I am reading the PMBOK 5th edition soft copy. any difference between the soft copy and the hard copy.

Guys ,planning to go for PMP exam next month can you suggest does anyone has has the latest dump which would be helpful pls.

Does anybody have latest selftestengine pmi dump with 700 questions ? I am taking my exam in 2 weeks. Yesterday I was talking to a friend who works in different block than me. He said 80% of the questions came from selftestengine dump. Guys where can I download it ?

However, it was valid one day. Is there an update on valid ness?

Here is method you should follow to pass the test;
Read PMBOK v4 at least 5 times or until you understand everything.
Make sure you can easily follow what is Input / Tools & Techniques / Output.
Exam will test your knowledge on ITTO with lots of case/scenario questions.
Read Andy Crowe's updated book for test takers after Aug 31st 2011.
Either Read or listen Rita's 7th Edition. I did both.
Finally, practice test from following web site; http://www.iil.com/ondemand/pmiq.asp
These questions written by Dr. Harold Kerzner.
I have his 10th edition book too. There is no way, you can finish reading it but it is a good reference book.
At my first attempt, I didn't follow anything from above and failed terribly.
At the second attempt, I followed all above and passed easily.

Do not attempt to search any dumps, there is none. You will be wasting your time.

PMBOK 5 is on the way, so time is essence, pass the PMP before new book comes out.

Hi guys, I read the topics here. I did the pmp exam in Dec last year and crashed. The lesson learnt is that i tried to master the PMBOK where as its a very minor % of question you get from the PMBOK, but its a Must read. I am planning to take the exam again and Reading PMP Exam Prep 6 edn. however there are changes in the Exam pattern cos Professional and Social Responsibility is blended witht the 5 process groups and makes the questions much trickier. This was noticed, cos the test questions had a different pattern. I practised the PMP Fasttrack 6, and even though its suppose to be harder than the Actual test, the final exam took a tootally different style. Most of the guys failed cos of this.

We need the PMP Exam Prep 7th Edn which is inline with the new exam pattern.

Hi Bali,

Not to mention that you must provide your past experiences in Project management. If you don't have enough, experience you may want to take the CAPM instead. In addition 15% of all applicant get audit, so you better be carefull how you submit your application.

You need to take a 36-hour training course from a training center, which MUST be a PMP accredited partner.
Once you complete this course, you can register for the exam online at www.pmi.org
Also, it is better to register yourself as a member first, so you can get a discount when you register for the exam.
Apart from your training costs, the exam and membership will cost $500.
You can study using the PMI's own Handbook and refer to their dictionary called the PMBOK.
Also, a better reading material is Ritá's PMP Manual 7th Edition, which is especially designed for people taking tests after 31'st August 2011.

How to pass PMP exam - A Review:

1. You should expect to study intensively for 1 to 3 months to pass the exam. If you plan to spend more than 3 months, you may forget what you study in the first beginning. Better to focus and get it done quickly.

they are OK quite close I guess.. again I cannot give a confirm answer its only 20 questions, base on the file it shouldnt be just asking tools/techniques or true/false, there should be some calculations or short scenario on top of it

but maybe that is just trial of 20 questions which only restrict to tools/techniques or true/false questions...

My first try was 60 percent and my second try was 75 percent (exclude repeated questions)

I would say score above 75 percent would be a good comfort level to get you ready for the exam. Also take note all processes (initiating, planning, executing, monitor and control, closing) to score average 70 percent, more important are the middle three processes.

Rita exam simulation are more tougher than the actual exam but that should
give you enough confident to pass the exam :)

what is the comfort level to give the exam if do the practice exam given in fast track. meaning what % i have to get in those exams to comfortably sit for the real exam.

so this dump is not valid but why is has the highest rating. :S

I browse through the first 50 questions and I would say "generally NO", they are close to the practise questions that I attempt before but not yet close to the actual exam questions. Please don't quote me as I have only attempt to browse through 50 out of that 3000 over questions but do take note that there is a possiblitiy that PMI will change the order of the answer and rephrase the questions. If you are attempting to take the exam by using the above dump ONLY, chances are you will fail. Some of the answers does not provide any explanations and the way the dumps explanation answers might not be the correct way of interpreting from PMI standpoint.

Try using a different strategy on passing PMP - the traditional "memorize and attempt" method works well for microsoft certifications (or even cisco in some cases) but not for PMP exam.

Yes I agreed, me too study dumps for my cisco and microsoft exam. As for pmp exam it will be too counter productive to go through all 3000 over questions, you will find reading Rita/PMBOK books more interesting and easy to understand. Then test yourself using this dump to know your gaps and target to clear the exam by end of august.

I've read all the comments on this dump, and i must say, its pretty an interesting read.
As much as i am not against studying dumps to write exams, ( i do myself), however, i do strongly recommend that studying the PMBOK and other study materials, and using this as a revision tool to hone your knowledge in preparation for the exam, should be the RIGHT WAY to be a PMP.

Passed my exam yesterday, no point memorize those dumps. have an in-depth understanding of all processes and knowledge areas..

Below are my exam experience;

Calculation - they are pretty straight forward, need to know how to calculate free float, earned value, payback period and expected monetary calculations. Memorize those formulas.
Conflict methods - know the different types of conflict technique, able to analyze base on different scenarios
Know the power of PM - formal, reward, penalty, expert etc
Alot of questions will be tested based on knowledge areas and their input/output, tools and technique, know when to apply which type of tools and techniques - again, depend on the questions scenario
There has been alot of questions coming out from Quality Management and Professional and social responsibility. Understand what PM should do base on code of ethics from PMI are important as well.
A number of questions asked about types of organization - projectized, functional and matrix (strong and weak)

Study method:
Know your gaps
Understand the tools and techniques use
Understand the input/output of each process
Know what are the types of constraints - scope, time, cost
Know how to do calculations
Strongly recomemmend on Rita's book
Definition of earned value measurement (All)

Total quetions are 200 out of which 25 are testin question which will be not included for passing score.Out of 175 questio you have 135 answer should be correct.The total passing score is 135/200=67.5%...

But result will be either passed or failed.nO % percentage will be dicleared.
