If you choose to make the 070-640 exam it will be 50 multiple choice questions. The one that contain labs are 073-640 that is full of labs. But anyways certifcation means nothing if you don't know how to use the technology so find the TK on the internet and do all the LABS to dominate the AD DS Services. Hugs

Go through all the letters A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J,K,L,M.
Ensure your getting a pass mark of 90% or higher.
Once your getting 90% or higher on all the letters, your ready to sit the real exam.

It`s very, very valid exam. I passed with 850pst. 3 new question on test.

Used only this dump to prepare for the exam. Scored 812 after browsing the answers for several hours. I'm sure if I studied longer and harder I would've scored much higher. The explanations for the answers are excellent. I'm thinking Exam G Q10 may be wrong. The question states that Server1 is running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard. However in order to publish certificates to AD, you need an enterprise CA, which requires 2008 R2 Enterprise. 2008 R2 standard can only host a standalone CA. So while answer A is correct and part of what you need to do, answer C should be done FIRST.

Just Passed on my first try 890.
I've been going through the questions slowly, reviewing answers, and then taking practices test when I could. I also had practice test from Transcender. It helped at first but they weren't as thorough as these questions. I took exam, D, E, F right before my test and it helped me. There were lots of similar questions. The answers are a bit different though. Good luck!

Question E/19 asks how to change the UPN suffix for all users. The suggested answer tells, how to specify additional possible UPN suffixes to the forest ("type an alternative UPN suffix for the forest"). This has already been done according to the question ("You add an additional user principal name (UPN) suffix to the forest"). I think LDIFDE is the correct answer.

Brief explanation for E/06 ("A user from the branch office reports that his account is locked out"):
"To get the account unlocked the WAN needs to be restored, which will allow for the user to authenticate again without doing anything else. Under normal account lockout methodology, the user's bad password count would normally get replicated to the other domain controllers in the environment, but not the case here. Simply restoring the WAN link will then reset the bad password attempt to zero (0) and the account will no longer be locked out, allowing the user to attempt login again."

Question D/23 has a good answer but the wrong explanation (the question with the following error msg: *** Can't list domain contoso.com: Query refused). Correct explanation:

@ben: I think we got a totally different exam than these other guys are getting who say they only see 3 - 4 new questions. I had 20+ new questions BUT this is still a good study guide with good explanations and references. My advice to the others, do your homework and be prepared. Do not rely on memorizing the questions and answers.

I think you have Test E Q19 wrong. In ADUC if you select multiple users and go to properties under the account tab you can change the UPN suffix. You can add a suffix in ADDT but you can not modify exisiting users

@Ben: I know what you mean about the 2nd guessing. I think MS words the questions like that on purpose, to make you really think and confuse you. I went through every question on the exam twice and 3 times for the 10 or 12 that I marked. I did end up changing the answer on 2 of those after reading it the 3rd time. This was actually my 3rd try at this exam, the 1st being lasty July where I made 678. I kind of put it on hold untill the boss started pressuring me about getting it done so I studyed some and took it this past May and scored 643. Luckily, I had a free 2nd shot for this attempt so I buckled down and studied hard for this attempt and it paid off. I'm going to take a little break then start on Server 2012 exams.This is the 1st cert exam of any kind that I did not pass on the 1st attempt, very frustrating.

I had that same PS question on the last exam. It was the first question in the exam and I thought to myself, this isnt' good. The problem I'm having is I think too much through the question and 2nd guess myself. I know how ADDS works, scored 680 on the exam. This is definitely going to help with the studying of those few questions that stump me.

I took the exam yesterday and had 20+ questions that were NT in this dump. Had some that the questions were the same but different answer choices and had some that were from here that had the same correct answer as this dump but also a 2nd correct answer but they only wanted one answer. I had 4 sets of 5 questions that dealt with one topic but 10 answer choices. One set of 5 questions was all DNS, another FSMO roles, another was GPOs, and another ADCS. Had 4 or 5 PowerShell questions with one of them that went something like this:
You have a comma seperated file with all the info for 500 users named Users.text. Which command would you use to pipe to a 2nd command to import the users? It then had 2 drop-down menus, one with 6 different choices then on the other side of the pipe command (|) there was another drop-down menu with the same 6 choices. Needless to say, I had no clue because PS is not my strong point.
The main thing is, know your stuff, not just the answers. This is a good study guide if you treat it as such. Good luck!

