However, if you have passed the two exams: 640 and 642, you can still achieve other, more current Microsoft certifications. Please note that if you decide to take the exam 646, you will be granted with Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate: Windows Server 2008.

Afterwards, if you wish, you can take the exam 417 and upgrade to MCSA: Windows Server 2012, and then proceed to other, more advanced certifications.

it says that the certification already has been retired, but the exam still valid.

GreatDump, that is true for the MCITP: Enterprise Administrator, but the last day to receive the MCITP: Server Administrator was yesterday. While you can still take the exams to apply towards other certifications, they cannot be used to receive that title.

Used only this dump to prepare for the exam. Scored 812 after browsing the answers for several hours. I'm sure if I studied longer and harder I would've scored much higher. The explanations for the answers are excellent. Fairly sure there's some miscommunication re: MCITP certification, but if you go to their website, you'll see the certification expiration date (and all related exams) has been pushed back to Jan 31, 2014.

I'm 99% sure the answer for Exam K - Lucerne Publishing, queston 4, should be D (manual password changes). Microsoft states that clusters cannot use Managed Service Accounts. If it were an standalone SQL server (not clustered), MSA's would work fine.

Quick question. Exam C, Q23. Answer on it is C, however just configuring the upstream server to the branch office does not ensure requirement one "WSUS updates are approved independently for each satellite office", as even when server uses another WSUS server as upstream, it can be in replica mode.

I'm I missing something here? Also, just took a look the technet http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd939815(v=ws.10).aspx and indeed the step on which you choose if the server is a replica or not includes choosing the upstream server.

Might be because domain administrators are automatically allowed to connect to internal clients through RD Gateway.
So that leaves File Server Administrators (CAP) have to connect to DFS servers (RAP) and file servers (RAP) through RD Gateway.

I used this dump, plus the ones from Dedalus and Gaberson and passed this exam today with a 918. There were 27 multiple choice/point & click and 3-7 questions for each of the 3 scenarios. Vaild and passed with really good score. But I cannot stress this enough: When it comes to the case studies, you need to understand the concepts and look at the information. A lot of the case studies have similar answers, so you need to be able to look at the info and figure out the little differences. (Like the WSUS questions) The way this file is arranged is also good, but remember to set the software to mix up answer choices, because they are also mixed on the exam.

I believe MS doesnt send paper copy of certificates automatically. I never bothered with it but something tells me than they will want extra money for such service.

The exam had the three case studies A. Datum, Contoso, and School of Fine Arts. I was able to get a 836 which is good but I felt that "Planning for Server Management" is where I lost a lot of points. Other than that this dump is valid. Thanks Tene!

Hi my friends, i think my question not suitable to be asked here (maybe) , I finished the 3 exams for MCITP (MCSA) ,will microsoft ship the certificate automatically ( depends on the provided address) ,or I need additional procedures to get the certificate ?

Got 945 as well. Had Silverlight, DISM and DCS questions.

In E15 you are asked to chose 3 products for 3 goals respectively i.e. this technology for this goal etc, so WSUS in answer doesn't make sence.

I recommend this dump , but first you NEED to watch cpt nuggets videos , and arm your self by well understanding of VMs , and RDP, Clustering , GPO .

it will make it very easy to memories the dump and you will find yourself answering most of the question correctly without many explanation !!

As I said Earlier I went to the Exam today.

I got 45 questions overall, and from them, 3 Testlets (18 questions).
First, I got Wingtip Toys with question 2-6 and after that, Lucerne Publishing with question 1, 3-8, 10 then the general questions (27 questions) and then the last Testlet, Northwind Traders, with questions 1-5

In general questions I got the new one (see below - I choose answer A) and then :

Multiple Choice Exam B: 5 - 13 - 16
Multiple Choice Exam C: 3 - 9 - 12 - 16 - 20 - 23 - 25

I used the dump I have put together, and my result was:

3. Monitoring and Maintaining Servers - Strong (no answer wrong)
4. Planning Applications and Data Provisioning - Strong (2 answers wrong)

The Resulting score was 945.

Just beware that some of the questions has a different wording, but the meaning is the same, and the graphic drag and drop/Point and Click is a bit different but that's all.

Wrote today in South Africa, this is 70% valid, a lot of new questions and questions that are in a completely different format to the ones in the dump or have different choices for answers.

K8 states that we can use WDS + Win ReE in SanFrance, But in K7 we assume that we can use this only on win2008 server. Is that right?

Baldwin-10 - does VSS really satisfy requirement? You need to restore exactly last previous version, not one of previous versions from time when VSS was scheduled to run. Gabersam explained this pretty good I think.

There is some confusion around this question because in its current form no answer is 100% correct.
If we take a look at the requirements they point to a server core installation
minimize the attack surface
minimize disk space (no gui to waste disk space on)
That narrows it down to A & B
The info "You are designing a server infrastructure to support a new stateful application."
means that we are talking about a failover cluster :
Failover clusters are designed for applications that have long-running in-memory state, or that have
large, frequently updated data states. These are called stateful applications.
Regarding Network Load Balancing:
Network Load Balancing is intended for applications that do not have long-running in-memory state.
These are called stateless applications.
So that leaves us with A and B, and non of them is correct.
Answer A :
"Perform a Server Core installation of Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition. Configure both
servers in a failover cluster."
It does say failover cluster, but it's not supported in the Standard Edition.
Answer B:
"Perform a Server Core installation of Windows Server 2008 R2. Configure both servers in a
Windows Network Load Balancing array"
It's not stating the edition of the OS, and Network Load Balancing is not intended for statefull applications.
So if we have to do as requested "Select the BEST answer." A is the on that comes closest, with at least have Core installation and mention Failover Cluster.

So at the moment it's how it looks, non is 100% correct so take you pick A or B.
If the question is present in this form or has been removed, is only something people in the forum
can answer, so until we get more info it's our best layout.

In Exam C Q4 there is a question about failover clustering.

The test states that the right answer is a W2K8 Standard Core installation. However, Standard edtion of W2K8 does NOT have support for failover clustering.

From Technet:

"The failover cluster feature is available in Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise and Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter. The feature is not available in Windows Web Server 2008 R2 or Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard."

All other answers are also wrong. Is this question still legit?

I agree with Eric. This one is great because i studied the Gabersam exam and i was one question short of passing :( Dont get me wrong, Gabersam is still a good exam but with well you should be able to pass. Im writing my resit next wednesday so lets hope.

I like this one alot. It combines some great work done from Gabersam and corrects some wrong answers as well. Great work man I feel even more confident now :-) Will be testing later this week or early next week. Will post results. I would recommend this one for sure! Alot of corrections on the testlets

I have combined all we know by now in one file, including the Questions about : DISM - Silverlight and The circumvented Antivirus on XP VS Win7.(Exam D last 3 questions)

The work has been assembled from the following files : The awesome work from Gabersam and the new file from Satchmo plus the 3 questions regarding DISM - Silverlight and The circumvented XP/Win7 Antivirus.

There were differences between questions in the following scenarios :
Baldwin Museum of Science - Question 10
Graphic Design Institute, Case B - Question 8
Lucerne Publishing - Question 4 - 8 and 12
Tailspin Toys - Question 10

I did look in to the questions, and did find some technet explanations around the topics.
I did put them in to the explanations, and chose the answer built on the explanations, so they should be more up to date.

If there is any error - update them and repost the file, so we always have a new updated file available.
