@mrt how many question on the exam and what is the passing score
pnikies
THE Q:199 answer is B
if you ram licenes over it.
your VM can still power on,but will recice a notified!! in your control console!!(on vsphere client)
Has anyone else attempted the exam with this dump + updates?
I believe the answer to Q.92 is A&D.
In the explanation given, #5 clearly gives the answer. Can someone else take a look and confirm.
**correction**
Q 41 should be D. D should read "%RDY" as there is not %RPV counter.
+Q: How do I know CPU resource is under contention?+
+A: %RDY is a main indicator. But, it is not sufficient by itself.+
Q 41 is wrong too.
Should be A [%RUN]
http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-11812
+Q: What does it mean if %RUN of a VM is high?+
+A: The VM is using lots of CPU resource. It does not necessarily mean the VM is under resource constraint. Check the description of %RDY below, for determining CPU contention.+
I wish if somebody can correct the answer on VCE and upload. It would be beneficial to everyone here who is in the process of taking the test soon.
Nick is right on Q 17. The answer should be B & C.
Q22: Answered A, but provided text says answer is D.
Q 17 is wrong: "Which two conditions must exist on all hosts in the cluster if EVC is used":
Should be B & C. Check out page 127 of the "Host / Management Guide"
Q1: I'm pretty sure its C and D. B is misleading because you CAN boot from USB in esxi 4.1. (all my 4.1 hosts do this)
Q7: I mean C and D
Q7, Should be A,B. NFS is totally different to VMFS
Hi Leonardo
I think, the ques 17: the answer is B +C
Thank you Leonardo!
Good luck for next friday!
Hello pctool, I will perform the test next friday (11/04/2011). Because that I use the VCE how a way to study for my test.
Hey Testtaker,
You tell us how your exam goes?
Sugestion
Q 48 AC
For my experience the virtual machine needs to get an extra CPU or get moved to other ESXi because there are not resources available in that one.
oups
Q199:C (vRAM)
Q 99 : AC
Q99 : C
According to Licensing FAQ :
Only vSphere Essentials and Essentials Plus implement a hard enforcement of vRAM capacity. VMware vCenter Server Standard does not prevent you from exceeding the available vRAM capacity; It only signals that the licensing of the environment is out of compliance. To check the compliance a 12 month rolling average of the consumed vRAM is considered and it should be less than the pooled vRAM entitlement.

Q28 Answer B is correct ->http://www.yellow-bricks.com/vmware-high-availability-deepdiv/#HA-50isolated
To alle the others.
If you provide corrections, documentaion would be very helpful
Great Job Leonardo, Thank You
These are my proposals :
Q28 : B
Default Host Isolation Response is "Leave Powered On" and according to the question all hosts are disconnected from the management network
Q43 : C / Q62 : AC ?
Q72 : B / Q86 : BCD / Q89 : BC / Q91 : B / Q101 : D / Q105 : B / Q122 : D / Q124 : A VGT require VLAN 4095 / Q132 : D
Q137 : ADE / Q138 : C / Q146 : AC / Q149 : BC
So for Question 11 the correct Answers are A and C.
A = The timeout setting is the number of minutes that can elapse before you must log in after ESXi Shell is enabled. After the timeout period, if you have not logged in, the ESXi Shell is disabled.
C = The table lists TCP and UDP ports, and the purpose and the type of each. Ports that are open by default at installation time are indicated by (Default). As it clearly states installation and not when SSH is enable.. I hope this has cleared the confusion for this question.
Hello Leonardo, 0 timeout by default means the session will not time out.
Enable ESXi Shell and SSH Access with the Direct Console User Interface
(Optional) Set the timeout for the ESXi Shell.
By default, the timeout for the ESXi Shell is 0 (disabled).
The timeout setting is the number of minutes that can elapse before you must log in after ESXi Shell is enabled. After the timeout period, if you have not logged in, the ESXi Shell is disabled.
Note
If you are logged in when the timeout period elapses, your session persists. However, the ESXi Shell is disabled, preventing other users from logging in.
Hello Leonardo, Please refer to this link **** http://pubs.vmware.com/vsphere-50/index.jsp **** and read below, hopefully this make it clearer for you.
TCP and UDP Ports for Management Access
vCenter Server, ESXi hosts, and other network components are accessed using predetermined TCP and UDP ports. If you manage network components from outside a firewall, you might be required to reconfigure the firewall to allow access on the appropriate ports.
The table lists TCP and UDP ports, and the purpose and the type of each. Ports that are open by default at installation time are indicated by (Default).
Hence I think C is the only correct answer!
I've looked over this exam, it is nice to see that the answers are explained with screenshots taken from the official vmware documentation. This seems very trustworthy. We'll see how this goes, I have an exam next monday.
Hello sampath, This questions is not from Web site www.real-questions.com, this are the real questions from VCP-510 exam. A friend of mine do the test and confirm that. My friend send me more 5 questions of his test. This is a PERSONAL DUMP.
Take a look, I review question by question with my friend.
Thanks
http://www.real-questions.com/ This is a No.1 fraud website. Long back i purchased GMAT brain dumps not even 1 questions appeared form their dumps and i lost the whole money. This dump will never work.
Hello Tom, I installed a new ESXi 5 to confirm question 11, and per default a new ESXi firewall didn't open 22 port. Only after enable SSH service ESX firewall open port 22.
And in oficial docs the Shell Time out is disable.
Considering a fresh install, with all default settings the option C and D are correct.
Thanks for reply.
Queation 11 is incorrect. By default ESXi firewall is enabled.
C is the correct answer.. and A is the closest answer that could be right as it states the shell timeout is set too low.. in other words its not set to the default which is 0.
Personally think the way this question is phrased i would only say C is 100% correct.
Brilliant !! - Still going through at this time but learning far more than before !!