Passed today with 884! This dump is valid in the USA in the sense that it is a good study guide with good explanations. I saw at least 20+ questions that were NOT in this dump. I went through all 489+ questions. Also, on some of the questions that were the same, the answer choices were different so DO NOT memorize the answers. You have to know your $h!t for this one!
@ Santiago from Argentina: I had this same question today but with 4 totally different choices. I wish I could remember what all the different/new questions were but my brain doesn't work that way, unfortunately.
Hats off to Venomous and Falcon for a great job with the explainations. I used those to learn the WHY and HOW that helped me pass the exam. I can't stress it enough, learn the material, not just the answers.

When I passed my first certification they mailed me a packet with a pin and documents. I'm not sure if they still do this. When you created your microsoft account to take the test it should appear on the mcp site in a week or two.

On the question about key archival, where the answer B (use 2008 standard) it supposed to be wrong, I see that on question q20 it say "You have a windows 2008 ENTERPRISE. You need to implement Key archival" so I assume that confirm that to have key archival you need at least the enterprise edition.

You do realize that using dumps from this site is illegal and is NOT tolerated/promoted by Microsoft? If Microsoft finds out, and that's pretty easy when you make a confession at the test center, you might risk being permanently banned from the Microsoft Certification program.

Keep these dumps to yourself, don't brag about it to others, don't take the exam and finish it in ten minutes. Never give the impression you knew the questions and answers before you went in to take the exam.

Do some serious learning first, watch videos, open a good book, build a lab and test things for yourself. Then, when you feel you master the material, have a look at this dump, learn it and go to a test center for the exam. BUT NEVER MENTION YOU USED A DUMP.

Thank you Brad for the info regarding the MCITP. I was gunning it to pass this test before July 13, 2013 because I thought I had to in order to earn my 2008 MCSA. I don't really want the 2008 server MCITP - I want the MCSA Server 2008. So you're saying wait until after July 13 to take the 646 so I can earch the MCSA 2008?

No ,VAS you got it wrong - What is going to happen is that MCITP certification will cease on 31 July 2013- and certain exams.This means if you write 70-640,70-642,70-646 now ,you will be credited with MCITP:SERVER ADMINISTRATOR .but.if you write after 31 July 2013 -You will get MCSA-Windows Server 2008. I know this has been answered many times regarding the expiry date for the exams. These exams expire January 14th 2014, not July 31st 2013?! So if i'm going for my MSCA 2008, I have until Jan 14th 2014 to complete 640, 642, and 646?

I don't know where in my head I though it was July 31st. Maybe because I switched from MCITP: EA to MSCA 2008? I'm use to Cisco tracks, I find Microsoft is confusing!

i was confused wy to use dsadd but A and B do not have the I from import
so the only you can use even its a pain in the behind is dsadd for those 100. computers.
if it was csvde.exe -i -f FILENAME.csv then it would be A.!!
so dont blindly ( if you dont know that already! ) go ahead but read maybe in your MS exam its -i -f
because without the -i or /i if will default to export!

Passed 2 hours ago, 769. 2 new Questions from the top of my head was a power shell command where the objective was to import users from a .txt file into the AD database,drop down list was provided for both commands. The other one- How to prevent a GPO with assigned applications from applying to group members with insufficient disk space. Many thanks go to venomous for this dump

Hi prawnyhead.I'm thinkn it affects too.choose expert for all survey qsns.FAILED the exam last week.the qsns were foreign and very hard.next time am going for skill average and below!.If anyone out there can confirm if it affects would be a great help.anyhow better safe than sorry
