo.com
Much thanks to Voodoo, John, and Omar for getting me to where I was.
Anon1..what dump did you use to get such a high score??
Just passed with an 9XX. Happy to finally be done with this exam. Just about all the questions were the same, but a few had different answer choices.
@Abou - which VCE did you use?
Good luck Anon1, I'm taking my test soon as well but I will study and use Alx.95q.vce as reference. it seems to be the best vce at the moment
pass with 790
I think I am going with VHD on this one.
Ah well, test time. Here goes nothing!
I would be still stick with VHDX. We need multiple images not only one. converting to VHDX will take only few minutes and we can save disk space. that's what this question wants I believe.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2799257
Failed yesterday with 665, please correct the errors
Mr. Ocean, no need to deduct from the facts that dumps should be accurate.
As there are so many people saying, "failed today, lots of wrong answers" all i have to say is know your stuff. I just read trough the corrections and study the books. There are people passing with 910 too. I will soon take the exam.
I was leaning towards VHD also, and I think you folks cemented that idea for me. Thanks folks
I'm sorry I was wrong, seeing the book I found the following quote:
Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V: Deploying the Hyper-V Enterprise Server
both parente and child disk always have the same disk format; this means tha if the parent disk is created as VHD, the child disk cannot be VHDX.
correct is Differencing VHD disks.
the time to perform the procedure by vhdx is better, do not need to edit the vhd or even convert it, the disk space will be smaller and still has an improved system recovery files.
where is the error?
Being that the parent is a VHD, the child (differencing) has to be VHD.
Anonymous, the choice still remains vhd because one of the requirements is Required- Minimize the amount of time required.
Hyper-V supports a number of VHD types that
utilize either VHD or VHDX, including:
Differencing disks. A differencing VHD is associated with another VHD in a parent-child relationship.
The differencing disk is the child, and the associated virtual disk is the parent. The parent disk can be
any type of VHD. The differencing disk (the child) stores a record of all changes made to the parent
disk, and then provides a way to save changes without altering the parent disk. In other words, by
using differencing disks, you ensure that changes are made to the differencing disks and not to the
original VHD. You can merge changes from the differencing disk to the original VHD, when
appropriate.

http://blogs.technet.com/b/yungchou/archive/2013/01/23/hyper-v-virtual-hard-disk-vhd-operations-explained.aspx
The process in both cases are the same or giving in vhdx VHD. VHDX, which supports capacities up to 64
terabytes, , but can only be read by computers running Windows Server 2012.
Additionally, it provides better protection against data corruption during power failures and has improved alignment to work on large-sector physical disks.
Also note that the larger size of VHDX applies only to nonboot volumes. VHDX boot disks are also limited to 2 TB because of limitations found in the legacy AMI BIOS used in Hyper-V virtual machines.
See in http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh831446.aspx
I would choose the option Differencing disks VHDX
Thanks Nos.
99% sure it is .vhd.
Required- Minimize the amount of time required.
To use .vhdx you would have to concert the .vhd to vhdx.
http://searchservervirtualization.techtarget.com/tip/VHD-vs-VHDX-Virtual-disk-format-differences
VHD is the correct answer, proofed in Lab. If you create differencing virtual hard disks, then you have to use the same disk type as the base one.
Unless someone can confirm you can do a vhdx difference disk, I am choosing .vhd.
@everyone, so what is the right answere ? lol
@Nos, that's kind of what was throwing me for a loop
Unless someone has created a .VHDX Difference Disk from a VHD, I would choose .VHD. .VHDX is better, but the the original is .VHD.
Differencing VHDX is the correct answer, see:
"The VHDX format also provides the following features:
Efficiency in representing data (also known as "trim"), which results in smaller file size and allows the underlying physical storage device to reclaim unused space. (Trim requires physical disks directly attached to a virtual machine or SCSI disks, and trim-compatible hardware."
Anon1. I would select VHDX. because one of benefit of VHDX is ..
â– Efficiency in representing data, which results in smaller file size and allows the underlying physical storage device to reclaim unused space.
Exam D Q12. selection changed with the same question and same exibit. Answered B. we need enterprise server for cert template.
A. Configure Server 2 as standalone CA
B. Configure Server 2 as subordinate enterprise CA
C. Configure Server 2 as subordinate standalone CA
D. On Server1, install the Network Device Enrollment Service role Service.
Exam C, Q 10. I have seen both "differencing VHD disks" and "differencing VHDX disks" as answers. Anyone know which is correct and why?
Thanks in advance
Hi Nos,
Im pretty sure Exam C Q7 is indeed Host Group:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc917951.aspx
In Omar's dump answer is A and John's D, John's is incorrect however. With Answer D you can delegate access but not specifically "self created VM's". Obviously you can with creating a private cloud but that is total change of managing the access for the whole infrastructure, which is why i think the best answer is A.
Designating hosts on which users can create and operate their own virtual machines—When a VMM administrator adds self-service roles, the role identifies the hosts on which self-service users or groups in that role are allowed to create, operate, and manage their own virtual machines. This process is known as virtual machine self-service. It is easier to designate such hosts if a specific host group is created for this purpose. For more information, see About Virtual Machine Self-Service.

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc956125.aspx
Hi Nos,
I think you and Voodoo are correct on this on, the answer should be A.
My recommended solution would be the to put them in a failover cluster as in option 4 but without the third server.
Exam D
Q27. Answer is A.
I originally thought this was wrong, but thanks to Voodoo on this one. Live migration can be done on hyper-V with local storage now in 2012.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh831435.aspx
I think answer on question 1 is B (see voodoo's dump for the explanation)
Datum Questoins.
Q1. The answer is C, 4 Cert Servers. It says each client must get a cert in their local office, and there are 4 total offices.
Q10. Answer is C. It says in the case The Wan link between Miami and Seattle is low bandwidth and won't be replaced for a year.
Exam B, Q6.
WSuS.
Answer is A,B,E.
Deploy Both GPO's, and configure Server 2 as Replica.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc720448(v=ws.10).aspx
First failed but today passed as 850. Followed this dump for A-D selections and testlet but followed Omar for drag and drops. Only I changed 10 year ca to registry of server 1. Not sure if it was correct. But I got 100% for implement identity and access part.
Pretty sure Exam C Q7 is Host Group.
Exam D Q5. Isci initiator, believe is wrong.
90%+ sure on this. IT is the most logical.
1. On Server1, Add the initiator ID of Server 2.
2. On Server2, from iSCSI initiator Properties, Run Quick Connect.
3. From Server2, from the iSCSI initiator Properties, click Connect, and then select Multipath.
Exam D Q 13.
Link for Self service Password Reset, to verify current answer.
